- "The highest performance, best handling, fat tire, drop-bar bike on the planet." - Allied Cycle Works
"The ABLE is a highly capable performance off-road machine that tilts more towards the “mountain skinny” side of the gravel segment. It can handle a lot of tire but still has an extremely short rear end, the same in fact as the ALLROAD at 420mm. This is achieved by the most striking feature on the bike, the elevated drive side chainstay. The front end is geared more towards offroad riding so it gives up a little in terms of handling on the pavement, but feels incredibly stable at speed on the dirt. We have been ripping around here in Arkansas on everything from pavement to single track and I can tell you that every ride has us finishing with a huge smile - it's just so fun to ride."

Threaded bottom bracket... Jeesus. Good gods. Thank You guys, great choice. No more pressfit.
No s***, I hate pressfit.
This is a new company to watch. Nice bikes! 👍🏻
So they elevated the chainstay to get better tire clearance and then ended up with average gravel bike clearance?
did I hear 1.8 in the rear for 650b... that is nothing special..
I’m guessing the low tire clearance in the rear is due to the ultra short chainstay length...420mm. If you look at those pics, those tires are about as close to the seat tube as possible...if they had allowed a 430mm chainstay like (say) the 2019 warbird, it would likely accommodate substantially larger tires. Personally, I would prefer the longer chainstay with extra tire clearance, but I’m not exactly a rider who will be dropping $7-10k on a bike anytime soon. Still, very beautiful bike...5/5 stars, would ride!
You for got about mud..
My 3T Exploro is running 650x 2.1 in the back and 2.25 in the front with 415 chain stays...
Interesting bike.
I can see myself riding that in the hallway of the retirement home.
JoM needs to review this bike on the flesh...
only thing it needs are triple pack mounts on fork
GC: Is this frame carbon belt drive compatible? Also, steel or aluminum? Carbon fork?...Suspension corrected?
Carbon frame, not sure about belt drive. Don't know about suspension either, sorry. Maybe drop them an email?
An interesting question since elevated chainstay eliminates need for seatstay cutting!
You liked the allied able or echo for a gravel bike ?
I prefer the Echo, only because I like the flexibility of a 2x drivetrain. The Able is 1x only.
A very handsome bike, despite the slightly silly-looking chainstays (while the seatstays are classy - beautiful and thin).
The most beautiful chainstays I've seen in a bike are:
- Norco Search (XR) Carbon's chain- & seat stays
- Salsa WarBird 2019's drive-side chainstay & overall chainstay - seatstay junction
- Vielo V+1's rear triangle
- Ghost xxx Road Rage -series chainstay-seatstay junction
you can’t do a 2x?? if not there goes me being able to use it as a road bike
Correct. However, Allied offers the Echo, it supports 2x, I have reviewed that bike here on the channel.
I won the able in that strava challenge doh! I really hate all these 1x only bikes
Nice bike..Great carbon tech going on here...Most large bike companies just have Giant make their carbon frames overseas..
Now if we can just get sram to produce their components here in the states
It's more like monster cross or smg...
We did all this with mountain bikes in the early 90.
