Never heard of that and that’s crazy. I spilled a drink and felt terrible I paid for one out of my pocket and left at door.
Mike from mass Dudley just heard the comment on this Dasher issue. I’m a pull the hair and that too is the first time I’ve heard of it. I think anybody had the ball to pull something like that like you say it’s a damn shame because it ones are for everybody and everybody starts to get a little nervous and we got enough issues out there. We don’t need nothing extra, thanks for that information and I will keep up with you so I can still keep seeing what’s going on. I’ve been around for about a year now over a year and I’ve been OK but it’s too bad that we have some jokes like this on the healthier, but it’s good they’re gonna be gone so we’ll get rid of them but all right thanks for all the info and have a great day day.
I have that happen to me 4 to 5 times a week. I get to these restaurants, and they tell me the order has been picked up. It's much worse on UberEats.
This is happening in my market. Most places make us confirm the order before we leave the restaurant now. Long Island NY.
There are hourly drivers in the Leeds, Alabama zone who are gaming the system by sitting in the restaurant and then going and sitting in their cars for 5-10 minutes at a time. This way they are earning more an hour by extending the time on their deliveries. It infuriates me!
I have been dashing about two months part time in Maryland and I wasn’t understanding why I kept going to pick up food and they tell me that another dasher showed them the order and took it but how are they confirming orders and picking them up with screen shots most workers ask me to verify it in front of them so I am confused.
I know in chipotle and some places you can just grab an order if it’s been sitting there and walk out and you don’t even have to be a dasher
This is not new. Driver has been doing that. But not just drivers, customers do this as well.
Been DD for 4 yrs.yes this just happened to me 3days ago. I always show my phone to merchants on pick up
Yes they do it here in Atlanta. But here they give us a option that the order has been picked up already but it waste us dashes time
This is happening in my area. It angers me.
They do this on uber app with the walmart pick ups as well
This crap has being happing since I started working with DoorDash. It's sickening to be honest.

Who you really hurting are the drivers that show up to get the food after you stole the food. Now we have to waste our time and effort for little to no money to compensate the order that was stolen from us. Anybody who does this should be fired or/deactivatedfor being a thief. I would even go as far as say prosecute them. It is stealing.
Never done this, but especially with dd at macdonalds it either happens a lot, or macdonalds screwed the order up. Coin toss honestly, though I’d lean towards macdonalds screwing up.
Also know people who take other orders, though again only really seen that at Taco Bell and MDs.
I will say in all honesty, not that I did it, but twice I was ever so slightly tempted when picking up a $70-$80 plus order for $3 or $4 dollars, that required a bit of a drive.
I wouldn’t do it mind you, I’m an ethical person, just when I get several base pay and no tip orders where I’m making slightly above gas in a row…. That little gremlin whispers something about restoring the balance
