I heard it all the way. I do not understand this concept. I love Greek rebetiko music and i also love western polyphonic n' symphonic music. This mixture of yours here has no character at all. I am afraid it is absolutely unfair to both genres. If i may ask: The ta-ta-ta-taaa in the very beginning- is this a kind of a reference of Beethoven's 5th? What are trying to prove with this? The bouzouki player is great. Lots of feeling and musicianship. But the whole think together is unnatural and pompous.
Please Google Rembetiko Mistirio, a concert organized by actress Anna Fonsou. It's difficult to comprehend the meaning of this OST if you're not contemporarily familiar with the signs of time in Athens, difficulty even for the Greek rural residents nowadays.
Σε όποια εκτέλεση κι αν το ακούσεις, την αυθεντική ή τη συμφωνική είναι απλά θεϊκό!!!
