As a child he was a popular TV star on various kids shows, in his teenage years he became a member of the internationaly acclaimed play and movie adaption Sarafina, and as a choreographer he has worked on global projects such as the opening ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Today he’s slaying in several lanes as part of the ensemble team on Metro FM’s Fresh Breakfast, on Idols as the judge who more than doubled their ratings after he joined and as the star of his own reality TV show; Living the Dream with Somizi.

Thanx Anele I wasn't following Somizi when growing up that much but appreciated his work and talent as our south african citizen ,but since Idols I believe I m a fan ,I luv Somizi i celebrate his work free spirit, unbreakable always making a come back i love the fact of he doesn't give up easily , he is for real,he has a sense of humour a comedian , and respect his perceptions not apologetic on how he sees things and believes in them and still acknowledge other people's perception or opinions , he has respect for other celebrities in short he is for real but coming to think of it because I was a fan of lebo mathosa I now understand they share similarities free spirit ,for real ,acknowledge their down falls chose to mature out of it and be go getters and we celebrate their victories . this are the things I admire about them. May God continue to bless them
