To think at one time (80+ years ago) the now-unappealing homes we see were architectural marvels when they were built. This city was a multi-cultural hotbed of Connecticut that was so important to the country that we were on the map as a potential target by the enemies during WWII.
There is a difference in thought, and attitude, when you live literally on top of each other vs yards away from each other. The Heart of Waterbury "well at least our hearts", were always Stacked..from BUCK's Hill to damn Walnut Street and beyond. 🙁😦
I remember the Saturday and Sunday afternoons on the green with my mother when I was a kid. I've only been gone since 02 and it seems like a lot changed.
