I've just updated my website with a playable Drider homebrew species for those who can't decide between playing a centaur or a Drow! Check it out by following the link here: homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/FxT1pJ_27
In a campaign I ran: I had a Drider who was the mayor of a town full of people who had escaped the Underdark. She was punished by Lolth for helping these people leave, and she just became a stronger leader as a result. So Lolth kinda screwed that one up lol
I would like to see a telchine. They’re a monster from Greek mythology. They look like a mix of a seal and dog, live in the sea, and are known for blacksmithing and black magic.
good lord that is and amazing peace and I can't wait to see more. A random sentimental part you getting back into drawing(though not even close to the same level) has helped better my relationship with my oldest son who was the one to show me your channel so thank you and hope this comment makes him feel awkward lol.
Thanks so much Beard Bear, and for your heart-melting comment! I'm so glad that my videos can be something fun to share with your son! I hope that both of you keep up the great work with your drawing!
I already know the drider really well, but still the drawing looks amazing, well depicted and shows a soul behind it. And as i always do, what i wanna see is BOGGLES!!!! Little sneaky and silly annoyances that could drive a party nuts.
I love how you made the spider legs grotesquely human like by giving them kneecaps and hair. This may already be on your list but Id love to see your take on Nagas!
Well spotted Simon! That's exactly what I was going for! I'm so looking forward to Nagas! Don't worry about suggesting it more than once. Every time you suggest something, you only push it further to the top of the priority list!
Well, that’s suitably horrific. I do love the face of the creature - a better take than the “elf/spider centaur, but vanilla flavoured” that most often gets depicted. Superb!
I agree: having your lower body and ONLY your lower body transformed isn't much of defigurement, escpecially for a culture that revers spider imagery. Here's an idea to amplify the body horror: give the humanoid body the segmented anatomy of a spider without its exo-skeleton. I just noticed: does the spider part in your image have an exo-skeleton? To me, it looks like its covered in skin, which increases the body horror factor.
Right? Like I wouldn't welcome having a spider for a butt, but it also wouldn't be the end of the world...I bet you'd spend a fortune on shoes though! I did actually go for thinly stretched skin over the top to kind of merge it with the drow half! Well spotted! I kind of imagine that the tough chitinous spidery parts would rub and itch under the skin, making them constantly a little uncomfortable!
I would love to see your take on the Geenies of D&D like the Dao, Djinn, Ifrit, Marid, Jann, Khayal and Qorash PS: In my world some Driders turn towards Miska the Wolf Spider where the tables are turned and they are now on the top of pecking order (or spinning order) also if it’s cool could we get a playable version on your website?
I love how intricate and detailed your campaign world is! I always look forward to your insightful comments and cool ideas! I can't wait to draw some genies too! They're really great creatures with a lot of story potential for players!
Aw the Drider the ultimate enemy of the monster from the fly! Also I like the eyes on the head it reminds me of the 5e Chitine artwork! Keep up the great work!👍 Ps also I was going to recommend you do the tojanida but you said you're kind of tired out by spiders and, well , they kind of look like spiders. So I recommend instead you do spellweavers they're pretty cool and have neat lore!🧙♂️❤
Haha! Thank you for the suggestion, even if I've done a lot of spidery things. If I get all of the spiders out of the way then I can rest! Besides, I might stop being afraid of them if I keep confronting my fears like this! Thanks so much for your comment.
I love this interpretation on the drider. Your drawing isn’t just half of an elf stapled to most of a spider. This really amplified the horror this person has gone through. I should really start working on my drider mini again! I would love to see a bone naga monster Monday if you don’t mind drawing ribs.
Hey! Thank you so much! I'm so glad that my ideas came through in the drawing! Let me know when you've finished your mini. I'd love to take a look. I can't wait to draw a bone naga for you! Fingers crossed that it comes up soon!
I think that doing a monster Monday on the Jackelope would be quite fun. I don’t believe they appear in D&D unless you count the unicorn rabbit. But I would quite like to see a video covering them as they are my favourite magical creature
Wow! So glad to have had you recommended to me by the algorithm! Your content is superb! I am planning to insert a drider into the end of an adventure my party is halfway through and this video gave me so much inspiration! Thank you!
Thanks so much! I'm so glad that you found me at such an opportune time for your campaign! Let me know if you've got any more creatures planned and I'll make sure to make a video about them.
I'm so glad you like it Ben! I'm going to try and send this month's prints tomorrow. I have a friend who's going to let me use their house for wifi for the day! So excited! I've been disconnected for so long!
Have you done a pseudodragon monster Monday? Either way, always love getting one of these fellas in pretty much any campaign I play in. I dunno why, maybe there's just something fascinating about being the owner of a ferocious teeny tiny dragon. Maybe its just personal preference over other familiars
I've not had the chance to draw a pseudodragon so far, Goblin! Maybe for Dragon December I'll get a chance this year! They're definitely the best familiars!
Another amazing drawing as always, I’ve been a fan of your work since the first ever Monster Monday but never left a suggestion before so here we go 😂 I’d love to see your interpretation of Gargoyles. Keep up the amazing work
Thanks so much for being a part of the community James! I can't wait to get the chance to draw a Gargoyle for you! They're such great creatures. Cheers for watching and for taking the time to comment too!
Heck yeah IronKnuckle! I wonder if they're in any of the Kobold Press books or not?! Either way, I'm sure we can either find some stats for this thing or I'll make some! I'm looking forward to making a video for this!
Well would you look at the coincidence, I've got bitten by some nasty arachnid while camping, still no spiderman powers just bunch of swelling and itching. Anywho always a good video when Josh dabbles in body horror, can't wait to see more of that
@@ArcaneForge Now that you mentioned a purple worm, I'd also like to show you another old aedition monster, 'Leveller (Bodendruker)' www.pandius.com/Mystara4ECreatureCompendium1.pdf Page 161 and yeah yeah, "Fourth Edition sucks ass" I know I know but c'mon, a carnivorous octopus-face giant elephant that eats creatures like bulettes & ESPECIALLY purple worms? Leprechaun's have some really great real-world mythology to explore so they're more than worthy of their own video...even if you do have some similarities with our Nilboggy friend. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

@@ArcaneForge I like that optimistic approach
Remember Nehwon behemoth I suggested in Phoenix episode? Yeah it seems to come from Lakhmar setting , so does that count as a D&D?
