I have the black Phantoms on my Huntsman V2 Analogue and they are really nice caps. But unlike the Blackwidow V4 my Huntsman doesn't have clear switch housings so the LEDs aren't very bright with the black caps. I was in the Razer Store London today and was thinking of buying the Blackwidow but ended up walking out with a Leviathan V2 Pro instead lol. I think the keyboard will have to wait a few weeks now as the wife will kill me if I spend more money 🤣
Just a heads up if you have the Blackwidow v4 pro or an older Blackwidow with the macro keys on the left side, the phantom keycap set does not include them. Same with the PBT upgrade kit. Something that should be included but wasn’t.
@@deckstor1 And the blackwidow with the 5 macro keys (many iterations of it) were released well before the PBT keys. Razer should have included them when the PBT caps were originally released.....its only 5 keys.
I personally own blackwidow v3 mini with phantom keycaps and i must say, for wireless keyboards this is must have upgrade. Mainly because you don’t need to set brightnes to higher levels to make it shine, wich saves a lot of battery.
@@TechBlock razer claims without lighting turned off it will last around 200 hours , with brightnes set to 30% i get around 45 hours with 2.4 ghz but you can go higher with bluetooth mode
I put this on my cooler master keyboard and im pretty impressed. the only con is that this isn't really a razer keyboard so the brightness of the RGB isn't as "bright" but it's still plenty. I actually like the aesthetic that it gives off, more of a defused smokey glow which imo matches gives it a more "phantom" look
been using these phantoms since they first came out, on my apex pro and now on my apex pro 2023 tkl wireless, they are cool and i love them, only con is that i use o rings and this kinda obstructs the light on the letters , only a little though, so no deal breaker
i got the black one today for my huntsman v3 pro, must say letters are also blurry and RGB is not as bright as stock double shot keycaps, they sound quite good though, sadly I have to return them cuz it miss the M key and they gave 2 ".>" instead lmao BTW, u cant see the letters with led off

Oh no no no no no. Not the phantom keycaps. It will give you an overall darker RGB! Strange thing to say the letters are darker than the stock and the sides, supposedly more brilliant because there are translucent sides, you end up with a darker keyboard altogether. What works is the gskill crystal crown if you want an overall brighter effect!

The blown out lettering is probably the nature of white colour reflecting light way more than black
No it is not! I have hyper x pudding pbt keycaps installed on my blackwidow v4 pro and the letters look great and there is no light distortion!

The keycap upgrade set was launched years before the bwv4 pro
