I know absolutely 0 about this man, the country he sings of or what it really looks like. But I do know he could be singing about the home my Mama spoke of with such love. And it brought her instantly to me, for those 2:30, I was a girl again.

He comes from N. W. Wales in the Snowdonia area. This song, to me, is very descriptive of this area though that is probably coincidental. One of the world's finest opera singers.
He is the top operatic baritone in the world, Sir Bryn Terfel, well worth listening to his other stuff.
