For all of those who are concerned about the legs, we made skin, hand, knife and model servers possible since probably 2013-14 in community servers. Legs should be able to be worked with once server owners and modders get their hands on the beta/full release :)
@@NJOOSHY They’re not compatible yet because Source2 is not Source and FastDL has nothing to do with Source itself. All that requires for a Sourcemod based plugins to work with S2 is patchwork. I’ve been coding with Source for 20 years. I can confirm it because I know it is possible

Yes so “64tick” and “128tick” still sort of exist. It’s possible to change the tick rate. In CS2 right now it runs on “64tick” so that’s why it feels clunky. I think in the future it will feel better as they update settings
How different would you say source 2 movement is from source 1? Or I guess the better question is how well (do you feel) have they replicated the movement from source 1?
@@memes_gbc674 bhop in cs go is super easy, i stopped playing cs about 10 years ago with 1.6 now im 3 months in in cs go and the bhop even in match making servers feels so easy , and bhop/kz/surf servers feels like you have bhop scripts enabled :D

@@cc3 I’m not a game dev but I’m a programmer and I’m pretty sure havok was used for ragdolls and props etc., not movement. Many other games use havok but none of them have movement that feels like cs
@@WalnutOW also as a programmer, it's surprising that they'd opt to use two independent physics systems but considering source has been described by its developers as spaghetti code or "mountains of ancient code that nobody understood anymore" Its not that unlikely. You may be correct because the movement seems to be extremely similar between source 1 which would be near to impossible if writing the code from scratch without borrowing pieces of code from elsewhere.

Yea! Some really advance techniques are messed up but most of the basic movement is all fine

This isn't quite "kz as you know it" yet, but once(if) ported fully to s2 it should be exactly the same.

Why you have to shake the camera so violently every time you jump?
shaking the camera violently is actually crucial to making otherwise impossible jumps. its a real thing in csgo called air strafing

Yes, it is a part of technic called bunny hopping, the wiggle increases your forward movement speed

New physics engine only affects physic objects like ragdoll, it would not affect movement
But because the game is not a port of CSGO, rather a new build on the S2 engine, the movement feels a little different. They'll perfect it with time
