I'm glad you adopted it out to somebody that is putting it back on the road. that is where bugs are happiest. my driving a 73 bug everyday, I'm not at all biased.
Pretty solid where it counts, as the rusted areas are pretty typical, just my opinion, but would be nice to see a frame-off full restoration! Yes, I learned to drive on my father's '59 Micorbus, and recently sold my original '68 1500 single port Bug! Thanks for all the updates on Bahama Blue Beetle, AUSFAHRTEN ALLES GUTE! 👍
Somebody must sell those interior panels/sections as units that can be welded in somehow. My Dad gave up on Beetles in the early 80s when he was putting patches on his previous patches. Just no way to stay ahead of the rust, but then these were built as disposable cheap cars. Good luck to the new owner!
Have you figured out what to put in its place?, you've got a parking space with nothing in it!. Do you need to buy another car to fill the "empty" space?.
Wishing that dear beetle a better life in more capable hands🎉🎉

Came for the cars, staying for Stella.😎
Great next life. I did my driving test in one of these in 1972, I passed first time!
Cathartic, isn't it? Good job holding to your goals!

I believe you can still buy the whole chassis for these, and it would be the way to go with this one I think!
$1400 was probably pretty close to the sales price when it was new.
That would be easy to replace the starter on!
How about the microcar show, any updates?
Fare thee well lil Bug! Hope to see ya again fixed up!
Wise move.
When will you work on that old mazda on your lot ? its a rare desireable model.
Ahhh, that solid thunk when you slam the door of a beetle!
😢😢
its easier to replace floor pans and heater channels with the cab off.
Pretty sure that colour in UK and Europe was called Marina Blue
Like your micro car
