Oh wow! I camped right next to that with my family as a kid and fished that pier a couple of times in the mid 80's. Caught tons of those ribbonfish. Also did a lot of crabbing there. Some of my favorite memories! Hoping to make it back one of these days. Thanks for the memories!
Wow, that ribbon fish was very shimmery and shiny! I love it! I went fishing yesterday with my husband and I caught a 34" striped bass, OMGosh I loved the fight that it put up! 🙌😁🤗

I live here in Myrtle and fish in Myrtle. Brad and the bum got me started watching fishing channels. Your missing out on real amazing fishing for big 24” flounder, reds in the marshes. Tarpon down in winyah bay and bulls bay. Murrels inlets jetties are the greatest fishing this time of year. Stacked with with flounder, reds, and spotted sea trout. I wanna show you the fishing your missing out on.
i have that 10ft spear rod and i use it all the time in the surf. it has caught several 4ft+sharks and big uglies. did have to replace the reel long ago because salt water + cheap reels = replacement. But the rod is great
CMR you're exactly right! As a lifeguard of 3 years you're exactly right. If someone is panicing then the lifeguard has to proctect themselves first, then save the victim, usually unconscious, which is easier to save. We had one that was trying to drown the guard and he kept deflecting the victim trying to get on top of him until they went unconscious, then the save was made. You are so right, it's just notworth it, TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN! I know that is for roads but it pertains to beach waters too!!!!
I just hate to see these tragedies taking place constantly, and most could def be avoided. I know not always but a little common sense goes a long way when dealing with water.
Thanks for the shout out about the rip tides on the Florida panhandle beach’s. I’m in Navarre and see people in the water on double red flag days all the time. How do we educate tourists… I wish I knew. Great video.
@@jeffprovost664 its hard, they have to know to see the posts. We has to self eduacate when we first got here. But with our background we knew ahead of time. Again its hard to educate those who dont know.
I started watching the video and was really enjoying it until I seen my grandbaby in a fricken helicopter. After I threw up and seen Landon was safely on the ground I did enjoy the rest of the video. PYT knows she doesn’t show or tell her momma anything adventurous until AFTER the adventure….❤. I’m soooo happy Eugene had an awesome Independence Day!!🇺🇸🇺🇸

Fished that pier several times. Hooked a lot of spinner sharks off it. Amazed me you could see sharks and people all together.
