They actually produced a video for this tune - much music & MTV days. They would often play this tune whilst walking around throughout the performance venue, Alain & Michel fully wireless & Paul with a marching snare. It was awesome!
This song... all of a sudden it's the early 80's again, and I'm in my parents living room watching cartoons on Saturday morning. God help me if anything happens to this video.
I saw Uzeb for the very first time around this era and lineup. I had never heard of them, a small club in Toronto, and they totally blew the roof off. When they played 60, Rue Des Lombards near the end, the energy built and built, the crowd flipped out much like this. Try to imagine this sort of performance combined with incredible sound, Alain Caron's bass racing like mad under those drums and the searing guitar. Honestly, a musical memory I'll never forget.
Saw them at Lee’s palace back when they released their noisy nights album. Just blew me away how talented this group is. Alan plays that bass like a fucking boss. 👍
I was there for that recording... It was amazing and after that I got the same speakers as Alain, and a 5 string fretless also.... Still haven't mastered the bass as Alain, but heck... I'll keep trying even though I'm 54 today.... lol!!!!
If this tune were released today, it would chew up and spit out pretty much anything coming out these days. What a solid groove and such an uplifting vamp!
Love it. What a great tune! I'm teaching this snare pattern and groove to my drum students now. These guys are some of the best musicians I've ever seen. Alain Caron is so smooth on the bass. Effortless for him. And I'm impressed the keyboard player can jump on the drums and play the pattern. Traditional Grip even!! I teach both grips. Excellent piece of work.
The keyboard player was a drummer first and an excellent drummer. I heard him in the early eighties with the guitarist and the bassist and he was amazing on drums.
UZEB was never afraid to try something with a bit of originality, like the "two drummers up front" here. I remember once where, to start the show, they all gathered around a microphone at the front of the stage (no instruments) and did a really cool percussion piece with just handclaps. Combine that sense of fun and surprise with their writing and musicianship, and how could you lose?
Jean St-Jacques is fabulous! Awesome keyboard player and awesome drummer as well! He was just a friend of these guys at school. He's a monstruous musician!!!
It's difficult to believe that 25 years ago UZEB played at my CEGEP's winter carnival and the room was about half full because nobody knew who these guys were. I also remember that the student body president wanted to beat the crap out of Michel Cusson because he kept making eyes at his girlfriend during the show. Despite that, it was an awesome occasion.
English version: The team guitar-synthé + keyboads made them able to got a gigantic sound at the time! Moreover the compos were amazing and the level, awesome! Thank you, JH L
Magnifique !!! Hallucinant !!!

Man!That bassline is beast❤
This is what Montreal sounded like in the 80s, great, sophisticated and groovy.
Me ramène en arrière😊j'avais envie d'écouter ça!🎉
* Their music truly made this world a better place - 30 years ago and still today. Bravo UZEB ! Je T'aime Beaucoup - Toujours ! :) :)

The eighties with this dynamic jazz-fusion with a particular atmosphere that many of us miss.
Many souvenirs.
Congrats to Uzeb!
Greetings from Paris!

Arrest these men!!! All of them!!! They just absolutely murdered that song. WOW!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!
It is partly because ot bands like this, that I am proud to be Canadian.
Right. And not just because they sold half a million records without any real American support! Huge for a Jazz Fusion band.

I saw this whole concert on BET in the eighties. It was as jaw dropping then as it still is today. Regret never seeing these guys live. Incredible!
Saw them at Lees Palace in Toronto. Noisy nights, IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
Que dite de plus que magnifique !!!
Purs instruments, purs accords....extra MUSIC !!!!!
