VIDEO UPDATE 1-22: After this video was released, that same fuse ended up blowing again. Upon further investigation, we discovered, by tracing the wires back, there was a bare wire going to the seat safety switch that was occasionally grounding out and blowing the fuse. However, we think the video can still help people, because any one of these problems could be causing the issue.

Found this video that progressed directly to my problem. I had replaced the switch and solenoid thinking they'd gone bad. After testing as covered here, I checked the fuses and sure enough, the timer relay fuse was blown. even used your suggestion for borrowing the DC outlet fuse to fix it. spent two years turning it off by hand at the solenoid armature. Could have saved money and time by being more attentive to these videos. Thanks much.

Hopefully that took care of your problem. But as we later pinned in the comments, we later found the cause of our blown fuse was in fact the wire to the safety seat switch grounding out which is on that same circuit.

@@AlleghenyHomestead yes I saw your follow up comment. A friend had bypassed that safety switch years ago so I guess we’ll see if it blows again. Tractor is a 2008 so fuse May have just gone on its own. Thanks again

Thanks for the video! I have a Mahindra and it's doing the same thing. The fuse will be my next check point.
Great presentation on the video. You spoke plain, clear and at a pace for easy listing. And actually, the microphone of the recording device was perfectly distanced for you. Kudos to the operator. Some of the videos I've watched were terrible for all the reasons I mentioned.
GREAT VIDEO, just subscribed to your Channel.
And yes, your video was helpful (will check my seat Safety Switch (ha ha))

Good thing you know about diesel engines they are expensive to work on

That drain is probably a breather for air to move in and out behind the spring.
Also, a timer relay is used to provide power to grid heater or glow plug circuit

Hi Steve! Thanks for watching! Did you check your fuses? We showed how we did that in the video at about 6:11. Let us know if that helps!

Hello did you fix your issue and did you check out the timer relay, as it appears to be the problem, as it controls the shut off solenoid and the cold start glow plugs? I am battling a similar issue on a Kubota B1550 and my testing led me to the relay. It is a very expensive part to repalce. I would like to hear what you had to do to fix it and is your after market solenoid still working. Thanks John

@@johnmccarthy4544 Hi John, thanks for stopping by! We pinned an update to the top of the comments. As for the timer relay, ours still works, so we cannot comment on that. The after market solenoid is still working just fine. We also kept the original as a spare.

@@johnmccarthy4544 Hi John, Have you found a solution / video / cheap replacement for the timer relay?

@@mjw7124 Hello Mike I apologise for not getting back to you sooner. I managed to fix the Kubota B155O and get it starting. The principle issues were caused by a lack of compression and I had to fit a new Head Gasket here. The other issue which needed fixing was that even though the Kubota glow plugs all read 1 ohm resistance when in place on the engine and seemed ok. However when the cylinder head was off the tractor, I removed them and tested them on the bench and they did not glow very well at all. I replaced them with after market NGK glow plugs and they made a huge difference. The third issue was the battery which was Ok, but only produced 500CCA and on cold sub zero temperatures, which we have here over December, January and February and after cycling the glow plugs 3 or 4 times there was not enough power in this tiny battery to turn the engine over fast enough to start it. I coupled up a jump pack to the battery and this made the difference. I hope that helps and I appreciate you getting back to me.😀John

Given the information, I'm not really sure what's going on. Ours doesn't have the yellow button in your video. I'm not really sure what that is. I'd love to try to help if you could provide more information.

@@AlleghenyHomestead The engine works fine at low revolutions, but when it hits higher revolutions then it starts jumping around unevenly. I've swapped out fuel filters, but the same problem continues. Where could the problem be? Fuel nozzles?

I, too, would have tried the fuel filters. Outside of that, not sure what else it would be. Hopefully someone else will see your comment who knows more about the issue and will be able to assist you. Sorry we don't have more help to offer! Hope you get it figured out soon.
