Hey my friend I just want to let you know that I passed my exam, I just saw my license in the Florida Board Of Nursing, Uworld is the best, the glory for god, he was with me :)
Some questions on Uworld are SOOO HARDDDUHHHH!!! But their rationales are crazy good. It's pretty informative and amazing. It challenges you to think harder and analyze everything to a T.
Now that you've found UWORLD, it's a wrap. You're passing your next attempt! Just focus on the rationales, and keep reviewing. I failed my 1st attempt and passed on my second try with UWORLD.
nclexrn is very hard to pass especially for me that i am a foreign graduate (philippines). I failed the first try because i only self studied and i did not use kaplan or uworld. Right now I am using both kaplan self paced and uworld. hopefully these 2 will help me pass my 2nd try.
hi there, I took nclex three times and failed three times!! It's just one week the third time I failed and it feels like I am so worthless, hopeless and heartbroken. I also came from the Philippines and did graduate here in Nebraska for ADN. I graduated last May 2016. I just started to start over again on my review using virtual ATI. I did HURST, NCSBN, AND KAPLAN already. I wont give up until I pass it. I promise to myself to pass this test the 4th time. Congrats!!
I'm sorry to hear about the downfall, but indeed the only way to go is up. Although you may have already tried different resources and study material for your NCLEX, I do want to remind and share that the NCLEX is more than just the knowledge that you are fed in handouts. It is putting it all together to make the best decisions. It's more than just passing the exam, it's about being the best nurse through demonstrating the best and correct decisions when asked, diba? Break your questions down and answer with authority. I believe in your ability to pass because you much learning experience already. Continue to study well, rest best, and pray the most!
Thank you dear. I will do my best the 4th time and hope for the best so I can go back na for a visit. Im just waiting for this. This really holds my life a lot.
Kababayan, you inspired me to take the NCLEX this coming October 2017 and my question is what type of subscription do you avail in UWorld any suggestion? because it is quite expensive :) alam mo na gusto ko rin maging katulad mong maging USRN Thank you
I loooove UWorld I LOVE it's rationales!!! The NCLEX Mastery is cute but it has too many "knowledge based" questions and very few critical thinking questions. NCLEX Mastery app's questions are you either know it or you don't. I don't really like that. You learn new patho but I don't feel like knowledge based questions will be on boards. I hope to take mine next month.
Thank you for sharing your input! That's the word I've been looking for, knowledge-based. I didn't know how quite to describe it and it's true about what you said about NCLEX RN Mastery. I mean of course there will be times when you completely don't know about something on the NCLEX, but but most of the time you already have what you need in the question to figure out what's the best answer. Just use test-taking strategies to be able to figure it out and eliminate other answers.
Do you recommend u world if you feel weak with content? I'm entering in my last semester of my RN program and feel like I don't remember much in some subjects like OB/ Endocrine etc? is there something you recommend to better your content?
+Anita Tambat NCLEX RN Mastery for content if you're looking for a Q-Bank to reinforce content. Saunders is also good for nursing school and reinforcing content. UWorld is heavy on critical thinking questions. This is good for a month or so prior to your NCLEX-RN exam.
+Raul Diaz That's what my scores were like too. There is the possibility of passing. Continue to improve your critical thinking and patience through each question. Don't be so bummed down on the knowledge-based questions.
Thanks so much for answered me, I been really frustrate, I finished all the questions from Uworld already, I just doing like 150 a day before my exam next week.
+Raul Diaz Please do take your time as needed per question. Some questions you may already have a lot of confidence to answer faster than others but never skip the process of critical thinking.
Just wanted to asked? How many hours did you study to prepapre for nclex? Im using uworld but im scoring 40% im taking nclex next year. And im so scared esp with my scores in uworld
At first maybe 1-2 hours in the morning (I'm not very productive in reviewing in the morning) and then another 1-2 hours in the afternoon. It's normal to be a bit anxious, but don't let every day be night of terror. Practice and patience to learn and understand the content and questions you get wrong is your advantage, not disadvantage.
How did UWORLD help NCLEX taker? I'm currently using UWORLD...but I still don't get it. I understand that it has rationale..but with so many subjects...it's hard to grasp at times. Is it because of SATA questions and priority?
I'm planning to upload my quick final thoughts on UWorld by next week but UWorld is... - Gives you questions that help exercise your critical thinking - The interface is similar to the NCLEX (sequencing questions and hotspots) - Stamina with taking critical thinking questions Personally I recommend using UWorld comprehensively rather than choosing subjects. I find UWorld the place to practice your test taking skills as opposed to testing your pure knowledge. Like I wouldn't try to study cardio for the day and use UWorld. UWorld, the test of strategy and the training of stamina, the way I see it.
I'm taking next week, so I won't have time. LOL. It helps with critical thinking, huh? That is true. I finally got used to priority..who to see first. Yeah, I do comprehensive. I like the interface one...so yeah..that is true.
There you go! Mastering that priority will definitely give you an advantage. Prior to my exam I started going over my questions under the "Incorrect" filter.
Personally, Saunders gave me information overload. If you know what medical emergencies you should keep in mind, you can go over to review those specific disorders, diseases or conditions with Saunders. Like if you don't know much about an Myocardial infarction or pulmonary edema patho or problem, it'd be nice to know what's the significance.
New Jersey. I'm not too sure of anything regarding SSN because I was born in the States. The only time I gave them my SSN was in the application for licensure for applicants of foreign nursing programs.
Mike so just finished I had turned my timer off so I got a lot of priority and select all that apply they keep coming back but anyway I felt as if my last question was to simple and I'm sure it was 75 but a few before Those were priority questions I feel good but that last question got my head messed up
You ran out of time with 6 hours? Or the exam just stopped on you? The last question really does seem to mess you up in the head because that's probably the last impression of the exam that you'll carry with you. The only confidence left after leaving the exam is usually knowing that you had peace throughout the exam, that you were able to think and do your best. Those computer exams are tricky, but we aren't meant to really figure the computer out, but the question and answers. Hoping and praying for your success :)
Quite Mike no 1hr and change I shut off the timer like I did in uworld well the question number lol I was not expecting the computer to turn off but I feel a lot better about this exam I don't know why I'll just pray and mayb I'll just wait to Thursday to do that trick I tried it and I keep getting an error page I think it's to soon
I hope you feel better because you were at peace, that you just didn't convince yourself for a moment, but that you believed with faith. Whatever you learned through this struggle will definitely help you in other struggles of life. Until then, may peace be with you. Do let me know what the outcome of your exam is :)
+Gabby & Jenny Thank you for the sub! Lately since passing havent been posting nursing content as much. If anything there is the aspiring nurse playlistthat I have that you could go through.
UWorld is most appreciated because of it's challenge of critical thinking skills. By the time that you take your NCLEX, it's really just more on reinforcement. God bless on your review!
Hey my friend I just want to let you know that I passed my exam, I just saw my license in the Florida Board Of Nursing, Uworld is the best, the glory for god, he was with me :)
+Raul Diaz Amen! Praise the Lord! Happy for you man! God bless you on your nursing journey :)
Raul Diaz I
Some questions on Uworld are SOOO HARDDDUHHHH!!! But their rationales are crazy good. It's pretty informative and amazing. It challenges you to think harder and analyze everything to a T.
Yeah! I'm still trying to make sense of how it benefitted me for the actual exam. UWorld was very good.
Now that you've found UWORLD, it's a wrap. You're passing your next attempt! Just focus on the rationales, and keep reviewing. I failed my 1st attempt and passed on my second try with UWORLD.
how long did u study uworld?
Mary Ann Navares I studied for about 2 months.
1 week before your exam how many questions per day did u do?
Mary Ann Navares I did 75 questions per day. Pay close attention to the rationales of all questions, not just the incorrect ones.
Muna A. thanks ha
nclexrn is very hard to pass especially for me that i am a foreign graduate (philippines). I failed the first try because i only self studied and i did not use kaplan or uworld. Right now I am using both kaplan self paced and uworld. hopefully these 2 will help me pass my 2nd try.
Are you done with your uworld did u make it on a second time? I hope u passed it
+JL Villamayor I finished my Uworld long ago. I made it my third time. I used Uworld before I took my third.

U world is tough and after I score low in u world - I postponed my test.. did u had same experience ?
+Lola Zeki I only applied for my ATT after I felt comfortable with Uworld
Kababayan, you inspired me to take the NCLEX this coming October 2017 and my question is what type of subscription do you avail in UWorld any suggestion? because it is quite expensive :) alam mo na gusto ko rin maging katulad mong maging USRN
Thank you
+NrJovan I only subscribed for one month right before my exam. I was using Lippencott Q&A since before then.

get the hurst review for content they are summarize and particular on hurst on what subject you should only concentrate
hi i got a question about Uworld. My scores are around 57 to 60 :(. Is any possibility for me to pass the NCLEX with this numbers?
Hi Raul! What's your question?
+Raul Diaz That's what my scores were like too. There is the possibility of passing. Continue to improve your critical thinking and patience through each question. Don't be so bummed down on the knowledge-based questions.

Thanks I am trying the best I can :), one more question ? On the week before the exam, how many questions per day are good to do?

***** Great tip! I'll go over those. Saunder isn't really needed, huh?
