Then he wore a shirt with a very wide neckhole, with no more gloves. You could track the progression of his and Rey's relationship with how much skin he was showing. It indicated the amount of vulnerability he was allowing Rey to see.

When you know Ben's upbringing, it's very amazing that he's able to love Rey so much. It's almost a miracle. And Ben saves Rey as much as she saves him. Ben says several times to Rey : "Let the past die. Let go !" because he saw that Rey was wasting her life waiting for her dead parents. He wakes her up as much as she wakes him up. Even if Ben's words make Rey suffer, they're true. Ben is honest with her. Since he is the man of her life, he unknowingly awakens the Force in Rey when he questions her for the first time. I see most comments are from women, so from a male perspective I applaud your Reylo videos. They are touching and beautifully done. They truly capture the essence of the complex relationship that "Ben" and Rey built over the span of the three films. It shows that Ben still had some semblance of input or control, despite Kylo Ren trying to be the dominant persona due to the dark side contamination. Although the "Happy Ending" would have satisfied many a viewer, the ending as it happened is much more powerful as it elicits strong feelings associated with the sacrifice of a redeemed tragic character. It invalidates many of the criticisms related to the lack of character development, as it is clear that viewers were quite invested in the character of Ben Solo and his inner struggles with Kylo Ren and his interactions with and feelings for Rey, his Father and his Mother. If just for the Reylo dynamic, I give this film a grade of "A".
I wholeheartedly agree. Even thought I'm a sucker and lover of happy endings for me his sacrifice means more it the grande scheme and overall theme of all the Skywalker Saga movies.

On one hand, I agree. On the other, I can’t agree on the grounds that his death didn’t fix anything. It would have been far kinder to Rey for them to have died together. And given the repeated theme in Ben’s life that he had little to no agency, his death just adds one more insult to the nonstop abuse that was his life. We never get to see what he’d do if left to his own devices. Hux at least was free to make his own choices, horrible as they were. Rey’s always been independent enough to make her own choices. And the whole thing of treating characters who turn to the Dark Side as if they’re suddenly completely different people irritates me. It’s not Dissociative Identity Disorder. I think, if anything, the lesson we learn from Ben’s redemption is that our past never dies. It’s always alive, informing our present choices. He turned because he believed he had no alternative. He turned back because Rey and Leia showed him that the Light Side still had a place for him after all. Tbh, Ben is the only character in the ST to have any significant, mostly consistent character development at all. RoS erases some of it, just like it does almost all of Finn’s and Poe’s character development. Rey only ever developed in relation to Ben. The ST is very strongly Ben’s story more than anything else.

I saw this films 2,5 weeks ago, and I'm still said. I saw star wars the first time when I was 6 years old. After every Star Wars film I was looking forward to see the next one. This time something changed...I´m very dissapoionted... Rey should at least say to the forest ghost Leia "Ben saved me, he's a Jedi now.....I can feel him.... where is Ben .... he dissappeard.... it fells like a part of me is far away. I miss him..." Then Leia could say "Do you love him?" If Palpatine can return? Why not Ben solo? I mean it why the hell not? What if Rey and Bens Dyad in the force is so powerful that there could be a way to bring him back? I mean come on.... It was so beautiful 😭 seriously so precious and heart felt... Ben deserved to get a happy ending with Rey. He did finish what his grandfather started. He helped defeat Palpatine who was who corrupted Anakin and begun the first order, killed supreme leader Snoke. He deserved it. And Rey she deserved to be with someone who loved her , like Ben did. We all wanted him to live but who in the whole galaxy would accept him after all he's done? They'd even consider Rey as a traitor in spite of everything. But what we gotta understand is that in that very moment Ben gave his life to her because she was dead, he brought her back to life not minding his own. For me this was the true rise of Skywalker when Ben honoured his family's name with his final fight and reasons and most of all when he did what he did for Rey. Ben was a Skywalker (sure, even when his surname were Solo) and that makes me believe that Rey has chosen this family's name for herself not only because of Leia and Luke but also because of who she'd be if they could have stand together. 💕 (Forgive me for eventual mistakes, I'm from Brazil 😊🇧🇷)
There's a theory that I love and have accepted as canon. Ben "died" in Exegol, which is part of the world between worlds (life and death). That's why Ben's body disappeared but he didn't come back as a force ghost. Rey can bring him back from the world between worlds because they're a force dyad. He can't be completely dead when Rey isn't because of the dyad, both are either living or dead. So Rey's gonna bring him back. Rey :"Yes" Leia: "There is a chance to bring him back...it`s not going to be easy, cause his in the world between worlds...but people who are in love will always find a way...." this ending would be much better. There would be at least HOPE!!!!!!
To everyone coming here after Ben Solos death..... Why didn’t he show up as a force ghost at the end? Why did Rey seem happy after Ben “died?” Well here I am to propose a theory..... If Palpatine can return? Why not Ben solo? I mean it why the hell not? What if Rey and Bens Dyad in the force is so powerful that there could be a way to bring him back? I mean come on.... That would make a good tv series or stand alone film. SUPER corny I know.... But just a theory. I don’t think it’s been done before where they bring a character back to life through a force dyad. Worth a shot? I would forgive Disney for the shit show of a trilogy and massive waste of potential with certain characters they brought forth, if they did this.

it is revealed by a creator of TROS that rey goes to Tatooine to bury Luke and Leia's lightsabers, and doesn't stay there.
It was so beautiful 😭 seriously so precious and heart felt... Ben deserved to get a happy ending with Rey. He did finish what his grandfather started. He helped defeat Palpatine who was who corrupted Anakin and begun the first order, killed supreme leader Snoke. He deserved it. And Rey she deserved to be with someone who loved her , like Ben did. Ben turned from everything he build as Kylo Ren. She finally had someone to build something with.

Why! Why?! Made that scene then. Why repeat over and over that Rey needed a family if you were going to leave her abandoned and just as alone as she begun this sequels.
The movie should have ended with leia dying and Ben coming back to life. Makes sense. Let the past died allow a new dawn to begin.
Ben and Rey forever. I don’t give three shots about the mediocre ending they gave us. In my ending Ben and Rey are married with babes. They were meant to be the difference from all the potential beautiful couples that had tragic endings cause Disney and Lucas are mother f ing Emos.

We all wanted him to live but who in the whole galaxy would accept him after all he's done? They'd even consider Rey as a traitor in spite of everything. But what we gotta understand is that in that very moment Ben gave his life to her because she was dead, he brought her back to life not minding his own. For me this was the true rise of Skywalker when Ben honoured his family's name with his final fight and reasons and most of all when he did what he did for Rey.
Ben was a Skywalker (sure, even when his surname were Solo) and that makes me believe that Rey has chosen this family's name for herself not only because of Leia and Luke but also because of who she'd be if they could have stand together. 💕

There's a theory that I love and have accepted as canon. Ben "died" in Exegol, which is part of the world between worlds (life and death). That's why Ben's body disappeared but he didn't come back as a force ghost. Rey can bring him back from the world between worlds because they're a force dyad. He can't be completely dead when Rey isn't because of the dyad, both are either living or dead. So Rey's gonna bring him back.
