  • People should not try and strive for higher and higher box jumps. Instead they should strive for higher and higher depth jumps DONE SAFELY. It will take more work, will have to be more mindful of volume and need to have the perquisite tendon capacity. But the body will never become disproportionate in what it can produce vs. what it can redirect. When the body can produce significant more amounts of force then it can redirect, this is where non contact injuries typically occur.

    Yeah I've often seen guys do 17" jumps to a 16" box. Why not jump to a 10" lol
