The Sequel Trilogy could have focused almost entirely on this whole Force Dyad thing at it would have been such an amazing and epic love story! Why all the side quests and not soo memorable characters is just beyond me! Such opportunity lost for the ST. Long live Ben Solo.
The only thing I focused on was Rey and Ben's stories. The other characters are indeed forgettable.

There's a theory that I have accepted as canon. Ben "died" in Exegol, which is part of the world between worlds (life and death). That's why Ben's body disappeared but he didn't come back as a force ghost. Rey can bring him back from the world between worlds because they're a force dyad. He can't be completely dead when Rey isn't because of the dyad, both are either living or dead. So Rey's gonna bring him back. wow-can this be an alternate ending. Ive watched this 3 times in a row. BEST.EDIT.EVER. I knew before I saw the last scene Ben would die but it was sooo awkward. This is so much much more satisfying than the Tatooine sunset.

Seriously though this. This is beautiful. I hope all the rumors are true and we get to see Ben again even if it's in a animated version. I don't know wtf JJ Abrams was thinking but Ben and Rey deserve better. All the anti reylos can just stfu because it's canon and even before she actually met him he was there in the vision killing someone that meant her harm. If they couldn't see it after TFA then they are blind. Each trilogy in this Saga has a love story. This was Ben and Rey's and JJ did them dirty. He should be ashamed of himself.

All the people complaining that Ben died, what were you thinking was going to happen? he killed BILLIONS of people, he had to pay for this even if he was redeemed.. This was his sacrifice, his redemption, his choice, why would you want to take that away from him?
@Sora Cicero Are you kidding? He fought on the side that activated Starkiller base, in fact he was a leader of that side , he was fighting the people there to stop it from firing again.. These were all CHOICES he made, no one else made for him.. He Slaughtered a school of Jedi with his knights (yeah he did do that), the man is a war criminal plain and simple.. To defend that, and suggest he should get to live some happy life because he made a couple of good choices in the end is absurd. In our world he would be a war criminal.. If you don't believe me read about the 90 something year old Nazi they just arrested hiding in New York.

Daniel Fedor sad there’s actually an official comic titles “Rise of Kylo Ren” that explains his darkness spiral. The destroying of the Jedi school was a set up, Ben didn’t do it. It was to isolate him. He was abused by the space equivalent of a Devil all his life, so seeing his character redeemed through love and brought back from the pit of hell is amazing. 😊❤️💙 I won’t argue that he made choices but they were influenced by great darkness. Ben was under there screaming to get out. 🤷🏼♀️
@@lindaspunk If you think about it the idea of him surviving and him and Rey going on the run to protect him based on the fact that the darkness absorbed him is far more isolating and unhappy for them.. It wouldn't make sense.The resistance couldn't forgive him just as his the Rebel Alliance couldn't forgive Vader.. Yeah the darkness that consumed them, but dark choices led them down that path. No one ever turns to the dark side unwillingly..If you read the canon novels Luke was faced with the same choices, he made some wrong ones, but he didn't let the dark side consume him. Leia less so.. She had way more conviction to the light than Luke in the canon and not canon alike.
Daniel Fedor it’s far more interesting if we would have seen him cope with all that Kylo Ren had done. Them going into hiding while Ben realizes that he needs to come to terms with what he did and turn himself in would have been far more satisfying 👌🏻❤️ I’m a romantic 🤷🏼♀️ forgive me for wanting more character development. 😆

When he came with just that black t-shirt and some pants, it changed his whole appearance, it was just Ben
His costume design was great from the start to the end.
When we and Rey first met him, he hid away every inch of his skin. Then we got a face reveal. Then the turtleneck was gone and we saw his neck. (Then the shirt and the gloves were temporarily gone, when he was being intimate with Rey. Then he covered himself fully again, rejected by Rey.) Then he wore a shirt with a very wide neckhole, with no more gloves.
You could track the progression of his and Rey's relationship with how much skin he was showing. It indicated the amount of vulnerability he was allowing Rey to see.

To everyone coming here after Ben Solos death..... Why didn’t he show up as a force ghost at the end? Why did Rey seem happy after Ben “died?” Well here I am to propose a theory..... If Palpatine can return? Why not Ben solo? I mean it why the hell not? What if Rey and Bens Dyad in the force is so powerful that there could be a way to bring him back? I mean come on.... That would make a good tv series or stand alone film. SUPER corny I know.... But just a theory. I don’t think it’s been done before where they bring a character back to life through a force dyad. Worth a shot? I would forgive Disney for the shit show of a trilogy and massive waste of potential with certain characters they brought forth, if they did this.

Ben Solo wasn't used to flirting with girls. When he was young, Ben was raised by nannies droids (Han and Leia were often absent). Then Ben was raised by Luke, and finally by Snoke.
It didn't teach him tact, which is why his declaration of love seems shocking. But you can feel Ben loves really Rey. When you know Ben's upbringing, it's very amazing that he's able to love Rey so much. It's almost a miracle.
And Ben saves Rey as much as she saves him. Ben says several times to Rey : "Let the past die. Let go !" because he saw that Rey was wasting her life waiting for her dead parents. He wakes her up as much as she wakes him up. Even if Ben's words make Rey suffer, they're true. Ben is honest with her.
Since he is the man of her life, he unknowingly awakens the Force in Rey when he questions her for the first time. The prince awakens the princess in several ways.
I think Reylo is the most beautiful couple of all Star Wars. Beauty and the Beast in the stars ! It is also a mixture of Romeo and Juliet, Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice.
I hope that Ben is not really dead, and that Rey will find him because they were created to be together. They are soul mates in the Force, for worse and now for better.

I see most comments are from women, so from a male perspective I applaud your Reylo videos. They are touching and beautifully done. They truly capture the essence of the complex relationship that "Ben" and Rey built over the span of the three films. It shows that Ben still had some semblance of input or control, despite Kylo Ren trying to be the dominant persona due to the dark side contamination. Although the "Happy Ending" would have satisfied many a viewer, the ending as it happened is much more powerful as it elicits strong feelings associated with the sacrifice of a redeemed tragic character. It invalidates many of the criticisms related to the lack of character development, as it is clear that viewers were quite invested in the character of Ben Solo and his inner struggles with Kylo Ren and his interactions with and feelings for Rey, his Father and his Mother. If just for the Reylo dynamic, I give this film a grade of "A".
I wholeheartedly agree. Even thought I'm a sucker and lover of happy endings for me his sacrifice means more it the grande scheme and overall theme of all the Skywalker Saga movies.
Rick DelRosario have to agree although i hate to see him die. But it makes more powerful ending (for him to die sacrificing himself for better good/rey) At least people who said he is child showing tantrum and selfish wld hv to take back their words
On one hand, I agree. On the other, I can’t agree on the grounds that his death didn’t fix anything. It would have been far kinder to Rey for them to have died together. And given the repeated theme in Ben’s life that he had little to no agency, his death just adds one more insult to the nonstop abuse that was his life. We never get to see what he’d do if left to his own devices. Hux at least was free to make his own choices, horrible as they were. Rey’s always been independent enough to make her own choices.
And the whole thing of treating characters who turn to the Dark Side as if they’re suddenly completely different people irritates me. It’s not Dissociative Identity Disorder. I think, if anything, the lesson we learn from Ben’s redemption is that our past never dies. It’s always alive, informing our present choices. He turned because he believed he had no alternative. He turned back because Rey and Leia showed him that the Light Side still had a place for him after all. Tbh, Ben is the only character in the ST to have any significant, mostly consistent character development at all. RoS erases some of it, just like it does almost all of Finn’s and Poe’s character development. Rey only ever developed in relation to Ben. The ST is very strongly Ben’s story more than anything else.

I saw this films 2,5 weeks ago, and I'm still said. I saw star wars the first time when I was 6 years old. After every Star Wars film I was looking forward to see the next one. This time something changed...I´m very dissapoionted... Rey should at least say to the forest ghost Leia "Ben saved me, he's a Jedi now.....I can feel him.... where is Ben .... he dissappeard.... it fells like a part of me is far away. I miss him..." Then Leia could say "Do you love him?" Rey :"Yes" Leia: "There is a chance to bring him back...it`s not going to be easy, cause his in the world between worlds...but people who are in love will always find a way...." this ending would be much better. There would be at least HOPE!!!!!!
It was so beautiful 😭 seriously so precious and heart felt... Ben deserved to get a happy ending with Rey. He did finish what his grandfather started. He helped defeat Palpatine who was who corrupted Anakin and begun the first order, killed supreme leader Snoke. He deserved it. And Rey she deserved to be with someone who loved her , like Ben did. Ben turned from everything he build as Kylo Ren. She finally had someone to build something with.

We all wanted him to live but who in the whole galaxy would accept him after all he's done? They'd even consider Rey as a traitor in spite of everything. But what we gotta understand is that in that very moment Ben gave his life to her because she was dead, he brought her back to life not minding his own. For me this was the true rise of Skywalker when Ben honoured his family's name with his final fight and reasons and most of all when he did what he did for Rey.
Ben was a Skywalker (sure, even when his surname were Solo) and that makes me believe that Rey has chosen this family's name for herself not only because of Leia and Luke but also because of who she'd be if they could have stand together. 💕

I would like to believe that they left certain things open ended (lack of a force ghost, Leia didn't vanish until Ben died) so that there can be the possibility of bringing him back. The story feels so incomplete with the ending they gave it.

I think Rey should’ve accepted Ben’s hand in the Last Jedi. And Finn should’ve discovered he’s a Force User too. Rey would have a new trainer in Ben and Finn would be trained by Leia. They wasted so much potential!!!
I feel like the original song (with a female voice) would have been more appropriate because the lyrics work better from Rey’s perspective, given Ben’s death. But it was still a touching video.

1) Don't you think at least one of Skywalker family deserved happy ending? Anakin died for saving his son and destroy Palpatine which he failed. He only slow him down.
Luke also died. Leia died. So Ben is last Skywalker and he also had to died? I know this should be the movie closing Skywalker line, but Star Wars (movies) is Skywalker. And with Ben you also killed any chance for any continuing. he died for his love and he didn't even get the chance to be with her?
2) My main obsession is Reylo so is there any kind of Alternative happy ending for them? And if it is will be on DVD/BD when it will be released in April?
3) On the end when Rey become Skywalker after she sees Luke and Leia as a force ghosts where was Ben?

Seriously now. Star Wars is here for almost fourty five years and is a big part of my life. And not just my life, but also milions of fans all around the globe. It connects us in most amazing way and helps us leave this some times bad reality and live in something different, something better. In a dream world where we all can be anyone we want to be. I can't imagine how stressfull and pressing is to create movie like that it's agreat deal of responsibility, but there is always a path for preservation hope and a future. In some article I read you're not good with endings, but that doesn't mean you have to do it all alone. Maybe I will send also a request to fanmail address and I will be hoping you will receive it and answer it, because hope will always die last.
