One of my favorites soaps of all time...This episode was one of the best. This is a great cut of this episode from 1984....Enjoy...love the twist at the end.....
Loved Rick and Mindy.. So adorable together. And Lujack popped up on the scene to dance with Beth.. Loved the Beth and Lujack love story. My favorite soap growing up❤️
Beth n phillip all the way. When beth and phillip danced to truly at the prom and fell in love was my favorite gl memory and the most beautiful love story ever. My favorite gl couple. lujack I couldnt stand.
I thoroughly enjoyed this and other episodes centering on the masquerade ball signaling Alexandra's return to Springfield. I wish that so many beloved characters weren't written off within the next couple of years. There was plenty of room for the Bauers, Spauldings, Chamberlains, Reardons, and Lewises. I felt that there were too many Shaynes and Coopers who ate up the show in later years.
I miss this show I watched it every day after school. The actors and actresses were great it would be nice if they would bring it back for people to enjoy. Like me and my Family had.
So true. I was young but remember reading Guiding Light had nabbed the #1 spot from General Hospital. It was firing on all cylinders. Different era than the Dobsons and Marland era but, enjoyable none-the-less...in my opinion. Thx for the upload.
Pam Long and Gail Kobe destroyed and dismantled the core, foundation and fabric of G/L by writing off the core Bauer and Reardon families, as well as other key characters such as Justin Marler, Amanda Wexler Spaulding McFarren, Eve Stapleton McFarren, Katie and Floyd Parker. A singular one-week stint at #1 in the Nielsen ratings will NEVER compensate for years of structural destruction and unraveling driven by the Long/Kobe reckless regime!!! Doug Marland forever!!!
Loved, loved, loved Annabelle. That was one weird storyline, The Dreaming Death.. And, Dr. Jim-well, he was quite the looker! The Vanessa/Reva pairing was a riot and well the storm that shook Springfield, Baroness Alex! I hope you're watching The Locher Report-getting to see everyone again!
Alina Mitchelson Ha! Me too; I wanted to write for the show at 11 and even sent I suggestions for a black family to be related to the Spaulding...guess what, they eventually did.
CBS had the best soaps in the 70’s & 80’s bar none
Back when soaps had really good writers who gave the audience quality storytelling and real character development
Amanda mccoy the interweaving of storylines in this episode was seamless!

The Clarinet World me to. I was in kindergarten when this episode came around. It would be nice for them to have a classic soaps channel.
It's nice to hear real music, and some damn club crap. This is when soaps played good party music
Gail Kobe and Pam Long piloted this show to #1, the first show to ever replace General Hospital as the top daytime drama.
