- “Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers caught up with “Parasite” director Bong Joon-ho at the Governors Ball, where he opened up about his big night at the 2020 Oscars and how he planned to celebrate.
I don't remember the last time the audience was this excited by the best film Oscar win. Oscar well deserved.

Actually he can speak English very fluently. Yet I guess he is trying to express in his native language and to prepare for the overload due to the unexpected moments, which is the good decision😂 U could find him speaking English in youtube anyway.

well, it was pretty much expected at cannes.
This is what genuiness brings. He made movies because he enjoys making them, not because it wins awards or money or fame. Work hard at what you love and the fruits of your labor will more than reward you for a life time. People can see your passion when you are true to yourself. It really resonates.

I still can't get over Sharon Choi as not only is she a great interpreter. She seems to anticipate when Yoon's struggling with a question.
Fast to communicate the intention then provides an accurate translation on the fly. While doing so on the fly in a very relaxed down-to-earth manner.

The Hollywood Oscar show ratings went down another 20% this year. Good, most are immoral movies anyhow. They got rid of *Best Foreign Language Film* category at the Oscars to get in diversity films from all over the world so that any movie made in the world can win the Oscar for Best Picture in honor of diversity, and this was done this year by the Hollywood "one world government" liberal elite. The best picture Oscar can now be won by junior High school Muslim kids making an anti-Israel movie made the Gaza Strip. The Oscars mean nothing now. The Oscars can now be produced from South America or South Korea. The Oscars is longer an American event. Diversity will ruin any Nation.

Which movies and moviemakers become Oscar nominees. It's a really long and complicated undertaking that involves more than 8000 voting members.
It has nothing to do with being American or being inclusive as your so ignorantly misinformed.
In other words here only directors can nominate other directors, actors, screenwriters, editors, cinematographers and so forth.
To even be eligible for a nomination here. Let alone win the gold statuette. Which involves a strict procedure governed by specific guidelines.
All tied to the illustrious history of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences itself.
So this really is an award show of your peers. If you have a problem with that then get lost or direct your own film. I might actually vote for it if your lucky but probably not, cheers!! 🍾🍸
