Honestly, I don’t care about the Chinese censure because their love can’t be hidden even if they try. if you only put enough attention you can see clearly that they’re more than just friends, I love it. He waited for 13 years, performing inquiry in hope that he could find even just a tiny bit of Wuxian's soul. And after the long wait, Wei Ying came back and played the song Lan Zhan wrote at Dafan Mountain. Lan Zhan knew at that moment that it was him. Lan Zhan did not let him go again. This, my friends, is true love. Pure and sacrifing. So sad, it's rare these days and only happens in fiction.

LWJ was irritated by how his love at first sight was WWX so he acted like he hated him only to know it was a lie. He couldn't stand the fact that Wei Ying threw himself off a cliff and died. But he was the first one to know that Wei Ying was there. Just because the ban of bl shows are in China doesn't mean that we will believe that his feelings are fake because no matter how anyone changes the script it's always been and always will be lan Wang ji and Wei Wuxian

It really hits deep when you realise that Lan Zhan was suffering just as much as Wei Wuxian did. Imagine watching the love of your life falling deeper into the dark arts that you know will eventually kill not just himself but also the one he cares about. He knows how much pain it will cost WWX if he lost control of his power and kill the people he wanted to protect that's why LZ was trying to prevent that as much as he was trying to prevent WWX's death but then WWX didn't listen (coz he didn't have a choice) and that just made LWJ even more anxious day by day and the fact that he thought that WWX hated him didn't help that. LWJ was just so selfless the whole time. He didn't care even if WWX doesn't love him back, as long as he remains happy and safe even of this means that he himself has to suffer. I just honestly can't imagine how much pain he was in during those 13 years and if WWX didn't come back, he'd still be that lifeless LWJ who's searching for WWX until probably his death 😢😢

I watched the donghua, read the novel and manhua *which is on going* I can't move on from this beautiful story and now again we have the live adaptation *sighs* anothet heartache but im glad its a happy ending. I'm just so glad that in the drama, they subtly included that strong romantic love in the two characters! Even though it was portrayed as bromance, but we all know it was definitely more than that and both the actors did an amazing job showing that deep bond the characters had for each other.

When I was watching it for the first time, I didn't focus on Lan Zhan's life after Wuxian died but this video made me realise how much he suffered when he didn't have love of his life next to him... when I think about him being so broken and helpless my heart breaks too. I'm so happy that he finally found his lover and can smiles again. I have to mention that I'm really glad, that in the end they stayed together, I couldn't imagine them not being together after all these things that happened. I'm just so glad that in the drama, they subtly included that strong romantic love in the two characters! Even though it was portrayed as bromance, but we all know it was definitely more than that and both the actors did an amazing job showing that deep bond the characters had for each other.
