Take out battery, remove battery tray and air filter housing and access from top. No need to remove wheel or wheel well or any under pinning. 🤷♂️

I cant remove the plug with the red sliding lock. Its stuck. Is there some trick i need to unplug that connector?
Honestly either way you have to remove crap because it's a terribly designed German Crapbox

It solved the problem? I have a 2008 B6 Passat TSI with the same engine disposition. My car doesn't crank and I think it might be the starter.
Yup ... it did ... had to change the battery as well which was also dead ...
This car wasn't cranking as well ... make sure the battery is good
