26:46 I'm afraid I'm in the same situation as Candidate 2, as my relevant professional experience overlaps with the final years of my PhD. However, I couldn't find in the Notice of Competition any description about invalidating professional experience when it overlaps with the PhD period. Do you know where I can find this rule?
Hello! it's never clearly explained in the notice, Annex I - Point 2. Qualifications, experience, supporting documents is the official info available and they leave it for interpretation on that PhD overlap. In such cases, we prefer to do the most restrictive interpretation. As extra portion of uncertanty 😖- EPSO web declares "It’s the responsibility of the Selection Board appointed for the competition to interpret the eligibility requirements and to evaluate the information you submit." eu-careers.europa.eu/en/help/faq/7433
Do the recruiters in the EU institutions use softwares to filter according to keywords in CVs? Is it advisable to use synonyms or only the exact words used in the notice?
If anything, the search function when they have to navigate through CAST candidates (literally hundreds of CVs there) . For EPSO competitions, no search function, each application is assessed following the criteria of the notice. That's why we recommend to follow its indications, ideas and task/key words described in it to explain your experience.
Hi! Thank you for the webinar!!! 😊 I would need a clarification on the ASJC references to include in the talent screener. Scientific journals have often more than one ASJC code. Per each publication, are applicants requested to enter all the ASJC codes of the Journal or only the pertinent ones? Per each publication, is it allowed to enter more than one ASJC code?
Thanks for the information. I wanted to ask about the documents supporting the proffessional experience. I have the contracts from my previous empoyers but they do not state in detail the competencies or activities that I did there. It is now difficult to get those documents. Which exact information should they include? Thanks!
Hello! it's in the notice, Annex I - Point 2.3 regarding supporting documents. Then, from our experience, EPSO tend to be comprehensive in their documentation checking, trying to do an overall evaluation and check everything fits in the justification rather a purely detail document (never easy to have one). Look as complementary info, descriptions of the position/job vacancies, emails or any document that can reflect what you have done.
Hello! Great content. Thanks :) I just received this message from EPSO "Please note that you should not submit any supporting documents for the information in the Talent screener section of your application that relates to your publications (ANNEX III - SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS - EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, PUBLICATIONS - 1. Conditions common to all fields - point b)." I read ANNEX III and am a bit lost on how we're supposed to link the articles (or not) in this phase of linking documents. Do you know how we're supposed to do this part?
Many thanks! Following what you wrote , It seem EPSO confirms they don't need a copy of the scientific article peer reviewed as they can check with the references provided. If you want, send us a copy of the message to our email yasemoseuropeos@gmail.com to check if any detail is missing in the text above
Hi! Thanks for the webinar! I have a question regarding the elegibility criteria. I have enough working experience for the competition I would like to apply, however my publications do not fall in the ASJC code, due to the type of journals we normally publish. Does it mean I will not fulfill the criteria for eligibility?
Well notice says "Candidates will be required to provide references to those publications, which must include the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and/or ISBN/ISSN codes and must fall within one of ‘All Science Journal Classifications’ (ASJC) listed - in Section 2 of this Annex - as relevant to the field chosen by the candidate." - then when you mention the publications do not fall in ASJC code, if it's because they didn't get the code assign but still the topic matches those listed in Annex III , you will have to explain in the talent and we think it gives you a chance. By the way, we assume the articles are peer-review (that is a must). In parallel , we would suggest to contact EPSO to check formally with them. Courage!!
@@yasemoseuropeos Thanks for the response. Sure the articles are peer reviewed, but they fall in Neuroscience, ASJC 2800. It is listed as papers for the category 10 Behavioral neuroscience, but I fit much more (and I am interested more) in number 4 Data Analysis, and there my papers will not fit with the ASJC list in the Anex
@@JuanSa-t4x indeed that is an issue. You can try to explain in the application but that will up to the board of the competition to accept it (no guarantees). 🍀🍀🍀
Hello! following the notice of competition , the answer is yes. Check final page of the file where it says "UK diplomas awarded in 2020 (until 31 December 2020) are accepted without an equivalence. UK diplomas awarded as from 1 January 2021 must be accompanied by an equivalence issued by a competent authority of an EU Member State."
Thanks for all the information!
You are welcome 🙂

Thank you! Yes, you can add more than one provided they are pertinent ASJC codes.
