We are just observers in this game. The design brief was met . They chose The Fords for a reason. They wanted change and they got it!!! Step outside your box and do what you want I say. It lightens the soul. Love.
I love the floors, sorry to say that’s all I like. What’s with the black painted stairs, did they drop a tin of white paint down them just before the couple walked in? I would be devastated if that were my house. $62,000, on the refurbishment, hard to believe it was more than $6,200. This is just my personal opinion.
I love how the house looks, but it should have been in a newer house. The inside does not match the outside. My heart cringed when those bricks were painted.
I love watching your videos because of what your imagination and your talent brings to your project thank you Leanne I hope that you just keep showing your talent along with your brother helping you to accomplish what you envision. I live in a foreign country so UA-cam is the only way that I can see you. continue your unique creations. thank you❤
Leanne and Steve are just fab.... I really wish my other half had the patience and calm approach that Steve has to ideas and change, even when under pressure... I recall the "No", the when I said about laying cobbles in our drive... so I youtubed, and did it myself! My neighbours love them, and want to hire me! 😜🤣
Love the white walls and white brick, but the kitchen feels too sterile with the concrete counters. That all white look would have been fantastic with more dramatic furnishings and art. It just looks lifeless as it is.
I am Blown Away! What they did is Stunning! It is only the second video I have seen of their work, and they, instantly, have become my Favorite Designers! I want to re watch this over and over again, it's sooo Beautiful!
It’s hard finding nice things to say about this house. I guess I can say the floors look nice? But that’s about it. I hate that stark white kitchen, with the painted brick and ugly concrete table. And have fun dusting that ridiculous light fixture. I’ll take the “before” house any day.
I agree it is too white for me. I would like to see more creams and chocolates. Not just bright white and black. The kitchen should have black veined soapstone countertops or even Calcutta Gold Marble. That would look so much classier that that steel countertop.
Why would someone buy a house of this era and style and then destroy all of its character? Buy a split level and modernize it. This WAS beautiful before.
The house maybe did need a refresh, I'll give you that. But I think, in a house with beautiful, original details, in great condition, you have to use your brain, and save that. I can totally understand, why you chose NOT to focus to much on that amazing staircase - that you managed to totally ruin, along with lots of the other great features. You can absolutely modernize these houses respectfully - This was not it 🤢🤢🤢
The house has been destroyed. That couple should have just bought a new home, a modern home, not ruin a gorgeous Victorian…….an old Victorian…..known for old architecture……architecture that has now been hidden and/or disfigured. SMH.
This is hilarious. My husband and I work together and it’s the same rhetoric. I have to gently give him my great ideas and he has the same reaction. More work for him. Lol. We do store signs.
Leanne and her co-conspirator, Steve, again do their magic! Their “look” isn’t admittedly for everyone, but if it speaks to you…no one does it better! And her hair cut is to die for!
Love it it looks absolutely awesome love everything that she did and what she chose to put in the lights the cement table and countertops fabulous as always
The house was too dark and lugubrious to begin with, with too many different tones going on. What the Fords did was a huge improvement. Painting the house white kept the architecture and integrity intact but freshened it up and made it more livable. People having a seizure about the changes they made haven't seen how many houses in Europe have had this done to them all the time. It's not that shocking and I think a huge improvement. Who the hell wants to live in dusty old "grandma's house"? Not me. So glad they did away with that vibe. And what's most important is the couple loves it.
They didn't preserve the wood, they damaged it. Also, if you don't want to live in a "dusty old house", then don't buy the house. There are many people who would lovingly restore the house without damaging the wood, while appropriately updating the house. This was just a black and white mess.
Well it probably the taste of the clients but its not mine at all!! I feel like modern style does take all the traditional feeling the history behind those walls,ts too european also which is rare in a U.S program! I still like the kitchen its really way better than what it use to look before reno verry bright and welcoming but that look is a bit old fashion here in europe the all whity glassy vibe is not really contemporary but again its may be is in usa.
I guess I don't like white as much as I thought I did. There's some cool details but the covered couch looks tacky, the design on the stairs is too weird for me, and it's just too white. It loses the detail of the building. Maybe in person it still shows better. Anyone can paint everything white, though.
Love this, what a fabulous and quirky space it is now. But just a comment that I'm surprised he was sanding the floor without wearing a mask! That's bad for the lungs to breath in the dust from the floor coating and wood too. For his health, and also to set a good example for anyone watching, a mask should be worn when any type of dust will be encountered/ created.
Always think im the only one who sometimes doesnt really follow their style. One time they made a black pool. Would have had nightmares if that was my house but still homeowners were in love😏
Leann jus washes away all the character out of homes she goes overboard with with paint im not a hater jus lighten your hands a bit an add different metals ,textures & color the kitchen looks like an operating room
Too much white. White wall then white sofa? Naaah Could have use cream color, beige or light grey. It look like furniture are hidden. I love the black ceiling though
I mostly like it--except for painting the beautiful brick work. That was a crime, with the striped floors that brick work would have really shined. A nice industrial warehouse look with natural brick would have been perfect.
Victorian? It's not spooky or ooky but it's certainly kooky and if the intent was to keep the Addams Family from reclaiming it that sure worked. Dun dun dun dun .... dun dun
I feel they wrecked that beautiful old house . They should have bought a new house . Now it looks like all the cookie cutter houses that are built today . ☹️
no way this was 60k! i hate painted brick personally, especially the one they reinstalled but the floors r awesome and so is all the concrete. the light fixture, which is awesome is way too high, he couldnt even see it. not leaving even a sliver of original colored brick in the kitchen and that white range is just cheap looking. u took a house with a personality and soul and turned it into a generic, boring, white-gray "modern" imitation.
Floors are beautiful, but some of the brickwork left unpainted, would have added more interest/ character to the space, just my opinion, if the homeowners love it, then great!
Should have at least left the arch brick in the kitchen natural. Now it just blends into the blah. The staircase is awful. So glad she didn’t paint those floors!
I hate when people buy old Victorian homes just to destroy them. If your style is modern, buy a modern house. Destroying beautiful architecture is sad to see.
Ok push pause when they enter the house! What happened to the stairway?? That paint job is not street art...Basquiat and Haring are rolling over in their graves laughing.
Hmm… normally I love all the Ford make overs , but this feels a bit cold and looks like an old paintet fabric space from a poor Artist or so. That could have eben done better.
Too much white for me :[] I wish they could have done something that will contradt with the white. But oh well if the home owners are happy then *shrugs*
Sorry I know you love white but it’s too bland for me an old Victorian should have Color. Dark Color. The white is so faded like you want to fade just like the clothes you wear. Modern is ,or colourful than that
white white white. So horrible. You took away the soul of the house. You say you wanted it to look clean but you must have ment sterile. Please don't fix any more old houses.
honestly i like the original house with that antique vibe
We are just observers in this game. The design brief was met . They chose The Fords for a reason. They wanted change and they got it!!! Step outside your box and do what you want I say. It lightens the soul.
Love.
Are the Ford's husband and wife or brother and sister or both? lol Just kidding. So?
@@karendarel6281 you did a mean joke.. good job
These people need to be in a new house. They didn't value the architecture of this house. 😕
The spilled paint look was the turd on top for me. I can appreciate art, but there's art and then there's pretending something is art.
I thought someone got drunk after painting the ceiling black and fell down the stairs with a bucket of white paint. IMO that is NOT art.
I believe the goal was to live in an art gallery. That black ceiling though! Nicer than I thought. Very dramatic.
Another fab Reno from this Uber talented brother and sister duo!
I love how the house looks, but it should have been in a newer house. The inside does not match the outside. My heart cringed when those bricks were painted.

i LOVE THIS SISTER BROTHER SHOW , THEY DO GREAT WORK !!!
Oh! They are sister and brother!
@@terrybear5398 Yes sister and brother

I love them too, wish they were still on the network
LOVE this old row house-GORGEOUS exterior! I admire how close the two of you seem...envious!
The house no longer has character, its just an empty canvas, but glad the owners like it.
No kidding, the history is all gone
My thoughts exactly. They just destroyed everything
Really really beautiful great job
Fords are the best!
I don't like this one. That painted brick broke my heart! I feel like the only thing they restored was the living room floors.
It seems everything this designer does is black and white.
Very pretty, just not my taste, which is fine because it's not my house.
Poor Steve…🤣 Well done…house looks gr8! Love the blk roof…wow!!
Beautiful!
I'm relieved to see the comments. This was a fail to me. The house has no soul.
It’s hard finding nice things to say about this house. I guess I can say the floors look nice? But that’s about it. I hate that stark white kitchen, with the painted brick and ugly concrete table. And have fun dusting that ridiculous light fixture. I’ll take the “before” house any day.
Very ugly design.
Same. I liked the black ceiling, but not the "spilled paint" look on the stairs. That one hurt.
Absolutely amazing. Love it. 🥰
Gorgeous! I love how fresh this looks with the bright art and furniture against the backdrop of white. And the black ceiling is ah-MAZE-ing 😳
If you steam wallpaper, it comes off easy
It’s gorgeous very creative
I agree it is too white for me. I would like to see more creams and chocolates. Not just bright white and black. The kitchen should have black veined soapstone countertops or even Calcutta Gold Marble. That would look so much classier that that steel countertop.
Give me the before kitchen any day! It was beautiful.
Way too much white everywhere. No character at all.
All her Renos have a red brick wall painted white. And everything else painted in white as well! 😂
I wish you had your TV program on weekly still. Love it.
Oh no! They totally ruined the house!
They pained the brick white and there were gonna pain the hardwood floors. Too many things ruined to list 😢
Why would someone buy a house of this era and style and then destroy all of its character? Buy a split level and modernize it. This WAS beautiful before.
Very nice! Not for everyone, but then Leanne is completely aware of that.
I love it. Looks crisp and airy.
Love, love, love! ❤️

I agree… it’s definitely NOT Leanne’s stile, she does amazing modern stuff and renovating old architecture is not her thing.
The house has been destroyed. That couple should have just bought a new home, a modern home, not ruin a gorgeous Victorian…….an old Victorian…..known for old architecture……architecture that has now been hidden and/or disfigured. SMH.
This beautiful house was destroyed!
@@massabielle2821 I agree it's so heartbreaking that beautiful house its devastating.
They removed all of the character from the house -- just threw white paint everywhere. This is a fail.
This is hilarious. My husband and I work together and it’s the same rhetoric. I have to gently give him my great ideas and he has the same reaction. More work for him. Lol. We do store signs.
I am not sure about this one at all.
Leanne and her co-conspirator, Steve, again do their magic! Their “look” isn’t admittedly for everyone, but if it speaks to you…no one does it better! And her hair cut is to die for!
Outstanding ! love what they have done !Where could I get art like that ? so lovely ! 😍
Love it it looks absolutely awesome love everything that she did and what she chose to put in the lights the cement table and countertops fabulous as always
I liked the old vibe too. But I'm older than they are so there you go.
Ease up on the white paint
So they hate history charm vintage and historical got it.
why would you paint the bricks?! why!!
This is a crime scene.
I love everything you did, especially the black ceiling! I hope good use was made of the kitchen's original terracotta floor tiles.
The house was too dark and lugubrious to begin with, with too many different tones going on. What the Fords did was a huge improvement. Actually quite like their simplicitic design , just that with not all white and a little bit extra storage space would be my liking.
I have watched several homes renovated by these two. I absolutely hate their work!!!!
Omg. No no no. Give me the kitchen cabinets you took out. All molding details are gone. All charm lost
Now the interior looks like a bright white box. The historic character was not honored, but apparently this is what the owners wanted.
Well it probably the taste of the clients but its not mine at all!! the dinning room light for me was awful and they could've tone down the white in the kitchen and i hate glossy cabinets...
Welllll… young n stylish people do like that modern glossy cabinets!!
ok i re-watch it again so the dinning light is not bad .. still don't like the glossy kitchen.. other than that not bad..
They can come do my home anytime. I Love the uniquely creative and refreshing transformation!

What is up with the stairs? It looks like they spilled paint on them. Not a fan of that. And there's too much white.
How about using a wallpaper steamer? So much easier and quicker.
Not always an option due the the moisture.
Oh hel no…it bubbles up the paper on drywall. Wait…did it have drywall?
If you don’t like the Victorian era style then DON’T buy one of these beautiful houses!!! To tear them apart and modernize them is criminal!
Stripped down it's original beauty to a lifeless design. Horendous. I will never understand people buying old homes just to ruin everything.
Why buy a Victorian then?
IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
Painted bricks?
They could have maintain the rustic vibe of the house..the all white wall was too much..

It was a very beautiful house before the renovation. What a shame for all the character that has been lost.
I prefer the old home honestly

Fantastic job again Ford's! Ignore the rude, mean comments. (Too many "Karens" in the USA)
We’ll design is very objective and not everyone gonna love it.
I wonder, are they married to each other?
I think I found out they are brother and sister.
Man I wish she would do my barn I’m making my house lol
