Current Location : Greengrass Island
Well i made it to ultra 5 on Saturday Night cooking and in the morning i got 42 ingredients to cook . And my pokémon boosted strength gave me even more strength. And When i cooked Beanburger Curry + 42 ingredients togather it gave me a extra tasty curry whooping 16,800 Dish Strength. And now i will reach my 1st Master Class this Sunday weekend. Just 6083 snorlax strength needed to reach Master Class. Lucky Me 😊

Calculator isn’t accurate and has ALOT of flaws, the main one is it doesnt include mainskill level and constantly shifts subskills around based on level.

The rater is a nice tool, but it is definitely lacking sometimes when it comes to the finer details. It doesn’t understand the nuance of having a skill boosting nature or Skill Level Up M on a Charge Strength M mon like Espeon for example.
I got a pretty cracked Eevee and it only rated it at 85th percentile for level 25. The full skillset if you want to see what I mean:
Eevee (Gentle)
Milk/Cacao/Cacao
Helping Bonus
Skill Level Up M
Ingredient Finder M
Ingredient Finder S
Helping Speed M
In my eyes this nature is only behind Adamant/Brave/Lonely for an Espeon, but it ranks it at 8th of 25. Also doesn’t seem to value the Skill Level Up very much, or the fact the cacao is a harder to find ingredient so might be better than milk.
I appreciate having the rater as a tool, but it does have some blind spots that need to be covered by common sense.
Yeah in no way is it perfect, data is still being tracked for the game! It’s not fair to expect a perfect tool when the game is so new right! But this is just a way to track mons imo
I wonder if skill level up isn’t valued because there are just items that you can use. I always view it as main skills are set at 0, so whenever anything procs it’s just like a cherry on top vs an actual calculation. Like you can’t calculate perfectly calculate Level 6 Charge S “increase Snorlax’s Strength by anywhere from 1033 to 4132”.
Also side note, data is coming out showing that Helping Bonus might not even be 5% effective. Not sure if it’s glitched right now or not
@@IcedTallChai I thought about that for skill level up too, but from skimming the discord the creator of the calc said he hasn't factored in main skills at all yet. So it's essentially confirmed as an oversight, and probably one that will take quite a while to address, because of how complex it is to factor in skills for all of the different mons.
And yeah hopefully they fix the bug with Helping Bonus soon, pretty terrible one to be broken because I have 3 of that skill on my current team.
Can you do vids for each role of your team, eg. skill composition, berry etc, that would be helpful as well

The other issue is it doesnt properly calculate strength based off mons with charge strength M like espeon

My understanding is if you have berry S at 50 and other gold skills at 10 and 25 then it’s interchangeable. It’s about the overall percentile that the mon is in. Preferably you’ll want Berry Finding S as soon as possible for longer berry gains.
As for the skills being calculated, skill triggers are calculated per the discord announcements so I can’t really say much other than when I look at mons, I treat them as 0 skills activated. Everything else is a bonus. I am looking just at berries and ingredients with sub skills.
Lemme know your thoughts! Conversation drives change, and I know the calculator is loads better now than when I first used it weeks ago!

ive done the calculator thing and something keeps changeing like ive done same mons and there power keeps changeing but i enter the same stats and stuff for the same mon.
I’m wondering if it’s the island percentage bonus??

What is the difference between Skill Trigger Value and Total Strength? I have some with more than 90 Skill and others with less Skill but with 90 Total Strenght, so I don't know if it's good or not to keep it.
Why would i want berry finder S on an ingredient mon like charizard, its going to clutter the inventory and lower the droprate of ingredients

At some point your ingredient usage is going to be capped though, I don’t really think you need to get 50+ sausages overnight every day for example. Berry Finding S is going to be better even on an ingredient mon because when the inventory is full it still keeps collecting berries via sneaky snacking, and now you are doubling that power growth.
Sneaky snacking is that pop up you will see sometimes when opening up the app after being gone for a while, it will say “pikachu gave snorlax 2000 power while you were away” or something like that. That’s all from berries obtained after hitting the inventory limit.
And lastly, if you check on your pokemon every 2-3 hours or so, the inventory space shouldn’t really matter during the course of the day. It’s only gonna be hit when you sleep.
So tl;dr Berry Finding S is a goated sub skill on basically every mon, and while the calc has other problems, this isn’t one of them.

@@seda_11 I think they will likely add more recipes and cooking pot size UP will become more relevant, imagine everyday we get 40k strength per dish
@@d0ubl3st3p I still don't think it really matters that much. With higher level pokemon your berries start approaching 100 strength a pop so that will really add up, even overnight. You might lose out on say 5 ingredients overnight from inventory filling faster, but that's only worth around 500 strength, or around 750 strength with stronger ingredients like cacao or mushrooms. Even if we go on the high end and say you lost 10 ingredients, that is only in the 1000-1500 strength range.
For a mid-level pokemon your berries give over 50 strength a pop by level 30. Most fully evolved pokemon are gonna have enough frequency to blow 1500 strength out of the water with sneaky snacking from Berry Finding S. It basically turns them into a berry specialist overnight, doubling the power they otherwise would've gotten from sneaky snacking. High level players are already posting screenies of sneaky snacking with 10k+ strength per mon.
This isn't even taking account the rest of the day, where you can simply open the app every 2 hours to clear inventory space, making Berry Finding S have zero ingredient cost. I'm not sure how many berry procs the average mon gets per day, but it's definitely enough that BFS is a goated skill on basically any pokemon.
I used the calculator and key in the same stats for this raticate but only showing Daily Strength 12.9k. How did you manage to get it to 31k?
You have to add in island bonuses as well as recipe levels in settings
Basically why do i want to have berry finder S for a level 10 mon, but then at level 50 for a level 50 mon, what happened to level 10?
None of this calculator stuff makes sense to me /:
