Nice video. I loved the lack of ear drum busting acid rock music. Plain and simple fishing video with underwater footage. If I could do anything different it would be trying different lures as an experiment. Since you are not keeping fish, it would not matter if there was no catch, but with UW camera one could see the reaction to different lures.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I was just thinking about the same thing today. We are planning some videos with no music at all, just the sound of nature and whatever action we capture.
Great video fellas and watch a bunch of great footage under water...I don't share many video's on my Google plus but I will be sharing this one...Love the video's guys...This sure are some lucky fish being released only to be caught again...Take care, Gonzo...
Heith Gagnon Thank you for your comments and for sharing our video on your Google Plus page. Your support means a lot to us and we really appreciate it. We had a great herring seasonand I think we finally figured out how to catch them. The underwater footagehelps to understand how they behave and what jigs, movements they are attractedto. We can’t wait to create more videos with the GoPro. Thanks again for yourhelp.
***** Thank you so much for your comment. I'm glad you liked the underwater footage; it's addicting, we want to create more. How much longer is ice fishing season going to last where you live?
Fish OnLine Away on a hunting trip now but will be heading off for a fishing trip soon after I gets back, days are finally warming up nice, will be enjoying many springs days out on the ice ...!!!
***** Good luck with the hunting trip. We look for ward to more videos from you. Ice fishing is over for us, yesterday was the last time we went out. Good luck and thanks for keeping in touch.
Wow that underwater footage was awesome! Didn't know those herring got so large 0.0 I've never caught those in st clair but I do know I've caught and seen tons of shad before.
rubadux Thanks for watching. It was two days before SaintPatrick's Day, I hope no one put green beer into the water. We had a great time, I can't wait to film again soon.
Fantastic video. Great skills my friend. Hope it gets cold again soon. I walk off Creighton st in Atherly and around grape Island. (no sled) any tips u could have in a video regarding similar depths or fish in a video would be great.
Thank you for watching and commenting. We are waiting for colder weather too, it looks like we still have to be patient for a few more days. This year is a bit different from the last. The emerald shiners moved into the marina in Barrie a few weeks later than usual. We caught a few jumbo perch, but not as many as a few years ago. We usually find herring in 10 to 40 feet of water. Sometimes we are jigging large trout spinners or spoons to attract them and when they move in we switch to swedish pimples. We can't wait to go out again. We'll keep you posted and have a great ice-fishing season.
I recently just got obsessed with herring fishing, caught my first one on kempenfelt bay this year. I've caught them at BBP and Innisfil before too. Where would you say is the best part of simcoe to catch them? The ones you catch in the videos are massive too, super cool fish
dedicatedhunter (mike poirier) Thank you for watching, more is on the way. I never wanted so much for the ice to stay a bit longer. This ice fishing stuff can be addicting...
Tossdart Thank you for watching and for your comment, you are raising an interesting questionabout pollution and the quality of meat. We are promoting conservation andshowing many release videos, but we also kept some fish. They are excellent toeat, and we always wanted to make a video about the recipe. We only fish inwaters where the fish is clean enough to eat and I bet anyone that if I wouldexamine grocery bought fish or meat, it would be much higher in pollutants. Iam a biology teacher, my son Peter is fishing in the videos. You have raised anexcellent point, thank you. I see some future videos about the quality of fishand the pollutants. If you would like to see some recipes, please let us know. Thanks again for watching.

Sorry for the late reply. If you go out from Minet's Point about 150-200 yards, you should find some there.
Cool stuff guys

Those are some nice herring peter
Thank you +rubadux Thanks for the great comments. Please pick any fishing topic you would like us to film in the near future.
Are they no good to eat I mean polluted. Other wise it would seem herring to be a bonus to grocery bill.
