And the 33 claims another victim. I worked 20 years in law enforcement in the 805 and lost count of how many riders have been lost along the 33. Saw your speedos in the video when you were up top and all I could think was someone was going to hit a gravel patch or take a corner to wide and meet a front grille head on and then your feed of Emilio's bike covered in dust was my answer. Glad Emilio is still alive and above the grass. He's fortunate. When the 33 bites, it takes a LONG time to get help in those remote parts of VC. Nice to see my hometown of Ventura in your video, too. Andrea's, the Harbor, the Chevron at Main and California Streets, etc. are all familiar sights. Ride safely, Laidlaw crew. Been enjoying your content now for a bit and sure love reminiscing of my life in SoCal through your camera lens before I moved away. Heal up soon, Emilio. Get back on that steel horse.
I'm pleased Amelio wasn't seriously hurt and the bike can always be repaired. Thanks for sharing a great ride and keep up the great vlogs. Thanks Matt for sharing.
as a new rider i can say that it is very nice to see all the different models and the years the only thing that still confuses me are the extra letters like FXRT for the fairing @ 6:18 i've noticed that in more video's and i don't understand what those mean
Great you dropped a video just now, seems so much Harley-Davidson content on UA-cam is pretty negative at the moment. Great to see you guys out just enjoying "The Ride" 😀👍

Another great vlog Matt and company. CA has some great riding/views. From my 94 FXR to my 21 FLTRK, CA riding is always a great time. Nice to have met you in person after completing the US HOG East Meets West Posse Ride. The dealership remodel looks great! All the best
Hi, Kevin Park here(orthopedist). We met at your grand opening. Sorry to see one of your riders going down, luckily he wasn't too injured. This is where I could have been a useful addition to the group😊
You’re spot on about Cali Matt. My wife & I were stationed at Camp Pendleton from ‘08-‘12, and we loved our time there. The beach, snow in the mountains, dirt bikes in the desert; any of them were within a couple hours on any given weekend. That state is so blessed with natural resources & beauty. It’s a shame the government makes it so hard to live there.
100% One of the most beautiful states in the country being destroyed by politics! Lenny McGill's Glock Store in San Diego packed up and moved to Nashville. He built a beautiful multi-million dollar store and shooting range there! So many companies and people moving out of the state. It's shocking that the voters keep electing the same politicians that are destroying the state!!!!
I live in PA and we have some great riding but i agree the Western US including CA has the best riding in the country - hands down. Plus our riding season can be limited depending on winter weather conditions. Neptunes is a bucket list for this East Coast boy. I'll get there in the next few years!
These videos at Neptune's Net never get old. Andrew is back:)) About time! Amelio, sorry about your ride bro! Semper Fi! Thank God you're safe. We can always get new "toys". Good stuff, Matt:)) as always! 💜🤍
The road gravel and general debris I see on the roads anymore are just crazy unacceptable. Glad Emilio was ok. Great video regardless Matt, these videos always make me homesick.
Great video! Sorry about the down rider, it happens to the best of us. Awesome meeting you and Mickey today! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to talk bike’s, ride’s ect.
When you put a lot of miles on as a group, sooner or later this stuff happens. Unfortunately my group has endured a couple of these incidents. Glad to see Emilio made it home safely. Semper Fi 🇺🇸 👊
Great vid I appreciate showing what the models are. I am a hwy 33 veteran. You can even check google maps for road issues. Early morning they use a huge snow plow to clear boulders and big rocks. 💪🏼
So glad the homie is good! 2 years ago my 1st night in Sturgis I tagged a deer on my LRS. Know the feeling. So glad your with the guys/gals and able to walk away! The bike will get fixed. And most importantly. "YOUR GOOD!" RIDE ON!
great video! truly what Harley Davidson is all about, good times on two wheels with great friends. i just love motorcycles! scary mishap with the rider going down, a good reminder to myself to wear my protective gear. thank goodness he wasn't more seriously injured, get well soon Emilio!
Great stuff as always, Matt. Love your channel for the pure motorcycle content with a mix of history, road trips, excellent reviews, etc. Keep up the great work!!

True, I think we are always prepared for things if they go south. We got a well-rounded crew. It could have been a lot worse. I think Emilio is just frustrated more than anything. He had minor injuries relatively speaking.
@@MattLaidlaw I have dropped bikes and hit a deer, it can for sure be a shot to your pride and it really sucks. He dealt with it better than I did! And many a really good rider have been tripped up by gravel. I carry a little first aid kit with me also. Hope his bike can be saved!
That’s the reason I carry a California license plate beside my german on my Jeep Wrangler JK. Nothing beats a lucky crowd who rides Harley’s on californias coastal HWY 1! Emilio was very lucky in the misfortune, it could have been worse. Loose gravel in a turn with a guardrail, damn nightmare… Get well soon Bro!
Great video as always. Someday I will ride the PCH be in your area once I get my new bike. It was unfortunate that Emilio went down as I know the feeling since I had my motorcycle accident almost three months ago which totaled my Road Glide Special. Haven’t ridden the 33 being up hear in sac, but I’ll make sure to gear up and watch the speed. Glad to see Emilio came out out ok. Love the videos, because if I plan a ride, I always look for one of Matt’s videos as a guide. Laidlaws is on my list of stops when I come back down to socal.
“No off-season”? Wow. Glad it’s better where you are. Out here in Indio, CA, it’s way too hot (115°+) May - October. We only ride in winter. Always wanted to ride to Neptune’s Net tho. Thanks for taking us along. Great video Matt!
Matt, dude….this video had some sizzle. I don’t know if it was the soundtrack, the riders that were with you, or the cinematography. Glad he is ok. This is a reminder to always wear full protective clothing. Even when hot. That's very important. Shock easily sets in even if you think he's ok.
Excellent content. Feel bad for the bro who went down. I rode out to LA back in June from Louisiana on my RGS for Rare Breeds 35th Anniversary. Passed by the dealership but it was after hours when we were heading to I.E.
