Great video Keith, especially your message to Zavvi at the end. Live in County Down and use Zavvi sometimes but never for pre-orders as I think they take your money right away. Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure hmv and amazon take payment closer to release. That Leon set is stunning. The Pic of Gary Oldman with the dreads looks like it's from True Romance although I haven't actually watched Leon in about 20 odd years . I think you'll love this movie, can't stretch to this edition but will pick up 4k at some point. Look forward to watching it again. Take care.

I remember The Fifth Element unboxing, it was a good one Keith. Glad you got this one sorted but no thanks to Zavvi, they are a joke. Well done to Craig. Amazing artwork on the main box, very nice. I finally popped my Criterion cherry with Dazed and Confused and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I have to admit Matt I do not have many criterion releases. As a matter of fact I was just gifted three a couple of weeks back and I think I had another two. It's not what I call one of my favorite labels but there is no denying the work they have put into each one of their releases. I really need to look into more. Now that I think of it Dazed and Confused wouldn't be a bad one to pick up

You are going to love this film , ive seen it several times, the theatrical cut and Directors Cut is my favourite version, i have it on Blu-ray, but i love the set you have got , its amazing, all the stuff you got with the film like the milk carton and plant will make sense when you watch it , Luc Besson who directed it , did a brilliant job , amazing film 🤟

@@millerman9991 Yes The Fifth Element is also a great film, it's up there with Blade Runner for visuals , but back to Leon , Gary Oldman puts in a brilliant performance, Jean Reno and a very young Natalie Portman also put in a great performance 🤟📽️📀

Especially since they dropped their Twitter support. I truly think it wont be long until they fold; as their parent company THG have had some serious financial difficulties. I also spoke to Everythingblu, who told me that unlike Rambo & The Fifth Element, they had nothing to do with this release of Leon, in the end, and that it was all produced and fulfilled by Zavvi solely. You may be able to spot one or two quality differences in the card quality of the extras. Unfortunately I couldn't help myself in this video and apologies for that. Zavvi really get the worst out of me but the good news is I will never have to worry about them again. When everythingblu contacted me and told me that they had left zavvi I was absolutely ecstatic and they did mention something about the Leon releases aswell and how they didn't have much to do with it. It's still a beautiful release but definitely nothing near as good as Rambo and The Fifth Element. Is zavvi continue going down this path there's no question about it they will definitely fold and they only have themselves to blame. I actually remember my first ever vinegar syndrome Edition and it was Roadhouse and as soon as I seen it I knew I needed to get more from them. You are going to be blown away by both of those releases that you are getting particularly Existenz. I tried getting it myself with no success. EBay here I come. I Can't Help But encourage anyone that wants to start a UA-cam channel. Honestly it's one of the best things I have ever done and if you need any help at all please don't hesitate to ask me and if you do set it up make sure you let me know so I can be your first subscriber. I think when it comes to presentation all I can say is be yourself. I find that I have a very nice balance when it comes to my videos. I had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM with The hobbit 4k steelbook trilogy. I ordered in December a few years ago and after months of shit ( it coming in stock, like you I didn't order as mine was apparently getting sorted) it was JUNE by the time I got it. Ended up ordering when it came in stock and cancelled previous one. As for Leon mate , awesome film, awesome 4k, awesome audio, and that's an awesome edition. I just grabbed the steelbook but it's gorgeous too.

Yeh , I've had some real dissapointments with zavvi. I had the lost boys vinyl pre ordered once, so sold my original vinyl on the strength of it coming. BIG MISTAKE! Still to this day didn't get it and I've learned my lesson with them. Wouldn't do that again!
The good news is Ian I think I have two more videos in me before Christmas but I think that's the best I can do 😆 🤣. Sorry to hear about that lost boys vinyl release and I wouldn't mind checking that out myself just to see what it looks like. Absolute Gorgeous release. I’ve always had a soft spot for this Film and I’m so glad you shared this. It’s too bad about Zavvi, but I agree, there is some Shady shenanigans. I had quite a bit of trouble with the “Edge of Tomorrow” box set from them but luckily that actually showed up, after Zavvi said it was not. So weird company. I can’t help but feel a bit of anxiety about the “Titans of Cult” order of “Gladiator” the Supreme edition I pre-ordered last October. Amazon says it’s due to ship late January 2024, so it’s been pushed back 2 months already. I bring this up because of what you shared about your “Megan” box set disappointment with Amazon. It just seems like it’s getting harder to order these things with peace of mind that these companies honor their commitments to their customers. Don’t have much experience with Titans of Cult, but it’s becoming a real nail Biter. Fantastic Video Kieth…the Red and Black metalic theme of this really looks Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! It's amazing but every comment that you check on this video everybody has had an experience with Zavvi. Unfortunately with myself it is consistently bad. I actually cannot think of a time where I successfully got an item off them. As for the Titans of Cult edition I'm not sure what to think. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if we heard there was another delay. The one thing I will say though I'm not too concerned when it comes to Amazon because even if that happened again to me I can always go to Amazon Italy. It's always good to have that outlet. @@millerman9991 I could explain it all but wouldn't want to spoil it, Don't suppose you know how to take the lid off a panasonic ub820? My player is having trouble reading some 4k's was gonna clean the lens but can't find a single video of anyone taking one apart. Unscrews easy enough but it's still held by the front panel.
@@millerman9991 I've got one coming from amazon tomorrow bought it after failing to open the thing, It's strange it plays some but won't play others It used to play everything till about a week ago, Just under 2 years old so if the cleaner doesn't work might see if it's still under warranty.
If you don't mind Jeff will you get back to me and let me know if the cleaner worked out. All my discs play but it takes a while to get them going. It would be handy to know if the cleaner solves that issue

Great video Keith, more needs to be made of Zavvi and their terrible customer service. I have been a customer for many years and never had any issues at all, but this year they have failed to honour 4 of my pre-orders. Contacted them each time and got the same ‘first come, first served’ nonsense. This is particularly laughable when 3 of my pre-orders were made within a minute or two of receiving an email notification of the relevant releases. Anyway, enough moaning, what a great edition of Leon this is, great film as well.
I think everybody has a story when it comes to zavv but unfortunately for myself it's happening far too often. I'm actually struggling to think of a time where I didn't have an issue whether it's damage or items simply not being delivered. Thankfully this is the last time I will ever have to worry about it and I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all that crap as well Teo. Thank you so much my friend for taking the time to stop by. Very nice Keith, glad you got one this time. I didn't get either set, I just didn't like what they did with the artwork, strange exaggeration of the images, similar to artificial sharpening on video. By the way, this is the Director's Cut only, for some reason the original Theatrical version is not available on 4k (or blu ray I think). Cheers. Gaz.
That's very strange to hear that it's a directors cut only. Normally you would have both options on the 4K release. I'm very surprised to hear that you weren't crazy about the packaging. Yeah you must have gotten the box that was inside the bigger one. I think that is the £60 version if I remember correctly. It's still a fantastic edition you have

Watch the theatrical version first keith then watch the directors cut with the 23 mins added back in to the film! Which gives you a bit more character development!
I'm a little bit concerned Steven because somebody told me that the 4k disc has only got the director's cut and not the theatrical. I will need to check it myself because that sounds very strange to me.
Yeah zavvi is brutal I’m in Belfast myself and the way they shipped boxsets to me were awful just threw into a box with no bubble wrap or paper for protection my inglorious bastards box was smashed to bits
I am actually sick to hear that has happened to your boxset Stephen because that is one gorgeous looking release and the last thing you want is any kind of damage. Please tell me they at least give you a replacement copy. It would be a shame to miss out on that release

My brother had an issue with his Fugitive steelbook with Zavvi. Their customer service team are non existent. They still haven't replied to him. Luckily the steelbook arrived a week later. It's a real stress inducing lottery with Zavvi. Honestly I'd pay a little more to avoid the stress 😅
I am not kidding I cannot think of a single time where I bought off zavvi and didn't have an issue in some way shape or form. It's great to hear that it's not only me that has these issues as well. I've never witnessed a company who are so unwilling to improve their situation. They've really lost out on a customer like myself. It's a shame because they bring out some amazing releases. It's there loss in the end

Zavvi’s customer service is a joke, their online system is basic at best, and their business practices are bordering on illegal. I think I've said everything I need to say when it comes to zavvi and I have to admit I'm so relieved that I never have to deal with them again. I have never used The Hut so I honestly don't know
I do find it odd that you would spend so much on this when you haven’t seen the film. It did get quite annoying when you kept questioning things and saying “ I’m sure it has something to do with the movie “ You probably should have watched the film before unboxing. It saved me 15 quid aswell re-ordering it from zavvi and cancelling the other. Beautiful looking release and love that Natalie Portman art on the back. Great video Keith, especially your message to Zavvi at the end. Live in County Down and use Zavvi sometimes but never for pre-orders as I think they take your money right away. Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure hmv and amazon take payment closer to release. That Leon set is stunning. The Pic of Gary Oldman with the dreads looks like it's from True Romance although I haven't actually watched Leon in about 20 odd years . I have to admit Matt I do not have many criterion releases. As a matter of fact I was just gifted three a couple of weeks back and I think I had another two. It's not what I call one of my favorite labels but there is no denying the work they have put into each one of their releases. I really need to look into more. Now that I think of it Dazed and Confused wouldn't be a bad one to pick up

You are going to love this film , ive seen it several times, the theatrical cut and Directors Cut is my favourite version, i have it on Blu-ray, but i love the set you have got , its amazing, all the stuff you got with the film like the milk carton and plant will make sense when you watch it , Luc Besson who directed it , did a brilliant job , amazing film 🤟
I have to admit there is some peculiar items inside this set and I'm very curious to see how it all fits into the movie. I'm sure it'll make sense as soon as I see it. I'm a huge fan of the Fifth Element and I know Luc Besson can be a bit out there so I'm really intrigued to finally check this out
@@millerman9991 Yes The Fifth Element is also a great film, it's up there with Blade Runner for visuals , but back to Leon , Gary Oldman puts in a brilliant performance, Jean Reno and a very young Natalie Portman also put in a great performance 🤟📽️📀

Going by the comment section tonight there hasn't been a single bad word made against this movie. As a matter of fact it's a lot of people's favorite movie or definitely in their top ten. I honestly cannot wait to finally tick this one off. Like I said in the video I never have to worry about zavvi again. So at least that's something.

Zavvi have gone down the pan immensely in the last few months. Especially since they dropped their Twitter support. I truly think it wont be long until they fold; as their parent company THG have had some serious financial difficulties. I also spoke to Everythingblu, who told me that unlike Rambo & The Fifth Element, they had nothing to do with this release of Leon, in the end, and that it was all produced and fulfilled by Zavvi solely. You may be able to spot one or two quality differences in the card quality of the extras. I am just glad for you and those who bought it, that it wasn't made of paper mache 😂😂

Unfortunately I couldn't help myself in this video and apologies for that. Zavvi really get the worst out of me but the good news is I will never have to worry about them again.
When everythingblu contacted me and told me that they had left zavvi I was absolutely ecstatic and they did mention something about the Leon releases aswell and how they didn't have much to do with it. It's still a beautiful release but definitely nothing near as good as Rambo and The Fifth Element. Is zavvi continue going down this path there's no question about it they will definitely fold and they only have themselves to blame.

Keith I am currently anticipating a potential Christmas present of my first Vinegar Syndrome editions of D.A.R.Y.L on 4k (which I have a nostalgic soft-spot for) & Existenz on 4k (which I have never seen!) I'm toying with the idea of beginning to do some video reviews like yourself but from the pictures of seen D.A.R.Y.L artwork in particular looks like fantastic artwork so I feel safe recommending for your top 10 considerations. 😀 Do you have any pro tips around presentation and what you like to see when watching reviews? Light quality and sound quality are imperitave for myself but I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I actually remember my first ever vinegar syndrome Edition and it was Roadhouse and as soon as I seen it I knew I needed to get more from them. You are going to be blown away by both of those releases that you are getting particularly Existenz. I tried getting it myself with no success. EBay here I come.

I think when it comes to presentation all I can say is be yourself. I find that I have a very nice balance when it comes to my videos. I will talk about the movie I will take people around the release and then come back and talk about the transfer and sound. For me that is the ideal way and that's what I look out for on other people's channels.

As far as I'm aware of David they are going by themselves like they did before and that's only a good thing. I don't know what it is with myself but I've had nothing but bad luck when it comes to zavvi. I actually can think of a time where I got an item that was damaged free. I had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM with The hobbit 4k steelbook trilogy. I ordered in December a few years ago and after months of shit ( it coming in stock, like you I didn't order as mine was apparently getting sorted) it was JUNE by the time I got it. Ended up ordering when it came in stock and cancelled previous one.
As for Leon mate , awesome film, awesome 4k, awesome audio, and that's an awesome edition. I just grabbed the steelbook but it's gorgeous too.

Yeh , I've had some real dissapointments with zavvi. I had the lost boys vinyl pre ordered once, so sold my original vinyl on the strength of it coming. BIG MISTAKE! Still to this day didn't get it and I've learned my lesson with them. Wouldn't do that again!
The good news is Ian I think I have two more videos in me before Christmas but I think that's the best I can do 😆 🤣. Sorry to hear about that lost boys vinyl release and I wouldn't mind checking that out myself just to see what it looks like. One of my favorite soundtracks and I say you were gutted when you missed out. Hopefully someday you will be able to find it

Absolute Gorgeous release. I’ve always had a soft spot for this Film and I’m so glad you shared this. It’s too bad about Zavvi, but I agree, there is some Shady shenanigans. I had quite a bit of trouble with the “Edge of Tomorrow” box set from them but luckily that actually showed up, after Zavvi said it was not. So weird company.
I can’t help but feel a bit of anxiety about the “Titans of Cult” order of “Gladiator” the Supreme edition I pre-ordered last October. Amazon says it’s due to ship late January 2024, so it’s been pushed back 2 months already. I bring this up because of what you shared about your “Megan” box set disappointment with Amazon. It just seems like it’s getting harder to order these things with peace of mind that these companies honor their commitments to their customers. Don’t have much experience with Titans of Cult, but it’s becoming a real nail Biter.

It's amazing but every comment that you check on this video everybody has had an experience with Zavvi. Unfortunately with myself it is consistently bad. I actually cannot think of a time where I successfully got an item off them. As for the Titans of Cult edition I'm not sure what to think. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if we heard there was another delay. The one thing I will say though I'm not too concerned when it comes to Amazon because even if that happened again to me I can always go to Amazon Italy. It's always good to have that outlet. My player is having trouble reading some 4k's was gonna clean the lens but can't find a single video of anyone taking one apart.
Unscrews easy enough but it's still held by the front panel.
I honestly do not have a clue Jeff and I am actually having issues with my player as well. Is there not a disc cleaner you can buy for a 4K player

It's strange it plays some but won't play others It used to play everything till about a week ago, Just under 2 years old so if the cleaner doesn't work might see if it's still under warranty.
If you don't mind Jeff will you get back to me and let me know if the cleaner worked out. All my discs play but it takes a while to get them going. It would be handy to know if the cleaner solves that issue

Great video Keith, more needs to be made of Zavvi and their terrible customer service. I have been a customer for many years and never had any issues at all, but this year they have failed to honour 4 of my pre-orders. Contacted them each time and got the same ‘first come, first served’ nonsense. This is particularly laughable when 3 of my pre-orders were made within a minute or two of receiving an email notification of the relevant releases. Anyway, enough moaning, what a great edition of Leon this is, great film as well.
I think everybody has a story when it comes to zavv but unfortunately for myself it's happening far too often. I'm actually struggling to think of a time where I didn't have an issue whether it's damage or items simply not being delivered. Thankfully this is the last time I will ever have to worry about it and I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all that crap as well Teo. Thank you so much my friend for taking the time to stop by. Watch the theatrical version first keith then watch the directors cut with the 23 mins added back in to the film! Which gives you a bit more character development!
I'm a little bit concerned Steven because somebody told me that the 4k disc has only got the director's cut and not the theatrical. I will need to check it myself because that sounds very strange to me.
Yeah zavvi is brutal I’m in Belfast myself and the way they shipped boxsets to me were awful just threw into a box with no bubble wrap or paper for protection my inglorious bastards box was smashed to bits
I am actually sick to hear that has happened to your boxset Stephen because that is one gorgeous looking release and the last thing you want is any kind of damage. Please tell me they at least give you a replacement copy. It would be a shame to miss out on that release

My brother had an issue with his Fugitive steelbook with Zavvi. Their customer service team are non existent. They still haven't replied to him. Luckily the steelbook arrived a week later. It's a real stress inducing lottery with Zavvi. Honestly I'd pay a little more to avoid the stress 😅
I am not kidding I cannot think of a single time where I bought off zavvi and didn't have an issue in some way shape or form. It's great to hear that it's not only me that has these issues as well. I've never witnessed a company who are so unwilling to improve their situation. They've really lost out on a customer like myself. It's a shame because they bring out some amazing releases. Zavvi’s customer service is a joke, their online system is basic at best, and their business practices are bordering on illegal. I’m so glad to never order from them again and want to say a thank you to you for bringing their dodgy shenanigans to the fore. Out of interest, with The Hut now owning Arrow, how has your experience been with them?

I do find it odd that you would spend so much on this when you haven’t seen the film. It did get quite annoying when you kept questioning things and saying “ I’m sure it has something to do with the movie “ You probably should have watched the film before unboxing.
