This week I thought that it would be good to get back to some simple basics: how to hold a colored pencil. And even though this concept is really geared towards colored pencil for beginners, everyone can use a refresher every now and then.
Did you know that there is a right way and even a wrong way to hold a colored pencil? That's right, watch to see how NOT to hold a colored pencil.
While there are several pencil holding techniques that you can use, here are my two favorites: the traditional and overhand grips. See how to hold and use these pencil grips to make coloring easier and less fatiguing on your hands-leading to more fun coloring time!
