iHashi Elimhlophe is the Maskandi legend, with 28 albums under his name. He started his music career as bass guitarist for the legendary Soul Brothers. They noticed his great talent and made him lead singer for their junior group, Imi tshotsho Vu. Before going solo, he performed alongside Phuz’ ekhemisi and Mfazi Omnyama as a group, and to date, no maskandi group has surpassed the success of the group…
Ma-Ngcobo on the other hand does everything, performing, motivational talking, women empowerment. She is also a legend in her own right and one of South Africa's leading female artists who carved a niche in the local music industry during the 80s and early 90s, and was bestowed the Life-Time Achievement Award.
And together they have just been awarded honorary doctrates for their contributuion to music
