    Thinking “one layer at a time” without any commitment to a final painting can be very FREEING! In this video, I am creating a neutral painting. I just love yellow ochre as it is a wonderful neutral.
    I am working on an 8” x 8” printing paper. My first layer usually begins with words to set an intention for the piece.

      You’re the first one in a while who has said they love the music instead of ditch the music. Lol.

    Just love this! I'm thinking to myself stop there! but you carry on and it turns out so lovely. I need to learn from this and not be afraid of covering over bits I like in my work 🙃 It makes for a more interesting piece, full of depth. Thank you x

    What a journey! Every time I think I know where you're going to place an item, you switch it up and I'm left stymied because I wouldn't have thought of it. Wonderful. Just wonderful.

    I love your layering work you do. Also enjoy the relaxing music and the fact that you put in writing what you are doing and what you're using. what kind of print paper are you using to be able to stand all the mediums and papers ? And thank you so much for sharing your knowledge I found it very helpful and encouraging.

      Bev Berthoty so glad that you liked it. Here I am using a glass panel so I can use my beater. Other times I use tracing paper on top of wet blue mechanics towels. They stay wet for about a week. I will be uploading another one tomorrow. I see that you have subscribed. Thank you!

    What is the point of covering up the writing?

    • @micheleholdenart
      @micheleholdenart  3 роки тому +2

      The writing is used to activate the surface and set an intention.

      The outcome is beautiful, but I did regret some of the writing disappearing because that looked awesome too
