If you're sunglasses are marked z87, feel free to use them as safety glasses. They met ANSI specs.

Safety should extend beyond just being under the car. Wear safety shoes in the shop. Safety should also extend beyond the shop. How many don't wear safety glasses and wear sneakers or flip flops when using a walk behind mower.
