Hey guys, another great ride so beautiful with the leaves changing . you picked a great time to make that trip, being from the myrtle beach area i have ridden those roads many time with my friends always a great ride thanks for sharing your trip hope you had a great time ,
Beautiful scenery, beautiful road and for the life of me I can’t figure out why anyone would want to rush through it. Thanks for sharing your amazing adventures
The best motorcycle riding documentaries of riding in Eastern Tennessee/Western North Carolina by far. Capturing the elk rutting was a blessing. Kudos!
Epic!!!! You are a blessing brother Matt. Thank you for sharing your family’s journey with us. Five years ago I found your channel on UA-cam. Bought a few Harleys since then and now my wife wants to ride two up. We’re heading to the Shed in may for a couple of BlackBerry Smoke concerts and we will be riding a day or two in the area. You are Harley Davidson for me. Thank you again.
Amazing roads, amazing people to share it with on amazing bikes. Perfect weather conditions just added to the experience. Matt your documentary skills are outstanding. Your photography of the Smoky Mountains showed the beauty of the area perfectly. Thank you once again for taking us along! Greetings from Canada. 🇨🇦
Holy crap! What an amazing cinematic video you made here! I thoroughly enjoyed your take on your amazing trip! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
I watched part 1 and 2 and this is an exceptional video! Thank you for helping people see the beauty of my home state of Tennessee! I ride those roads many times every year. Yes, Gatlinburg is a nightmare, don't ever go there on bikes, but it's a pretty cool tourist trap for shopping and people watching.
I live in the NE and have done the tail and back of the dragon - lots of hype and I would say its a bucket list ride to say you've done it. Having said that, there are WAY MORE technical and difficult rides in the West compared to anything in the East. Roads in Colorado, the Dakota's, Idaho, Montanta, Wyoming, Utah, Calif have higher elevations, better scenery, and can be much more technical and require a high level of experience . I mean, dont get me wrong, i'm glad you came east to visit us Matt but you have way more options and better rides than the Smokey mountains. Also, did you see any police? There are times when they stricktly enforce the speed limit and you have to be careful not to go too far over the limit.
Wonderful video. I was down there in July and hit many of the roads you did. The parkway was probably my favorite. I was there a few yrs ago and there was little traffic except for right in town. This yr there was crazy amounts of traffic. Not sure what changed. Glad you enjoyed coming over to the east coast.
Great video AGAIN, but in defense of the locals when your crew were lane splitting. Most locals don't head into Gatlinburg at those hrs. It probably were the tourists sharing their frustration hahaha. Glad you enjoyed it and were smart enough to utilize the motorcycles. Thank you for sharing
Another awesome video. Really enjoyed this one as I’ve ridden those roads. My pic is from the dragon. Welcome to leaf looker season which is the worst time to go there on a wknd. Stayed in Cherokee many times and then rode the blue ridge parkway the entire length. Pretty well any road off the blue ridge is excellent. Glad u enjoyed it
I'm so glad you folks enjoyed my neck of the woods, sorry about the traffic nearer to G-Burg. I am especially glad you enjoyed the speed limits...Co-worker of mine likes to run the Cherohala at 90ish MPH on his Road Glide. :O The Dragon is a bit more fun once the leaves drop, and you can SEE the next corner instead of guessing. :)
The Cheoah dam is the dam that Harrison Ford dove off of in the movie "The Fugitive" if you stop on the bridge right before the lodge, you can get a good view of it.
We were in Wise Guys while ya'll were there. Thought it was you. I should've said hi. Every road in this area is epic. Stay in Maggie Valley or Cherokee, Gatlinburg is a mad house all the time.
Thanks for the great videos! Glad you made it through the Dragon without an Idiot ruining it for you all. We were over the other side of the mountains in NC too, less than a week before the hurricane flooded everything out. Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Boone, Ashville, all that were flooded and some that are virtually gone! Heading back in the Spring to try to support the businesses in the area, and ride some of the greatest riding in the East. Thanks again.
Another great video. Careful splitting lanes on the east coast. Most states it’s illegal and as you saw, it pisses everyone off. I’m sure those cage riders called 911 a few times.
I’ve ridden out there from AZ several times. The Tail is far from my favorite ride but I’ve done it a few times. That area is beautiful. Clingman’s is on my list as I always seems to miss it when I’m out there. Maybe in 2025.
Wish you could have rode the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is amazing on a motorcycle. But you need at least a week or maybe even two to really enjoy it. I guess I am blessed to ride it whenever I want to. :). Glad you guys got out this way to experience it. Safe riding Matt.
Glad you took the advice to save the dragon for a slower day! I for sure need to go again and spend more time. Lane splitting should be allowed and normalized at slow, safe speeds everywhere.
Matt, you produce an excellent video! I half expected to see myself on my desert tan Ural Sidecar in one of the clips. Living in Maryville gives me the opportunity to frequently ride the same roads you were on. And yes, staying in Gatlinburg can be a stressful experience. Many options for accommodations can be found in the areas surrounding the Smoky Mountains like, Townsend, Maryville, Tellico Plains, etc. Ride safe and hurry back!
“There are some stashes that have completely taken over the power sports community. But there’s one in particular called “The Laidlaw Stash”-or some just call it “The Stash”, which is known for its fullness, shape and overall inspiration to the male population/ the world.” That was the best line of this video that I heard.
Matt, We just missed yall up there. Road the same roads but took Moonshiner 28 back home. The Moonshiner 28 is a must maybe one of my favorites up that way. Take it all the way down to highlands to see all the fantastic waterfalls. Another great video and thanks for the content. #myglide_rides
Another great moto vlog Matt 👍. Switchback mountain riding is the best and one of the main reasons I love living in CO. As you experienced there, traffic can be an issue on the popular spots. Fortunately there are numerous not as popular roads that are just as fun. Fall color rides are about as good as it gets too. ✌️
U should try riding the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. Its almost 500 miles total but the overlooks, vistas and scenery are unbelievable, even better than Cherahola. Visit little Switzerland. Set your clock and catch the sunrise thru that valley...breathtaking. Excellent video bro!
great video matt - you, your family and friends should definitely visit stefan and all other european bikers at the European Bikeweek at the Faaker See 👍
Awesome. Welcome to our great state if Tennessee Wish you had timevto come north of Nashville would be great to meetvyou once again. I visited your dealership and you while in California
I believe that dam at the NC end of the Tail is where some shooting in the movie "The Fugitive" took place when Harrison Ford Petter Panned into the river to escape from capture.
Hey Matt was this intentionally and a goodie for your german community? Okay America at this time is not awake yet (except one city that never sleeps), but even for a german this AI one to one translation is exhausting and sounds weird. Please switch it to original. For example you ride on bicycles! 😂🤣😂 But nice you discovered another Men in Black space ship in that indian summer mountains. Our leaves color in the woods looks exactly the same. Great country.
Heading to Death Valley this spring, via, PCH, Yosemite, Sierra Nevadas and thinking about doing a two day sprint across the flatlands to the Tennesse area, then up to Ontario Canada before heading home to British Columbia.
Great video Matt. I love the tail of the dragon. I plan on heading back to the smokies in May and spending 3 days down there. Does anyone have a suggestion for a place to stay? Matt, you are saying no to Gatlinburg?
Good video but youse guys stayed and went thru every tourist trap in the Smokys….we go to the Kickstand Lodge in Robinsville and ride everything available. Much nicer….none of that touristy crap and no traffic. Have fun
Nice area that I need to visit…the tail of the dragon I guess is a classic must do ride in that area but the other road you featured that’s less traveled perhaps seems like a better option for enjoyable riding…cherahula? Is it? What’s the route number or road number? 441?
Were any of these areas affected by the hurricane? I’m not sure the exact locations but I know a lot of areas were devastated. Even so I don’t see people there who would just quit. They’d rebuild. Make it better.
Well hopefully that ends soon when all the jobs come back to the USA in the manufacturing what sucks is if someone flips you off for riding a Harley how do they know that you're not riding a 2020 Still USA made
Huge THANK YOU to whoever was on the back of your bike getting all those incredible shots! 😉
Gotta hit the wheels through time museum, one of the best Harley museums
I tried. It was on the list but due to the hurricane it was closed.
We are very fortunate to have these, ride them often. Great video, informative, nicely done! Thanks.
Thank you. Yes, if you live close you are very blessed
Hey guys, another great ride so beautiful with the leaves changing . you picked a great time to make that trip, being from the myrtle beach area i have ridden those roads many time with my friends always a great ride thanks for sharing your trip hope you had a great time ,
Glad I did the area justice with the locals. Thank you. We had a blast!
Beautiful scenery, beautiful road and for the life of me I can’t figure out why anyone would want to rush through it. Thanks for sharing your amazing adventures
You always do a great job of producing your videos! Love watching….thank you
Thank you sir.
The best motorcycle riding documentaries of riding in Eastern Tennessee/Western North Carolina by far. Capturing the elk rutting was a blessing. Kudos!
Thanks Tim! I appreciate all the pointers and advice. !
Glad you enjoyed it Matt! Come back to the east coast anytime!
Will do! I got Lots more to explore out there.
Knocked it out of the park again! Thanks sharing your experiences and how wonderful our world is 😎👍
Thank you!
Rider's, if you have not ridden this region, MAKE IT HAPPEN. Great job covering it, Matt & Crew. 🍻

We are very blessed here in Australia however that area looks absolutely fantastic 👍 🇺🇸 🇦🇺
Amazing job as always Matt! Thanks for sharing!
My daughter lives in Maryville Tennessee , glad you and your group enjoyed the smoky mountains

Yes! Been waiting for this one! Newfound Gap and heading up Clingmans Dome is such a gorgeous ride
Amazing video! You did a fantastic job capturing a lot of the heart and soul of the area.
As always your media and narration were top-notch, just a amazing ride.
Thanks I enjoyed every minute…

One word Matt. EPIC and thanks for sharing.
The Cheoah dam is the dam that Harrison Ford dove off of in the movie "The Fugitive" if you stop on the bridge right before the lodge, you can get a good view of it.

Love that area, we are about 4 hours north of Gatlinburg. We try to get down there a few times a year.
Another great video. Careful splitting lanes on the east coast. Most states it’s illegal and as you saw, it pisses everyone off. I’m sure those cage riders called 911 a few times.
Another epic video Matt. There is no bad roads in that area. Look up West Virginia HellBender. 132 mile loop with over 1300 curves.
Another great Harley tour video. Thank you, Matt. Great scenery, but the traffic? No Thanks.
I’ve ridden out there from AZ several times. The Tail is far from my favorite ride but I’ve done it a few times. That area is beautiful. Clingman’s is on my list as I always seems to miss it when I’m out there. Maybe in 2025.
WOW! Great vid. Thank you for sharing..
This is the BEST! Great Job.
Great video series. Nice to see the Indie Ridge boots. Steve will be happy to see you with those on lol. Best boots out there.

great trip. Thanks for riding the Tail smartly! Just have to say, I am just a regular guy and know better than take any advice from Travelin Tall. 😂

I was wondering who the hell told you to stay in Gatlinburg. Should have stoped at the overlook at 23:09.
Splitting lanes!? You guys are dangerous...!🤣
Hwy 191 in eastern Az has over 500 curves, and beautiful.

Some of the best riding I've done in East Tenn/ N.C. and one day will get to the West Coast.

Sportglide best bike Harley ever made , number 1 in Europe
Even some of the major hyways are fun riding.. Out there.
Glad you included the sound of the bikes on this video. Would rather hear that instead of the background music. Yes, talk more into the camera.
Great place, haven't been there since 2014 or 2015 😢😢
German is very good for me!!!😉
Great video Matt. I love the tail of the dragon. I plan on heading back to the smokies in May and spending 3 days down there. Does anyone have a suggestion for a place to stay? Matt, you are saying no to Gatlinburg?
Gatlinburg is terrible for traffic even worse if you’re on a bike. Been there done that.
wheres the better spot? somewhore quiet n nice?
Good video but youse guys stayed and went thru every tourist trap in the Smokys….we go to the Kickstand Lodge in Robinsville and ride everything available. Much nicer….none of that touristy crap and no traffic.
Have fun
Next time man. I learned my lesson.
Here we go, danke! haha
Danke ?
@@ManfredDobler-yr8yu It's German for Thank You.
Rode the tail, rode devils highway. 666 is now 191. 666 is just as good as 129 with no people.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice area that I need to visit…the tail of the dragon I guess is a classic must do ride in that area but the other road you featured that’s less traveled perhaps seems like a better option for enjoyable riding…cherahula? Is it? What’s the route number or road number? 441?
Awesome video matt. I love the new Harleys. Are they bringing the chrome road king back for 2025???
Matt you guys go to maggie valley to see the wheels through time museum? It's a must.
I wanted to but it was still closed from the hurricane
Were any of these areas affected by the hurricane? I’m not sure the exact locations but I know a lot of areas were devastated. Even so I don’t see people there who would just quit. They’d rebuild. Make it better.
Oooh in Deutsch 😍 Großartig

Que bien traducido en español
You did it again brother! Bitchen video.👍🏻🤘🏻
That’s the way to enjoy it. But then you need to be careful there isn’t a racer on coming your way over the middle lane
yep…NEVER EVER stay in Pigeon Forge.
Maryville TN is a good place to base out of and has a good HD dealership.
Why can’t we hear it in English 😂
I'm in Australia and am hearing this in German ?. All other youtube stuff is in English as normal ??
Why am I getting it in German Voice over? IDF?
There is a glitch on UA-cam, change your settings, should be right where the close caption is
