    Ah, yes. The Jungle val. Made my tanks look like each other so I had to remove them completely from some. I do the same with the trimming, and also the removal of whole plant that strayed from the desired areas.

    What kind of magnetic algae scraper do you use? I use different sizes for my 15g and 55g, but the 55g is soooooo strong its hard to move and it shakes the tank. I'm trying to control my jungle vallisneria to the right side of the tank

      I have a top fin algae scrapper all they had at petsmart when I got it its alright nothing I'd recommend tho, it works ok for the easy to get off stuff I use a razor blade for the hard stuff, controlling any kind of Val is difficult but can be done if you keep up on it.

      @TrippleD421 thank you...I just posted a video on my 55g and talked about your channel (only good stuff)...about your red crypts in your 20g long. The video is titled UV STERILIZER with fertilizers? ....or something like that. 👍 Yours is a channel I can learn a lot from. I recently lost 8 of my 10 praecox rainbows so that's one reason I put mu UV sterilizer back in. Glad I found your channel

    I really like the corkscrew val. In my tank it stayed much smaller and more manageable. At first it didn't spread out like I wanted until I learned that giving val a haircut on top triggers it to spread like mad lol. So if you don't want it to be spread with a million runners everywhere I suggest pulling it from the roots and not chopping the tops. 😅

    You experience any melting of the plants when you trim them?

    • @TrippleD421
      @TrippleD421  8 місяців тому +1

      No not the Val the val in those 2 tanks has been growing and getting trimmed like that for probably about 3 years.
