@@TheCutiePatrol My trains are much quicker mate. Speaking of which, I'm off to sign on shift shortly with 2000t of Biomass to haul. See you in a few years then. JG. 😁
From here, it passes through the gates on the right and into Dock Gate 4. I used to work at the end of Dock 4 at the Southampton Grain Terminal and we always had to get a move on at knocking-off time as this train crossed the dock road and, if we weren’t quick, we’d have to wait for it to cross.
Suprise Suprise!! Cyclists and pedestrian being impatient. At least the 7.5t driver waited. But then again he's the only one that's at the crossing identifiable.
The gen! There's e-mail groups where the information about what freights/specials are running gets passed around. This train runs Mon-Fri, so turn up at around 2pm and you should see it!
Would be nice! There was a point in time where we'd get 67's cropping up on trains for a little bit, can only assume for crew training or familiarisation. Same happened with Class 60's, would crop up for a few weeks and then disappear. Best I ever saw was the 3 Royal 67's on an oil train from Fawley, all working in multiple.
I beleive it's now currently around 775m (2,500ft), though that maximum will depend on the route the train is to be run on, as there's no guarantee it'll fit into any loops along the way.
As a train driver it's fantastic to see peoples worlds come to a temporary halt, for the passage of a train.... especially a long one! 😁
I certainly don't complain when I'm held up at a level crossing!
bro, you commented 2 years before this comment, that you posted a year ago, they're above and below each other on my screen lol.
@@TheCutiePatrolAnd!! 3 years it says on mine. So, I like to keep it regular Haha. JG.
@@railfreightdrivergallagherGBRf well you've now spent twice as long waiting for that train to leave than the people who had to originally wait 😂

Bet that knackered Mr TNT drivers delivery schedule up for the day 😄
Quite annoying, that he didn’t turn his engine off while waiting 😠

Definitely not what you want at home time!
@@SWT442 Nope! We were on the blocks and poised to go as 4pm rolled around!
@@SWT442 Nope, especially if you’d spent all day up to your armpits in dust, bird shite and spilled grain and just wanted to get home for a shower!
Can't argue with that! I know when I've had a day rolling around in filth, I'm getting home come hell or high water!
wow. to me that is so rare. well captured
This great as its rare with Skips on this working in this area as normally its a Shed hauling these blue logs . Great catch buddy
Thanks mate! Yes, was glad I got them as it was a change to the norm! Unfortunately, I never managed to catch the rare occasion a 60 would be used.
@@SWT442 that would even better seeing a 60 on this working. Would be very impressive
Nice to see at least six cyclists ignoring the red lights and sirens and cross the line not knowing if another train is coming.
theyre sacred, cant say a word against them.
Another train? There is one(1) track and at least a couple of minutes between trains in the same direction - where do you expect it should come from?
They do seem to be treated like it@@patrickmalone1902
Awesome Railfan video Railfan from GB 👍👍👍👍👍🚂

Great here and awesome through Eastleigh when it bolts through at speed
That woman is so angry 😂
I can only assume to collect the token, as there was no-one on the other side.
Wow! Certainly was a long train!
SDJR7F88 they can get even longer than that!
0:23 this is sooo not her day...
Excellent clip. Well filmed :-)
Those 2 diesel locomotives sounds a bit like the EMD/GMD DF Class diesel locos in NZ.
Thats one big Motherlode of a freight train 👍
When I worked down Dock Gate 4 it was full of cars, usually Jags.
What, four cyclists stopped for a red light!!
5 u not count
Nice one Andy maybe a other 67 will work the morris Southampton soon

@@SWT442 i get the colas ones sometimes it will be nice to see the dB ones tho
As usual. Cyclists demonstrating their lack of knowledge and understanding of stop lines and red flashing lights.
nice one, how come it stopped? usually it collects the token thing on the other side
Interesting! What's the maximum, legal, allowable length of a freight trainset in Great Britain?
I beleive it's now currently around 775m (2,500ft), though that maximum will depend on the route the train is to be run on, as there's no guarantee it'll fit into any loops along the way.
It was only short one then, obviously didn't make enough cars the day before!
No token on that line.Stopped to collect radio from shunter.
Mr Thomas Nationwide Transport Trainspotting...
i want my four seconds back
how do u know wen and were mate?
The "where" is Canute Road, by the old docks in Southampton.
If that was in the USA going at that speed you would have been there all day
Nice catch sham about that stupid women walking right in the way of the video
Cheers mate! Yeah, that was a bit annoying. But I've had worse from other enthusiasts!
I was going to say thats the bmw train from oxford i see it most days when it leaves oxford
I once knew of someone who tried their luck and sat in a mini on that train to then destination 😂 got arrested at the end of the line
