Re: allergies - you were brilliant on the headboard selection 👍🏻 People with allergies should never have upholstered or fabric or rattan headboards (ah-choo!). I feel your pain. I’ve been tested and I’m allergic to EVERYTHING except some mold and some dogs. 🤷🏻♀ Couple of helpful hints - cleaning & dusting are real nose irritants, so using a saline nasal spray during/afterwards makes a big diff for me. A few snorts and some nose-blowing will kick out some of those irritants. Air filters may help. Another odd assist is burning a beeswax candle (or 3). It doesn’t matter what you put out. I’m here for it 😊. You are one of the most genuine UA-camrs I’ve seen. You are kind and thoughtful. We all have tones and people from my generation don’t get butt hurt over everything. So stay you. 😊
15yr former professional carpet cleaner here. When cleaning your own carpets, it's best to limit the use of cleaning chemicals. Most likely, you've overloaded the carpets with cleaner and the cleaner is causing soil to build up. To rectify this, clean with extremely hot water (closest to boiling water as you can) and some white vinegar. Making sure to double "extract" after every wet pass. When finished cleaning, you should be extracting as much moisture as possible. ❤ your videos Lynn!
@@mrslynnwhite for urine, mix few drops of dish soap with water and dilute the spot. Use dry towel and soak up as much moisture as possible. Repeat as necessary. Then use liberal amount of baking soda on spot, pressing into fibers, let sit until dry then vacuume up. This will help eliminate orders. For solids, remove solid mess first, try not to rub into fibers. Use a very wet rag to blot out as much leftover solids as you can, then repeat same method as urine removal. If staining remains, use small amount of preferred carpet spot remover and wet rag (spraying center of spot at least couple inches away from fibers, cleaning your way out wards in circular motion) Make sure to rinse cleaner out thoroughly and towel dry before baking soda. Pressure washing has a risk of completely damaging natural fibers and/or "browning out" synthetic fibers if not dried quickly and under direct sunlight. Also run the risk of delamination, bleeding or shrinkage.
Just a bit of advice when cleaning carpets do not use a lot of shampoo. Unless your going to do a few cleanings with just water after the initial cleaning. Otherwise your leaving shampoo in the carpet which attracts dirt. My husband was a custodian. Just a little bit to help in the future 😊
Hope you’re having a great Friday Lynn❤ I would highly recommend using black trash bags when decluttering so that you don’t want to look in the bags after and bring back old memories
Firstly Lynn, praying for you that you feel better soon 🙏🙏🙏 make sure you rest as much as possible. Sometimes the house gets away from me as I work full time and weekends are only time I get to clean , sometimes it’s a little overwhelming, but thankful when my mum offers to help me. 💜
Hi Lynne just a handy tip if you don’t buy so much stuff you wouldn’t have to be decluttering all the time. I’ve learnt that. If you receive items you don’t want don’t open the packages you can then donate to charity shops and then they can sell them for a great price. It’s sold as new. Housework is a never ending job. It’s almost like we do it in vain.
Hi Lynn, we are a “mostly” shoe free house. I have noticed when I clean my rugs doing a pure water “rinse” a couple of times really gets a ton of dirt up, but also seems to keep the rug cleaner longer. I feel like the cleaner may attract dirt if not rinsed. Thanks for the motivating videos!!
Loved this video, I needed some motivation to deep clean my casa. I'm having knee surgery soon and a couple of girlfriends are staying with me . Yikes I want the house to be spit spot clean. They could care less I'm sure but you know it's important to me. Thanks for the shot in the arm. 😂
our family has outside shoes and indoor slippers and slip on shoes cause sometimes you just need to wear shoes inside. So we never use our inside shoes outdoors ever. Also we clean our indoor shoes often. It does help.
You are so sweet. I don't know you personally but I know you are a sweet loving person and always think of others. You keep it real. It's real life. Thats why I love your videos! I'm so thankful I found them. You make my day! God bless you and your beautiful family! Pray you feel better.❤
Your question about home carpet machine vs professional. My parents owned (& I worked for them for many years) a professional carpet cleaning business & In my opinion, there are 3 differences. 1. suction (water extraction) 2. the water temperature and 3 the soap. If you do decide to go with a professional make sure they use "hot water extraction" NOT a buffing system. I like ServePro cleaners. On home machines though, Read the manufactures cleaning directions first but most, not all, but most carpets can be cleaned with hot water. When I say hot water I mean boiling. I clean our carpets with a machine like yours & I first get 2 big stew pots, fill with water & get them boiling. I continue setting up my machine this is where I add my soap. I use my laundry detergent but only a teaspoon for each time I add new water to the machine. It is VERY important not to use too much. Less is more usually. I make my own from this video. I don't know her or have any affiliation but I have been making mine with all these items but I like how she mixes the ingredients. ua-cam.com/video/dXHOfLFhMQI/v-deo.htmlsi=bZnbW1vuZFe_QzHC Lastly, it is VERY important to get as much water out of the carpet as possible. When finished cleaning your rugs they should not be wet, wet. Just slightly damp. I hope this helps. Love your video Hugs. ~Samantha
As someone who was a professional carpet cleaner for 15yrs, I agree with this comment as far as pressure, temperature, suction, and carpet solution goes. But I would say, for your home carpet cleaner, I would never use laundry detergent on carpets, rugs or upholstery as laundry detergent has "brighteners", which can cause a bleaching effect, PLUS if not rinsed and extracted thoroughly, will cause dirt to stick, and when walked on, will eventually destroy the fibers making permanent dark areas where you walk most.
I was raised to remove my shoes at the door and still doing it at my house and someone else's house also, keeps the floors clean a bit longer. Love your channel you are so authentic and straightforward, what I like to watch.😊❤
Your husband did an awesome job creating a wall for the boys bedroom, have you thought of doing the same thing for the laundry room and turning that into a proper room??? Thanks for taking the time to share your videos, I think you are awesome, love your chattiness, your house is looking amazing!!!
When it comes to shampooing your rugs or your carpets, get out your beast of a Kirby and vacuum it over and over and over and over again. The more you vacuum it, the less dirt there will be to come out in the shampooer. That’s what a carpet guy told my mom. And he was right!

A few years ago, I begged for and received a Bissell Big Green machine for my 15th anniversary. It's like the Rug Dr - you can rent it at some stores. Gets my carpets and rugs so clean. I think it was $100 or more off on black Friday that year...... 😊
Please make sure on the 360 cups that you remove and clean the little rubber gasket on the bottom of the white top. It is a clear little ring as well. It is at the top of the rings where the cup screws together.
Also!!!! Just because I worked at serve pro, and I know things were done a bit differently. When we would do carpet cleanings, we would go in and wash the carpet with the cleaner and the machine. But we would come in with an extractor which was separate from the machine that used the cleaner and brushes to move around and lift all the dirt. And honestly, the ones you rent from Lowe's or Walmart like the rug doctor and Bissell cleaners. I feel like theirs suction works Better sometimes than regular home carpets, but yours seems to be working really great.
Hi Lynn good to See you, hope you feel better also you should be wearing a mask & Spray Each Room down with Lysol, also get Some Rest take Care God Bless! 🙏🤍💙
Hey Lynn saw your video. One thing I wanted to mention about the pro cleaners. The reason it probably costs so much was because you added the bio clean, what ever that means.
Hi Lynn we never ever wear shoes in the house I don’t want all the out door mess on my carpets.iv no pets so I don’t have that mess.i do clean my carpet but to be fare they are never that bad and I always use the machine recommend product because I fine it works great..lovely motivational video.❤❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Carpet cleaning- power wash a large enough spot of concrete outside. You can rent a floor cleaner that goes round and round, works best , Will need a rubber squeegee, not black, and a scrub brush. Dior rug with soap and water and brush brush squeeze squeegee rents rents, and do it all over again about four or five times, if you got the spinner, spin, soapy, water, and go back with the brush and rinse, rinse, run, squeegee, squeegee, squeegee, rinse rinse rents until it runs clear
We have shoes that are only worn inside and never outside. Mostly just a really good cushion sandal slide or flip flop for summer and cozy slippers for fall and winter. Works for us. I don’t ask guests to remove their shoes but I’ve talked about us not wearing outside shoes in our home for so long that people just automatically take theirs off when they come to our house 😂
Try Vanish Pink Liquid Color Bleach Free Stain Remover 925ML. It’s a pink bottle. I use it all the time for my rugs and sofas. It’s game changer 💪🏻🤩❤️🥳
If you put coverif you put pillow protectors on your bed you need to use the waterproof zipper ones in order for them to really work I have tried the other ones and they don't work also I use the same for mattress zipper waterproof
Don’t forget to take the clear rubber seal off of those sippy cups too (on the white top). Milk & stuff gets stuck behind that part too! They always have too many moving parts on those things lol
Some people have large purses and shove everything into them maybe you could Declutter your purse or bag whatever you tote around with you get rid of things out of your purse is what I’m saying❤

You can rent a floor cleaner that goes round and round, works best ,
Will need a rubber squeegee, not black, and a scrub brush.
Lynn, you are so amazing. If I had Covid, I certainly wouldn’t be doing a big clean & declutter in my bathroom. If’ be in bed❣️
Try Vanish Pink Liquid Color Bleach Free Stain Remover 925ML. It’s a pink bottle. I use it all the time for my rugs and sofas. It’s game changer 💪🏻🤩❤️🥳
After seeing all those non spill sippy cups getting ripped or moldy I switched to the ikea ones. Six years later they still look great(3 kids)
If you put coverif you put pillow protectors on your bed you need to use the waterproof zipper ones in order for them to really work I have tried the other ones and they don't work also I use the same for mattress zipper waterproof
We wear shoes and have a wheelchair user, switched to hard floors, no carpet or rugs, years ago but with pets you still need to vaccum daily or more😢
Don’t forget to take the clear rubber seal off of those sippy cups too (on the white top). Milk & stuff gets stuck behind that part too! They always have too many moving parts on those things lol
Thanks for the tip! I''ll do that.
How have you organized your pantry? Would like to see a clog on it
I would actually deep clean these rugs outside.
❤️👏🏼
Some people have large purses and shove everything into them maybe you could Declutter your purse or bag whatever you tote around with you get rid of things out of your purse is what I’m saying❤
