I bought that Origine helmet in a pinch when i forgot mine at home while trailering my bike to a ride..I was plesently surprised with it and am pretty happy with my purchase.
For anyone considering the Vega, you should know it's literally impossible to wear glasses with that helmet. Im not saying it's difficult and you have to shimmy them in, I'm saying it's actually impossible
Is it the cheekpads(I mean when inserting the glasses)? Or the space for the back of the ears is very tight that your glasses wont have space behind your head?
@@omniumg1355 The cheekpads come very forward on your face so they sort of bend around your face. The tight spot is right on your temples, the space around the ears is actually fine. I ended up selling it and just buying the Shoei Glamster.

Thanks, great video
Bought a ByCity earlier this summer for trips to the coffee shop/slower rides. Comfy, light, huge vision port. Great with goggles. For a first time 2nd Helmet option it’s been great. Nice video as ever… UR; the benchmark.
Thanks for sharing!
does it run true to size? my head measure 56.5/57 cm the website recommends a size M, what's the safest choice? On the video it says that they run 2 shell size so I guess size S has the same shell size as the M correct? Thank you guys in advance!
Thank you so much for the video. But choosing among these helmets, I accidentally tried on Simpson and fell in love with his aggressive style and bought a Speed model
Question?
This is for the origine .
Does it have slotted ear channels for after market head set .
Thank you
Hi Mike, the Origine Vega has slots for the speakers, yes. Hope this helps - Iza
Origine lock in a small opening? Like for a hot day venting
They are beautiful, but I had to get a glamster
Nice compare contrast. This clip is Designer approved. ✅
Much appreciated!
You say they have the same safety rating but I can't find anywhere that says a Bullit meets 22.06 like the other two
The bullitt doesn’t meet ece 22.06. The video was released when the vega and bycity helemts were still ece 22.05 approved
Vega looks identical to the Torc T1 helmet. I wonder if it’s the same manufacturer??
Thx
...and also the Bogotto V135...
Yes it is the same helmet manufacturer as vega, origine, and torc helmets
Roadster 2 may have the best look. However, the Shoei Glamster still seems to be the king of retro full-face helmets in this style at a 4/5 SHARP rating.
Glamster has a different style.
To me (It's subjective) the Glamster doesn't look all that retro.
Then there's that NAME! I could never say that word out loud - utterly horrible, flesh-crawlingly naff 🤣
@@duncanjowett5575 It’s hilarious you mention this because I have one and I get compliments on it ALL the time, from bikers and pedestrians alike, but whenever I’m asked I just say “Shoei” because the name is so god damn embarrassing to say out loud. It is definitely the smallest shell helmet out there though, and it looks cool on every style of bike.
@@WILLGRAYY 🤣🤣🤣Love it! When I was a kid in the 70's there was an ice lolly that I loved but I just couldn't ask for one - it was called "Lolly Gobble Choc Bomb". Same kind of thing.
doesn't look that retro but having pinlock is essential when you ride year round
How waterproof is the visor on these helmets?
i have the roadster - the few times i've been caught in the rain with the visor, it's been a little problematic with the fogging, but not as much water leakage as you would expect. I actually prefer to ride in the rain with riding glasses instead of visor. it's not great at higher speeds or cold cold weather because of the lack of a chin curtain and aforementioned fogging. hope that convoluted reply helps!
also, i really love this helmet
Do you know if the Bell visors are UV protected? It doesn’t specify on their website.
Yes, I have 3 different shades for my bullet, I've contacted Bell and they are 99% UV blocking.
@@chrisreynolds3204 Thank you!
Can I use speakers inside any of them?
Good question
in the BELL yes
Is there any difference between the Torc T1 and the Original Vega?
And the 130R Mino ?
@@pedrosantospereira5543 ...and the Bogotto V135...
Do they have speaker pockets? any of them
Hi Ricardo, they do not have speaker pockets I'm afraid. - Iza
the BELL has speaker pockets
@@riotmode666 thanks. I ended up getting a Torc T1 which has speaker pockets although they are not deep enough for the speakers. I had to go a bit into the foam. No big deal though.
The Bullitt looks awesome but it's a shit helmet for how expensive it is. My buddy has had two of them and he now uses a Biltwell Gringo S and he says the Biltwell is way nicer. From having a Gringo and trying on a Bullitt, I agree.
That Origine is just a rebranded Torc T1 lol
They just use the Torc brand in the US and the Origine brand everywhere else. Many companies do that with branding. Nothing really unique or surprising about it.
Torc, origine and vega has the same manufacturers
@3:39 wow that’s some major orange peel in the paint on the roadster
The bell logo can be removed.
Wrong. BULLITT only passes ECE 05, not 06, and the difference is significant.
1:32 the visor looks infected
😆😅
No way!!!!
Why do you call them city helmets? Why can I not tour in any of those?
Cause they are noisy and don't have antifog pinlock
@@honkler481 ahhh...
Never had a pin lock in 20 years so I don't know what I'm missing 🤣
@@duncanjowett5575 perhaps you live in California or a similar warm place?
@@honkler481 😁😁😁😁
I wish mate - Scotland then Yorkshire
@@duncanjowett5575 then how do you deal with the fogging of the visor?
