I'm suffering Plantar fascitis in my right foot. It has bothered me for more than a couple of months now and I'm still unable to walk normally. I limp most of the time, and my gait looks very awkward to onlookers. I feel pain when wearing any kind of footwear, be it soft ones, hard ones, medicated foam slippers, etc. I'm at my wit's end about what to do about it.

Hey I currently have it in my left foot and been using a lacrosse ball to ease tension. It started becoming more prevalent after my ankle/ligament injury back in July cause by a sports injury. Currently I feel it when my shoes are too tight and after my runs. I love running and this has affected my ability to run often. Do you have any advice? I also go to a regular chiropractor every week.
I would be suspect that it’s stemming from your ankle. Is that ankle stiffer than the other, i.e., less range of motion than before the injury? Does your chiro adjust your ankles or give you a home exercise for them? If not I would find a McKenzie Method clinician near you. Do a clinician search at www.mckenzieinstituteusa.org/
It depends. Scar tissue is not always painful. Sometimes it has to do with how your mechanics are affected as a result of the injury that caused scar tissue formation. Unfortunately, it’s specific to the person so I can give you a straight answer. Also, most podiatrists look at only the feet. See a movement specialist. We’re chiropractors and we treat foot issues where podiatry did not work.
Things I noticed about this kind of foot pain: I started a job where I sit most of the day and my fascitis got worse. I'm really bad at taking breaks, so that's my bad. I stopped stretching daily and that made it waaay worse, plus I started feeling my sciatica acting up. Massaging where he is scraping with a massage gun on the lowest setting (slow but hard) feels REALLY good and helps alleviate the pain in my piriformis. I guess it's connected or something... I went back to the gym and stretching my calves/hammies is already helping a ton. Driving triggers the pain in my butt all the way down to my foot. I wear barefoot shoes, but I think I need an insert for the arch because my feet tend to supinate when they hurt a lot (mornings).
The behavior you described sounds like your sciatic symptoms are extending down to your foot, mimicking plantar fasciitis. Not true plantar fasciitis. Get it properly assessed and treated. Goto the “find a provider” section of this website: www.mckenzieinstituteusa.org/
You have to wear good support shoes. No walking around bare foot. Fill a bottle with water freeze it place it on the floor under a towel rub your foot over the top. Brings down the inflammation.

Get a empty bottle fill it with water freeze it, then roll you bad foot over the top. That will bring down the inflammation. Wear good support shoes. I also got orthotics to go in my boots made up from a podiatrist. PF is a very painful condition it hurts to just put your foot to the floor. I have a Morton’s neuroma also , and that too is painful.
Wear good shoes , and get inserts. Freeze a water bottle , put a towel on the floor and keep rubbing your foot over the top it will bring down the inflammation. A tennis ball can help too in the same way.
Everyone speaks of treatment and relief. How about the cure? If someone who has no history of foot issues or any injuries, developed this from due to stress caused by a bad pair of shoes, how can this be resolved permanently? I'm using a theragun, stretches, foot massage, marine collagen supplement, diclofenac sodium topical gel, and orthotics.
Musculoskeletal pain is not a disease so there is no “cure”. Its about figuring put how to reduce the tension causing the pain and maintaining balance. Was it a bad pair of shoes, or a weak and unstable foot? Or maybe too much stress on the tissues? It’s likely multifactorial. Ultimately, the tissues need to heal, and the foot and other structures that support the foot need to be stabilized. How to do that depends on the individual based on an expert’s assessment. That’s why clinicians exist.
I had pain in my heal , I use to lay down and dig my other big toe into the heal, and kept moving my bad foot in a circular motion. It hurt like anything to begin with. But eventually it went.
Hey. I cannot even go for my daily needs, washroom or anything. It is difficult to even walk to a person’s support. Please notice my comment. It is a request.
Freeze a bottle of water roll your foot over the top it will bring down the inflammation. But wrap the bottle in a towel so you don’t get freezer burn. Hope this helps.
@karenimran3349 Appreciate you wanting to help, but the frozen water bottle strategy will only temporarily reduce symptoms - does not address why it’s happening. They mentioned since 2022 so this is a chronic problem, not a one-off situation.
Maybe I have that , idk. When ever I'm just about to fall asleep I get severe cramps in my soles. Happens at least 10 times a night. So o wake up everytime 💀 gotta stomp my feet around to make it stop
Did you do any physical therapy or rehab exercises along with the injections? Injections can help with the pain but it doesn’t solve the underlying reason the problem is there. It’s just like taking advil or aleve, short term symptom reduction.
@@Reachrehabchiro honestly no :( and I stopped working out legs this week I’m trying to prevent from getting worse but now I did started doing stretching exercises and using a frozen water bottle to roll on to for 15 min thankfully it started going down :) but I’ll u think I should stop working out legs for a while??

Never Crocs 😅. It depends on your level of foot function. Walking barefoot at home is great but some people can only tolerate it for so long. Even with barefoot/minimalist shoes, I always recommend you start with a small amount you know you can handle. Then keep doing a little bit more every day, every week. Building up foot function and capacity is like running a marathon - gotta be take your time, be consistent, and can’t sprint it at any point. Good luck!
@@Reachrehabchiro Thank you I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a year and a half now, I've taken too many anti-inflammatory drugs and none of them helped, not even a bit.
@@ReachrehabchiroThat’s interesting. My foot doctor said I shouldn’t walk barefoot. Do crocs as my household shoe. I’ve done barefoot in my home since I was a kid. My pain comes and goes. Stretching before getting out of bed decreases my pain.
True but slippery slope. Insoles are like crutches. The more you use them the more your feet become deconditioned (weak). As that perpetuates, you will likely get to the point where you can’t tolerate being barefoot. Thus you rely on cushy shoes to function. This behavior likely leads to other issues that are not worth it and quite preventable.
@jfros9794 Love barefoot shoes but the caveat is you have to slowly build up tolerance to using them. If wearing barefoot shoes is an 8th grade level and your feet are at a 2nd grade level, they won’t be able to handle the load, proverbially speaking.
@steph7115 To be specific depends on the person, but in general, I recommend shoes with wide toe boxes (most are too narrow), and spending more time barefoot, especially around the house. If you cant handle wood floors, lightly supported slippers is a good start. Walking barefoot in grass is phenomenal as the surface has give and the texture of the ground wakes up all the small muscles in the foot. The foot is meant to move dynamically. Always wearing super cushy shoes cause loss of ability due to lack of need.
Roll a tennis ball or fill a bottle with water freeze it, roll it under your foot. I had plantar fasciitis the iced water bottle brought down the swelling.

That mid area hurts so bad on my left foot. Ive pulled my toes back to stretch it and using a tool to massage it and I’m dying 😢. That area is just so tender I even tried rolling it on a ball and my GOD help me. I’ve had this for a while but it comes and goes. So far it’s been consistent for almost a month and I’m worried it’s gotten worse
Im sorry to hear and would 100% recommend seeing a professional for this. In the meantime, get some basic shoe inserts and wear supportive shoes to take the edge off with daily activities. Hang in there!
We love barefoot shoes, but it's unfortunately not that simple. If someone has deconditioned feet walking barefoot "as much as you can" can CAUSE plantar fasciitis because the load on the tissues is too fast too soon. It's like saying if you want to get stronger, just lift the max amount of weight you can many times for a few weeks.
"doc, is this normal?" "Uuumm, yes totally normal. First I tickle with the feather, then a nice massage with my tongue. Do you wanna get better, or not?"

Thanks for the comment and sorry to hear. You may have to do them with shoes and with arch support/orthotics. Please see a professional to diagnoses and help you with the issue.

We are located in Plymouth, MI. Just west of Detroit.
Ok I was hoping you were in NYC
ive had this over a year but when i wear high heels it goes😢
As in goes bad? If so, makes sense. Even though they are “sexy,” high heels are awful footwear to the absolute max.
Calf stretch plz try for cure 🙏🙏
Put both hand on wall . One foot wih bent knee(ankle angle 90)
The other foot put back (no knee bend) at ankle the foot and shin angle wil be like 45 degree .

Plantar fascitis or police heel . pain is horrible and worse. It cant be cure instantly..Cant run, walk longer, even cant stand more than 10-15 mins.
Painful condition and so is a Morton’s neuroma.
Yes. It can be very debilitating to most.
I wish there was how to do these things to myself.
There is.
I don't know what to do already with this pain
How can I get treatment

Man my heel is killing me I believe it’s PF but I’m
Not sure
Depends. Could be fat pad syndrome if its on the heel and depending on how it was injured. Regardless, foot pain/injuries suck…Hang in there!
I had pain in my heal , I use to lay down and dig my other big toe into the heal, and kept moving my bad foot in a circular motion. It hurt like anything to begin with. But eventually it went.
I would die if someone presses this hard
My mother's heel was also painful. Because of which, if she gets up and walks, it would be difficult to walk and her legs would also get swollen۔
I have this rn. Worst pain ever. Im just watching video exercises.
PF sucks why does it come and go the way it does ? ive had it 2 times.
Can anyone tell me whats the tool he used ?
It’s call a “FAST Tool”. There are lots of similar tools for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization on the internet.
Thanks bhaiya
im from Philippines please help me to decreased pain in my heal pain😭

@@Reachrehabchiro thank you
Hey. I started getting PF winter of 2022, it was painfully but I could walk and do usual activities but this winter it is severe right now at the moment I am typing this comment with tears in my eyes, it has almost been a week and now I literally cannot walk not even walk I cannot even stand!!!! Please suggest some home remedies exercises or anything. I am starting of giving up on myself. I cannot bear this pain anymore. Please help me out. I cannot even go for my daily needs, washroom or anything. It is difficult to even walk to a person’s support. Please notice my comment. It is a request.
There’s no such thing as “home remedies” for this. You need to be evaluated and treated by a professional.
Consider taking some magnesium before bed.

I got the injections but now it came back again :(
Did you do any physical therapy or rehab exercises along with the injections? Injections can help with the pain but it doesn’t solve the underlying reason the problem is there. It’s just like taking advil or aleve, short term symptom reduction.
@@Reachrehabchiro honestly no :( and I stopped working out legs this week I’m trying to prevent from getting worse but now I did started doing stretching exercises and using a frozen water bottle to roll on to for 15 min thankfully it started going down :) but I’ll u think I should stop working out legs for a while??
@@mariorodriguez5723I do the frozen bottle trick too. Rest doesn't help it all. I can barely walk after 8 hours of sleep. Look up "2 stretches to heal plantar fasciitis" here on yt. I'm on day 4 and feel 75% better
@@lanethemane thank u!! I will try ! :)
@@mariorodriguez5723 you're welcome buddy this pain is no joke so I'm always trying to help a brother out. I don't wish this on my worst enemy

What do you recommend, walking barefoot at home or wear crocs?
Never Crocs 😅. It depends on your level of foot function. Walking barefoot at home is great but some people can only tolerate it for so long. Even with barefoot/minimalist shoes, I always recommend you start with a small amount you know you can handle. Then keep doing a little bit more every day, every week. Building up foot function and capacity is like running a marathon - gotta be take your time, be consistent, and can’t sprint it at any point. Good luck!

Thank you
I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a year and a half now, I've taken too many anti-inflammatory drugs and none of them helped, not even a bit.
Why crocks?
@@paristonhill2752did you find a solution?
@@ReachrehabchiroThat’s interesting. My foot doctor said I shouldn’t walk barefoot. Do crocs as my household shoe. I’ve done barefoot in my home since I was a kid. My pain comes and goes. Stretching before getting out of bed decreases my pain.
How to people find dr's like this. Maybe it's just Arkansas/Missouri but every dr I go too seems like a joke.
You’ve got some in Missouri with the chiro school in Chesterfield. Look up F.I.T. muscle & Joint Clinic - fitmjc.com
Thank you inserts in shoes help also for correct support
True but slippery slope. Insoles are like crutches. The more you use them the more your feet become deconditioned (weak). As that perpetuates, you will likely get to the point where you can’t tolerate being barefoot. Thus you rely on cushy shoes to function. This behavior likely leads to other issues that are not worth it and quite preventable.
@@ReachrehabchiroWhat do you suggest?
@@Reachrehabchirowould recommend barefoot 🦶 shoes
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Got plantar fascitis barely can walk all i can do is limp
Get it treated and hang in there
Roll a tennis ball or fill a bottle with water freeze it, roll it under your foot. I had plantar fasciitis the iced water bottle brought down the swelling.
@@karenimran3349how r u now
I need to know what kind of doctor I need for plantar fasciitis? Please help me I am so much in pain. I can’t walk anymore!!! 🥲
I’m not touching feet
this doesn't do anything
What doesn’t? There are multiple therapies here.
@@Reachrehabchiro nah because I did this stupid shit for 2 months once a week and my feet still hurt like hell

I have this problem... But i m dealing with it
I’ve had It too. Sometimes it’s simple to resolve, other times it’s quite stubborn. Hang in there.

Doesn’t matter
This very much looks like physiotherapy though. Not chiropractic.
You’re right. What are you suggesting?
The pain will disappear eventually within 2 days
Why not in one, eventually?
Why they all dressed like that😅

You know what, you’re right, Steve. We should just stay in our lane opposed to being innovative, providing and exceptional service that’s helps people better beyond the status quo. Thank you for your wisdom. 👏
That mid area hurts so bad on my left foot. Ive pulled my toes back to stretch it and using a tool to massage it and I’m dying 😢. That area is just so tender
I even tried rolling it on a ball and my GOD help me.
Or just start walking barefoot for a few weeks as much as you can.
We love barefoot shoes, but it's unfortunately not that simple. If someone has deconditioned feet walking barefoot "as much as you can" can CAUSE plantar fasciitis because the load on the tissues is too fast too soon. It's like saying if you want to get stronger, just lift the max amount of weight you can many times for a few weeks.
this would be the perfect profession for a person with a foot fetish 😅
Until they do weird stuff and lose their license…
takeaway: enjoy but just don’t go overboard.
j/k 😅
😅
"doc, is this normal?"
"Uuumm, yes totally normal. First I tickle with the feather, then a nice massage with my tongue. Do you wanna get better, or not?"
Yikes!

Don’t like 🦶?
2. Joint Mobility Exercises
I can’t do this and I also struggle to stand up with both feet flat. I’ve been trying to find out what it is that I have and someone said it’s this (Planter Fasciitis) but seems other people with this are able to do these exercises🥲
Thanks for the comment and sorry to hear. You may have to do them with shoes and with arch support/orthotics. Please see a professional to diagnoses and help you with the issue.
