Taxi operators block N2 and R61 highways near Mthatha

- The N2 and R61 highways near Mthatha in the Eastern Cape remain blocked by protesting taxi operators. It's believed that the actions of the operators are a response to a crackdown by authorities last week.
Police confiscated pistols and assault rifles following the resurgence of taxi violence in the Mthatha, Tsolo and Maclear areas.
Meanwhile, police in Bizana have confirmed the arrest of two people during a service delivery-related protest.
