If I'm not mistaken, Jim Wallis is a so-called "progressive" Christian therefore not representative of evangelical Christianity.

@@5drtfygunjm No..specifically evangelicals are not anti-white racists like the so-called "progressives"..plus they acknowledge biblical sexuality (sex between a man and a woman in a marital relationship) and reject unbiblical sexuality. And they aren't Neo-Marxists :)

@@AwesomeBabyBoomer You were never born again if you rejected Christianity. There is a form of "Christianity" which claims to be Christianity. It is like the beast in Revelation that looks like a lamb in appearance but speaks like a serpent (Satan). If someone has not experienced the new birth, he is not Christian. And, if his values coincide with those of the world in regards to the most basic respects like rejection of biblical sexuality, then he is not a Christian (not born-again).

Assuming we get a 22nd Century. Maybe we won't. Too many people believe in an Eschaton for there not to be a lot if people trying to _immanentize_ their particular Eschaton. This applies mostly to ALL of the Abrahamic faiths. I don't suppose those tendencies can be tamed any more than we can tame the globe's oligarchs who have their own secular plans for an End of History, where 'You will own nothing, and be happy' ... OR ELSE.

With regard to trying to convince 'nones' that religious faith is good, it might be better to try addressing why you think religion might be true, or better than truth. After all, it's important to realize this is a discussion about the fundamental nature of reality and historically religions have done or enabled a lot of wars and weird sex stuff.

There's a lot of atheists who push the trans stuff and other forms of degeneracy. Hundreds of millions died in the name of communism in the last century, most of them by their own government. How many atheists and other secularists said to "trust the science" for an experimental medical treatment a few years ago, and now AstraZenaca is pulling their "product" because of how unsafe it is.

Wow. A lot of people get really triggered if you question or confront their faith beliefs. If your beliefs are strong, why can't they be debated/explained comfortably? I just think ot shows fear and fear and faith are opposites, right? So if you have faith, why are you afraid to debate religion or is your faith not going to hold up to that level of scrutiny? Just a little something to consider.
