We had a piggery back in the 90s here in Cebu City. And my grandfather will lechon a pig during fiestas and no pig matter goes to waste because my grandma will cook dinuguan out of the inards. I was a kid back then and enjoyed watching watching the adults preparing for the food.
Yes just like my late grandfather, he never wasted food even when we eat as kids before, he would spank anyone who leaves jusy only a single grain of rice on their plates. He's a strict disciplinarian and i guess it did us lots of help now in our lives as adults. We should never ever waste anything because these are God's blessings to us.😇😇😇😇😇
So proud of you dustin🤗 not every Filipinos would love to try eating those evry parts of lechon but you did it without hesitation.may godless you more and more and stay safe.
Hi Dustin, What a fun boodle fight you had there. Sure you are 1 of the locals now, I haven't known an American that eats all parts of a pig only you? 😆 Drinking tuba & smoking a native tobacco. You are the man. As I promised I just joined now as your gold subscriber. God bless you , stay safe & have more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Watching you from Toronto, 🇨🇦.
I saw you on atoms documentary and I was really amazed how you open your arms to the community and embraced them whole heartedly... I hope the people around you will also embrace the pureness of your heart and mission.
When you realized its normal for a filipino to speak in english even in the mountain. Well even a beggar you can speak with them in english thats how good filipnos when it comes to speak in english.
Hello Dustin, I really enjoyed watching your video. I love the way you interacted with the Filipino people. I teach Filipino martial arts here in the East Coast in United States. Since I teach the Filipino martial arts, I feel a connection to the Filipino culture. I’m just starting to learn Tagalog and I’m enjoying learning the language. You seem like a very nice guy and I have the greatest respect for you. I wish I was there hanging with everyone and enjoying good company and good food. Maraming salamat

boddle fight is a Filipino style of eating with friends and family to build more closeness to one another and this is part of the military to showcase more comradry to all soldiers and high ranking officials
I’ve never seen how lechon started. This is educational for me. I wish you put the ingredients and how to cook the gizzards, brain, blood and intestines. This is amazing on how the locals improvised with no cooking equipments. You’re a trooper, so willing to try every part of the pig. Thanks for showing us the beginning to end. When blood is completely drained out after killing, Muslims calls it Halal (healthier). Filipinos does it the same way and when cooked, you won’t see meat with dark texture. Here in the US, you see blood in every meat you cooked and more visible in white meat as in chicken.
I love how Rechies Mom told you its enough when you were Smoking the Filipino weed. She is watching out for you and already adopted you as a part of the family. I don’t know if you knew but that was LOVE bro.. Makes my eyes watery a little Cause you became family!! Enjoyed this a lot!! Neil from San Antonio, Texas
Dude seriously, you’re way more Cebuano than I am! You eat everything served with no hesitation!!! Btw, you inhaled that tobacco like a joint! I loved it!! Hahaha
Dustin thank you so much for supporting and sharing what you have to my fellow kababayan. I watch KMJS a few minutes ago and very happy to see my kababayans genuine joy. God bless.
Now you’ve been experienced how Filipinos treated our guests even other nationalities in our country. This is truely only in the Philippines Hospitality, and we keep on Smiling 😄
No one can compare how's happy the life in province compare in a city, and also you can experience everything that you never experience to other country....
So happy to see the locals that many around . I’m so impressed how you adopted simple life living in the province. I originally from Talisay Cebu not far from Toledo. God bless you and keep safe ... the folks are very friendly.
Good morning, every day I'm always waiting your new upload before go to bed watching your vlog. Have a great day Dustin, Raymond Retche, be blessed all of your good dids.
Ahhh love you Dustin, look Reeche how she cares about you beautiful !! reminds every time we go back in the Philippines 🇵🇭🇬🇧 we cook lechon missing the life in the province neighbors and relatives , awesome keep it up Dustin greetings from England 🇬🇧🇵🇭👍👌
WE USED TO DO LECHON TOO AS BUSINESS. . FROM THE START, THE CHARCOAL SHOULD BE AWAY FROM THE PIG NOTHING IN THE BOTTOM TO GRADUALLY ROAST IT AND NOT TO CRACK THE SKIN AWAY
Simply because they don't do it everyday...it needs familiarity to adjust fhe heat. Just like in basketball, you u know how to play, but of u haven't played for a year..it feels awkward and out of timing.
@@arizsanty9847 to make it more tasty, oil, a bit of calamansi juice, ginger juice, pepper, minced garlic, green onions, light soy sauce, oyster sauce. Mixed up and rub it once in a while. Use lemongrass leaves as a brush😊

The heat makes the banana leaf flexible thus preventing it from tearing easily. You can then use it as a plate or wrapping something. You can’t do that with a crunchy banana leaf.

THE BEST LECHON IN PROVINCE DUSTIN IS THE MAN OF HOUR YAHOOO
It was delicious 😋
Leonardo Luga he is !
@@DustinBackpacks thank you so much Dustin
Thank you for sharing this video new friend sending you my support thank you
Thanks you
I’ve never seen how lechon started.
Here in the US, you see blood in every meat you cooked and more visible in white meat as in chicken.
halal doesnt mean healthy though =) it means it is "allowed to eat". opposite of which is called "haram"
pig is haram(not allowed) to muslims.

nilo5020, it wasn’t weed haha. It was just tobacco leaves.

It’s the same as chewing tobacco that baseball players chew on during a game except this is more organic.

WE USED TO DO LECHON TOO AS BUSINESS. . FROM THE START, THE CHARCOAL SHOULD BE AWAY FROM THE PIG NOTHING IN THE BOTTOM TO GRADUALLY ROAST IT AND NOT TO CRACK THE SKIN AWAY
🙂🙏
May I ask, what do you rub to make it crispy? Thank you. Lechon is my favorite/
@@arizsanty9847 evaporated milk, sir... then, oil from time to time...
Godbless Dustin!
