I have a Bush Hog BH15 rotary cutter and love it! I sure like that Rhino you have. I’d definitely buy a Rhino. Both brands at this time (2024) are owned by Alamo.

The big selling point for me was the blade carrier. I like to be able to see the gearbox output shaft vs the doughnut arrangement on most others. Plus the metal was a bit thicker. I had an issue initially with the drive shaft but it was replaced about a month outside of the warranty at no cost. They even drop shipped it to my house! The Rhino is tough as nails and I've abused it in use. Just make sure to keep them serviced and they'll keep on tickin'. I do wish I'd opted for the 6' now that I have a slightly larger tractor though. Lesson learned.

You need a battery powered grease gun and a LockNLube grease coupler. Game changers!

Funny you should mention that! I did exactly that a few months back. Much cleaner, faster, etc etc. Works like a champ. I can't believe I waited so long to buy one!

Lubing and fluid checks are extremely important. I keep my tractor and implements in a metal barn to protect them from the elements.

@@hiddenacresoutdoors If you can't afford a barn, that's ok. I would take some old wood or what ever you have laying around and erect something that can cover your implements. I think the life expectancy will be much longer. It's worth a few dollars in lumber to protects thousands in farm equipment. Just my two cents.

      Agreed. Thanks.

Could you use blue loctite on the bolts to prevent them from loosening up?

Not sure if that would work or not. Easiest thing in retrospect would be to add a slippage mark to the bolts so you could tell at a glance if they had slipped any.

About the slip clutch.... was that after market or did it come that way? Did you adjust it or what were you saying you did?

In case I didn't answer this earlier.... Mine came as an installed option. You do have to slip them occasionally to make sure the discs haven't bonded together. It's not a big deal to do. I have another video on my site that shows how this is done.
