The best video on Fernandina/Amelia ever made! Thanks!
wow. thank you so much!
I loved this place i have a condo here it’s really underrated for its Beauty
Great Video! Loved how you included information for wheelchair access thankyou
thank you! Amelia Island does a good job with making parks and playgrounds wheelchair accessible too.
We will be coming down from Dublin, GA next weekend. Our base of operations for the long weekend will be on St Simons Island, GA....So me and my hubby plan to come down and do some shark teeth hunting and check out Ft Clinch and downtown Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach area...Just a day trip to this area then back up to St Simons Island/Jekyll Island for the duration of our trip...There is a shark tooth beach on Jekyll Island but I don't believe the teeth are as varied as this location, we will see. Very informative video for our first visit to the area. Thanks
very cool! Hope you have a great time here!
I just moved here and love it! Watching to still get info on where to explore :)
We were just here and probably won’t be back again. We stayed on Fernandina Beach and drove into town to eat
I'm going mid August, what didn't you like about it
@@Bdavis06516 the beach we liked best was at Fort Clinch. We paid $6 to get into the park.
We moved to Georgia 3 years ago from PA and so we have been exploring beaches within a 4 hour radius of where we live. It’s not very walkable….. we stayed at the Home 2 and drove to the beaches and then again to dinners. The beach side and historic part was decent. It was also very crowded.
Good vid. The music bed could be a little softer though.
Thanks for the tip
Which area tends to have the most shells?
It really depends on the day. Some days will have a lot of shells and then other days will have a lot of sand. But some of the best shells we have found were north of Main Beach up towards Ft Clinch. Early morning and low tide helps too.
Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach are absolute gems in Florida's First Coast. There are a plethora of family friendly places to visit. One place to avoid, however, is Alvin's Island on Sadler Road. They are hostile to U.S. military veterans. They openly support a draft-dodging convicted felon who refers to WWII veterans as "suckers" and "losers."
The business is a disgrace to decent, honor-bound heroes that gave the ultimate sacrifice to their country. There are plenty of other businesses on Amelia Island and in Fernandina Beach that show their respect for those who honorably served their country.
So sorry that happened to you. I would recommend Amelia Surf Co. or Driftwood Surf Shop. A lot of places on Amelia Island even offer military discounts, Victory Wholesale just over the bridge is one of them.
