this was my "fight" song, chosen by my son while fighting cancer. I listened to it while enduring radiation and chemo. It holds a special place in my heart and has lifted me up many many times!
Remember when you were stuck watching PBS Kids after school cause you had no cable and Arthur was the best show on TV? lmao that was the life. Edited Jan 18, 2021: Honestly I went outside most of the time.
Yess it was pbs every day in my household lol. Except for that one year where we accidentally had free cable and I got to watch nickelodeon and cartoon network.
Chance is extremely unique .His style, his voice, his music etc. There's more to his music then just rapping or having fun. This dude is very inspiring and talented. I love Chance the rapper.
i don't know why but whenever I hear this song, i get a feeling of nostalgia. yes I know that this is the theme song to Arthur, but it feels more to me. it kind of resonates with me because it feels like one of those songs that you hear when your feeling down. It is one of those songs that you listen to when your life has no other alternative and you feel like everything is over (you don't have to in these instances but it comes off as that to me). This song is the light at the end of the tunnel in a sense for it gives you a sense of hope and a sense of enlightenment after listening to it. So, Chance, The Rapper, Wyclef, Jessie Ware, Elle Varner, Eryn Allen Kane, Francis And The Lights, Nico Segal, The O'Mys, and anybody I forgot, thank you for making everything seem ok now. (This is my opinion so you don't have to say I'm wrong because I'm right in my mind).
Ziggy Marley wrote this song (obviously not this version) and I find that a lot of his stuff has that bright, peaceful, nirvana type feel to it. When people love music, they put that love into the music they make and send it out to the rest of the world. And that, my friend, is what some people call magic... I swear I'm not high right now.
I completely agree with both you. Especially if you're going through a rough time, songs like this can be a light at the end of the tunnel for people like me. It's like another world, something new.... I'm not high either.
Even if you were high, your comments would still be just as credible. You are just as much of a human being, if not more, then you would be sober. I agree with each of you. This song is pure inspiration. Why isn't everyday wonderful? It makes me think and ask myself questions like this as well as the rest of his music. You all sound seem like intellectual beings who just want peace in the world. This song brought me back to my childhood. To a day when I brought my Arthur doll everywhere I went and felt no remorse or judgment for it. But your comments helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Where does that peace of mind go? It was painted over by social standards. We have the power to bring it back. Lets make everyday wonderful for everyone. Lets start the next generation.
He even says its a simple message. Listen. He's calling out to a whole generation. The next generation. Everyday can be wonderful...why isn't it? Everyone has an original point of view. Yet we criticize people for being original. Instead of pointing out what we are told to be negative, lets admire those beings for what they are: a piece to the puzzle that is the answer. Lets not only acknowledge that everyday can be wonderful, lets make everyday wonderful.
How do people hate this?? It's so happy and invigorating, not to mention the nostalgia of watching Arthur. He captured Ziggy Marley's tone in the original song perfectly.
MAAAAAAAN anybody who can't appreciate some like...uplifting feel good positive tunes really needs to stop living in that box. It's okay for music to make you happy fam.
Remember Chance isn't just doing this by himself. remember the man on the keys, the man on the drums, the man on the bass, the man on the trumpet, the studio engineers and everyone else.
This is so absurdly good it's unreal. Hearing this the first time p much changed my life and I almost cried. Most of the people talking shit up here are like 14 years old and don't even know what Arthur is. This song is nostalgic and beautiful.
shit gives me goosebumps and gets tears in my eyes by the time we get to the end... such a great song Chance and his movement are going to do great things
swear you have to sit down and listen to the lyrics to appreciate this song so much more. also the fact he gathered all of these ppl up and recreated the arthur theme into something so magnificent is insane, props to chance and i cannot wait for the social experiment album to drop!
Arthur used to be my favourite show as a kid. and as i grew older, one of my favourite rapper/singer is chance the rapper. Two of my favourite things combine. sick as
right..this song could have been a whole 3 min longer.. after he started the Arthur intro, shit would have been dope.... not taking anything away from Chance!!
This is my shit. I get the message on how cluttered the beat is at first then at the end the meaning gets clear. Chance did that. He came, turned around a song to make such a statement. I love it!!
I remember when he played this at the Warfield in SF before the song was released. They got into it and my dudes and I were like damn this sound so familiar, and when I realized it was the Arthur theme song we all lost our shit. So fucking magical man
Chance really makes Unique music like every song is different. That's why I like him. He's Different from everyone else, he's a good artist. Keep it up Chance (: this sends me In a happy mood making me want to chase my goals lol.
For those who don't recognize the true artistic beauty of this song, I am very sorry. This song shows Chance's true versatility. What an amazing song, made by an even more amazing artist.
Ik this is supposed to put you in a happy mood but i always feel a sense of emptiness when i reminisce on what i lost. Only Chance, Kendrick, and Cole puts me so deep in moods.
Imma keep it real, if you dont like this, you dont like real music.I know people are gonna read this comment and argue that they listen to all "real" hip hop, but real hip hop is when the artist portrays real life issues. Whether those issues be social, political, or even their personal issues. Chance does alot of soulful hip hop, and this cover fits who he is and what he represents. So for the people who dont like the way he covered this song, you must not like chance because this is him. This is Chance the Rapper ..
Just keep it real this song has the most sentiment out of any chance song. If you watch him preform it,he just wants to transform us all into positive people. Thank you chance, you got me.
The moment first heard this! was like dann not only he is insanely good artist but he messes with favorite all time kid show... WHATTT! i gotta thank chance only person who would ever make something like this... he is raising the bar high for himself... No Artist has uniqueness that he has no artist can make a mixtape like ACiD RAP &10day no one can preform like him... I am he really glad he toured with childish gambino otherwise i probably wouldn't know who he is and he wouldn't be my favorite right now
This is such a great song to listen to when you are feeling lost. If you watched Arthur growing up and read the books then this song is just going to make your heart feel great! When I was little I would listen to this song and think yeah! This is so true, gonna have a great day, gonna go to school, play, do this and that. Now it is sad that me and my friends have to make a concentrated effort to remind ourselves feel this way! So basically...this song makes me feel hopeful!
I was just listening to the theme song and this came and it's now like a song that I have on replay but if you grew up watching PBS Kids Arthur was one of the best shows on their and the theme song is really catchy I singing everyday going outside for recess
When I heard Chance add his own flavor to this song, I knew he was real. Who else can remix the theme song of Arthur and make it sound this good? Kudos to you, Chance! He is my guy!
Did y'all not have a childhood or something? Lmao why all the hate it's like the most non violent good natured song from a kid's cartoon and you're still like why don't this slap I hate this lol. This is why chance in my top 5 he's relatable. who else do you know with this much talent that can go off on a tangent and cover the Arthur theme song and still make it sound good.
this was my "fight" song, chosen by my son while fighting cancer. I listened to it while enduring radiation and chemo. It holds a special place in my heart and has lifted me up many many times!
That is so sweet!
How you doing now buddy? You still with the family?
Remember when you were stuck watching PBS Kids after school cause you had no cable and Arthur was the best show on TV? lmao that was the life.

"Get along, get along with each other." I really wish it would be that simple.
Fuck offffffttff
Be the change you want to see in the world. It really can be that simple.
+Deven Aldridge The sad thing is, that it is that simple, but there are those who maliciously don't want to.
I mean just don't get into shit and don't do anything malicious to others and it is that easy.
Deven Aldridge I was the 100th like! I don't care if this comment is 2 years old I felt the need to mention that 😂😂
Chance is extremely unique .His style, his voice, his music etc. There's more to his music then just rapping or having fun. This dude is very inspiring and talented. I love Chance the rapper.

That's a really beautiful thought. I feel a similar way. Thanks for sharing.
I don't think anyone listening to this song disagrees with you opinion... in my opinion
He even says its a simple message. Listen. He's calling out to a whole generation. The next generation. Everyday can be wonderful...why isn't it? Everyone has an original point of view.
