Thanks for the video my wife and I watch all the time. You do great on your own but I've noticed using a round Bend hook instead of a wide Gap seems to hook them better. As far as keeping them pinned, I noticed your really pull hard and I understand in kayak and with lots of vegetation a strong Hookset is important. However bass will inhale the fluke and hold it in their lips, then with another gulp they suck it down to their crushers. So waiting and extra second sort of like a topwater frog can improve your hookup ratio. Learned tips from you as well so hope this helps. Yak-On.😊❤
Kinda "Un-Wind" from all the rigors of competitions, which is good for the Soul...! Great day of fishin', and you got to relax (in your own special way! I'm really jealous, though!) Lol...
Kristine, I enjoy watching your videos and don’t mind seeing you use the electronics. If you don’t you will be left behind. I have been thinking of getting a kayak but I’m turning 73 on the 8th. Do you think I could launch the kayak by myself? What kayak would you recommend for just fishing for fun because I love bass fishing?🙏🎣♥️
Amazing how many fish you caught! I didn't see how you rigged the fluke, but I found that I had to rig my flukes with a straight flipping/punching hook to get the better hookup to land ratio. This helped me in Clear Lake CA when I got on a great fluke bite around lots of grass. Was using EWG and found that this style hook didn't help. Switching to straight shank flipping solved it. Didn't seem to hurt the action. Thanks for another great video!
Good grief K. That water was loaded!!! I swear when you're standing & do that banana back bend it looks like you're going overboard every time 😂😂😂. 👍👴🦸♀️🎣🇺🇸🦅
That's the way I do it. 3 of the biggest bass I've caught in Indiana were in 2 foot of water or less. I cracked a 20 1/4" bass last spring in about 18" of water. They are in there!!! I don't use electronics. Don't need too. 😊👍
Have you spoken yet on the Jacob Foutz video, controversy? I know the Kayak circuit is probably different, but id be all ears on your personal take on the subject
Fun video. I'm a tad jealous. You might want to try a Gamakatzu hybrid offset worm hook with the fluke. The hook point rides a little above the line tie, rather than in line with it. It's helped me.
Dang girl your a hammer....nice to see real bass fishing...not spotlighting ...I got were only throw flukes and weightless worms on braid only...and let em run a little when they get it. That's what helped me
Great video. I have the PA 14 360. Now, wife wants a kayak. What Hobie fishing kayak would you recommend for a novice. When are you going to do a video on your kayak trailer. Thanks for your videos they're extremely informative.
I saw you on podcast, that your a avid muskie fishermen. You may know this already, but in case not Green bay Wisconsin on the bay they're landing 50 inch muskie quite regardly.
Hey Kristine, I tend to Texas rig my flukes with a 1/0 or 3/0 offset straight shank hook. Sometimes I'll nose hook 'em on size 2 dropshot hook w/ a small CPS spring. I'm usually using junior size super fluke so I'll go with a ML spinning setup and set the hook straight up into their mouth. As always, good luck from a fellow Nebraskan!
I wanted to say your intro to your videos is so cool. Great fishing day especially with no electronics and having to control your kayak. Job well done.
Try using an offset worm hook for flukes. Don’t come through the top just stick it in at the natural angle and when fish bites the point is pushed up more than on EWG. You can do same thing by bending the ewg out a little I just like the worm hook better. I use 5.75” flukes with 4/0 worm hook. 5/0 if you can find them
“Ohhhhhhhhh! ! ! That was a Big One! ! !” I just love your reaction when the bass spits out the lure. Cracks me up🤣🤣🤣. Great fishin’! ! ! Were ya still on Lake P at Kickapoo? Don’t have to give it away, if ya don’t want. 🤫🤫🤫
Had to chuckle the way you tossed the first white bass back!! Glad you caught some big ones!! So jealous. I have carpal tunnel and trigger finger surger today, so will be out for a few weeks.
This is fishing instinctively, my favorite, big fish in cover. Was on the Guadalupe Tuesday, 11 fish in about 3 leisurely hours. Fish were all over new water lilies in a few feet of water. You've got great instincts Kristine
Most of your missed fish was due to casting over the bush & weed mat. Very hard to drag them through that stuff without them jumping up first an dislodging bait. Thanks for the video ❤
Kristine... I love your video's. It just kills me how you do not fall out of or tip over a kayak, when your standing up and setting the hook on a fish.
This video made my day, what a blessing. Love the videos of just raw fishing. Got me motivated to get on the water as soon as winter fades away here in northeast PA.
Using eyes and instincts -- no electronics -- no rich adults playing video games -- how refreshing.
Had so much fun. Kind of thankful for these trips like this between competitions
Couldn’t agree more
Thank you so much for actually fishing ! No electronics I love it ! Thank you!
Glad you enjoy it!
@@kristinefischer2289I'm looking forward to your videos and hope you continue to do great in up coming tournaments!
I switched to "Googan Squad Heavy Hammer Hooks" and have had a lot better results!
WOW. Kristine, that was an amazing day of fishing, I enjoyed every moment! Take care and be safe!
Thanks Christine!

Thank you! I try to give them a little time, but still end up losing some big bites !
Screwlock hook on 15lb Fluro Leader tied to 20lb Braid. Solid hook ups.
Awesome video! Is there anything more hilarious than a slow-mo “Noooooooooo”?
I was dying ! 😂
✌️👍 young lady looks like you were catching some of Gees fish in Bass.. lol👍✌️
Love to see you fish bass in the Lynx! I know it’s your Muskie rig.
I noticed you didn't put the lake name for a reason. I'd keep that place a secret too!
Hello Kristine. Where were you fishing in Texas? I live here.
I use owner hooks and eagle clae hooks there very sharp hooks i don't lose fish on those hooks.
This is exactly how I love to fish too!
Except I love spinning rods 😂
When they jump put your rod tip under water and they wont jump as much.
Great video. I have the PA 14 360. Now, wife wants a kayak. What Hobie fishing kayak would you recommend for a novice. When are you going to do a video on your kayak trailer. Thanks for your videos they're extremely informative.
That’s coming Sunday! Will be live.
I would look at the lynx for her! I love mine and most friends who don’t fish much love the lynx also
Caught a ton of quality fish! That slo mo was awesome!
I saw you on podcast, that your a avid muskie fishermen. You may know this already, but in case not Green bay Wisconsin on the bay they're landing 50 inch muskie quite regardly.
Yes they do! But that fishery they catch most of those trolling I believe - open water suspended fish. Tough to go casting

Super helpful- thanks Samson fishing and GBR
Отличные кадры. Вы постарались, чтобы это выглядело зрелищно)
Bass thumb day for sure. Fun to watch.
I’ve lost many of fish from using ewg hooks so I switched to hammer hooks they are straight shank with a slightly bigger bite on them
I’ve tried this owner hook with a twist lock, it isn’t an EWG, I lost a ton of those
I wanted to say your intro to your videos is so cool. Great fishing day especially with no electronics and having to control your kayak. Job well done.
I appreciate that! I was stoked with the intro!

I’m just loving it. Wish I could get them going like that here at Chick.
Chick trap bite should be prime right now
Most of your missed fish was due to casting over the bush & weed mat. Very hard to drag them through that stuff without them jumping up first an dislodging bait. Thanks for the video ❤
Straight up fishing East Texas style. Some people will never know. Awesome video
Kristine... I love your video's. It just kills me how you do not fall out of or tip over a kayak, when your standing up and setting the hook on a fish.
Getting my bass fix vicariously through you! As always thanks for sharing!
Eagle claw hooks .
Thank you Kristine for showing how it’s done. I wish more fisherman would go back to the raw talent and instinct way of fishing.
Love the Camo on your blackpak pro. I custom painted mine too
Good fishing

Really liked that You were not using a net! Enjoy your videos, thanks!
I love watching you fish! You just rock it!
Now that’s a fun day of fishing right there Kristine 😁👍💯
can't wait to retire and travel to fish
It’s worth it!
Great day of fishin!!
Cool video
Thank you!
You caught more in one day than I caught all last year!
