The King of Fighters and the Dark Ages have both been the most popular times (94 to 98um) and proved that the "balance" can be achieved only when Kyo supports it in the 14th round of K (99 to 2001), Ash (2003 to XIII), and Shun.(The evidence is that, in fact, a dedicated video was produced from 14 to Iori Yagami before entering the battle against the boss.)
SNK's best guy, the main character that shows up in every saga, along with Iori, Mai, Athena (and the Psycho Soldiers, especially Kensou and Chin), Terry, the Sakazakis and so on. But Kyo's still the main man in the series, regardless if he's playable or a secret character (even if he does a small role in that part of the story, he plays a major part in the long run)
If anyone blame that kyo charge Orochinagi too long… It‘s just a selection to charge it or not so that you can do damage the time you want at your best pace（hard to success of course），K’s drive attack has a striking super which also can be charged for a while or just strike immediately

You can delay it at will, while charging it might avoid some attacks. Other versions get more powerful or unblockable the more you delay.
