I have had my SA-400 in perfect condition since the early 70's but it stopped working and I haven't opened it up yet but your video is amazingly timely to my situation. Wanted to let you know your video work is appreciated. I also have an old Sansui amp with similar problem I want to keep and feel I can troubleshoot and fix as well. So thanks!
I'm having a issue with my technics sa 1000 The adjustment for the (-B) voltage (negative power supply) not going to -90V its staying at -68v Even if I adjusted the vr701 to the max. The unit has a loss of power now because of this.
No need to take off the face plate, you can see all the pots from removing the top cover and applying some at the seem or take off the control knobs and applying from the front. I personally did both and the controls operate nicely now.
@@justinmakesrepairs4535 good to know, thanks! Haven’t had the time, or the courage to open it up yet. I’m liking the sound, despite it being dirty. I think the tape monitor switch needs cleaning the most

On my 400 the DC ofsett is running at 56 and 61 MV. A bit high. Any ideas why?
Does the faceplate come off easily? Just got a sa400 and a can of deoxit. Never used deoxit but I know it needs it.
