One quick note - I misspoke about the AV Input/Output Adapter converting a signal, it's moreso to convert the physical plug, and the output signal needs to be set in the OSSC.
I have the OSSC Pro as well and would like to get hold of an analog VGA output board, but they seem to be out of stock for now. I will probably get the 3D printed case for it while I’m at it so it looks a bit cleaner when paired with the OSSC Pro. I have a HDFury 3 so I don’t necessarily need the VGA output board, but it would be interesting to see if there is any performance difference between using the HDMI output with HDFury 3 and using the VGA output board. A big advantage with using the VGA output board is that the HDMI output will still be free for connecting to a modern screen. Do you know if the HDMI output and the VGA output on the expansion board can be active at the same time? By the way, you might want to consider covering your address before opening a package on camera. You never know what kind of people might be watching. 😅
Hey thanks for the comment, and the tip. I must've missed the address thing - it's probably obvious that I'm new to this. When I ordered my adapter, there was no option for the case, so I'm going to snag one. It's pretty gnarly looking without, plus it looks like it's stressing the connectors. The HDMI output and the Extra AV out are active at the same time, so it's great for that. I'm still fine tuning some of my settings on that front. If you email Matt at VGP, he will often tell you when to expect things to come into stock. I just made a habit of checking a couple times a week in the previous time frame he gave me.
Just stumbled upon your channel… dude yea please i need a step by step on this. I too grabbed one of these ossc pro and extra av out adaptor for downscaling modern games to sony trinitron tv’s… having a hard time working around the various settings at the moment. Lol
