Do not be afraid to CALL OUT YOUR TARGETS AS YOU ENGAGE THEM. This is easily the best way to learn as you're basically talking to yourself, but informing your team of what is happening outside of their view. Get in the habit of saying "top mid" or "back base" right before you pull the trigger - experienced team mates will know how to rotate on that position most efficiently, and you'll be racking up assists like candy on Halloween. Also remember the difference between "information" and "attention". If I say your name, it takes... say... one second for me to say it. How many bursts of the BR is that? But saying your name only gets your attention. I still have to tell you what you need to know and that's another like... two bursts of the BR? You'll be one shot before you even know where the threat is. So start with information, location especially. "Top mid". Immediately anyone with their back to top mid will know to add it to their awareness priorities. "Top mid, rockets" will save your team mates. "Rockets at top mid" gives the enemy time to fire the rockets. "Hey MasterChief420 there's a guy with r- " Yeah that's useless. Another good habit to get into is telling your team where you're going. "I'm pushing top mid" tells them an immense amount of information, whether you engage targets or die immediately, they'll very quickly get an idea of where the enemy is and where the threats are coming from.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 Broo everyone call out loke this i have no problems anymore… So frustrating to play with 3 no mic randoms who insult u in text chat foe thinking mic is important in ranked…
@@giantplantofweed6061 I often don't use my mic because seems like 90% of people who do use mics are just entitled assholes who aren't interested in teamwork but just shit talking and yelling at the teammates. So makes me think why would I wanna talk to you
Funny enough, this is what I've been doing lately. Calling out things that I do in game. It even carried over into mine and my buddy's ARK stream. "Alright, picking up rocks now. Grabbing wood as well." 😂
Ofc there's a TON of call-outs to cover across these 6 maps, so there's NO way I got all of them. If you notice any calls/alternate names I missed lmk in the comments - I'll try to give visibility to any helpful info. Hope you enjoy!
Shyway has been the Gothamchess of Halo since he started out in Halo 5. I haven’t seen anyone else put out this kind of masterclass content anywhere. And the fact that it’s free? Just incredible.
Thanks for telling people about their tone-I've noticed a LOT of players make callouts only when they die, and they sound like they're miserable to be alive and already think the game is lost.
Just got into Halo Infinite as an old guy who played H2 competitively. Finished my ten pre-ranked matches last night. Wish more people used mics and when they do, for constructive comms and not complaining. Great job with this video!
Thanks so much for mentioning the WAY you make callouts. You never know how people will react, and if you truly want to win, you'd try not to tilt your teammates.
This is awesome and needed for weekend warriors like myself. Also, I appreciate you going over the origins of some of the call outs. I was so confused hearing "CAR" outside of midship...
Shyway is actually the man! Im kinda new here it's cool seeing his Guides it's often heart warming him paying respect to all the pros alot of the time too 🙏
This is the videos I share to people when they see my clips and ask for advice and I want them to have the best advice in the game. You are the best 👌 keep up the good work king
I call repulse on Recharge Blue Pipes which I think is pretty common. Also, I think triple stack is technically accurate. If you double stack something it means to put a third item on top. There are four barrels, so it's a triple stack. Two barrels = stack. Three barrels = double stack. Four barrels = triple stack. Either way, I just call it stacks.
@@ethanholshouser5648 looked it up and in shipping and inventory, double stack just means a pallet on top of another. So I guess this would really be a quadruple stack. Stacks is better anyway. Shorter.
Thank you for another great video man, I will have to study this one for sure. I am always lacking on my callouts because I'm not sure what everything is called. Your videos are so important to me to improve my gameplay I have an entire playlist labeled "Shyway Techniques"
hey Shyway! Can you make a video on using nades like a pro and nade placements. For example if you bounce a nade off of this wall it land here a highly contested area :) Love the content
Thanks for the video. Hopefully a lot of people watch it. But will definitely share. The only thing that would compliment this would be a video as to why you should use a mic to play. Mic vs no mic gameplay lol
Hopefully enough people see this that it’ll start to somewhat standardize the callouts cuz I’ve heard some weird and confusing callouts. Tone of voice and energy are huge!! I’d argue it can make or break a game.
Great vid, thank you. I also saw interactive maps with call-outs on them, but your vid was much easier to digest and I needed it! The pings in Halo Infinite give different names so people didn't know what I was talking about when I'd repeat those. I'll be revisiting this vid.
This is an amazing video that I've been waiting for since H5. I begged Prox to do a similar vid then. I think it would be great if Bradek would highlight the exact area of the callouts, it would add more detail and depth.
On Streets, I use "Ball Spawn" instead of "ATM" since the Oddball spawns there. Then, there's the little cubby by spikes near it that I call Ball Bench.
Recharge callout suggestion: Whirlpool (pool for short) but the big pillar could be called diving board or high dive. So they could be on the diving board or hop down into the pool (whirlpool)
The story is that in the beginning when Faze played OG. Bound was trying to call out where Trippy was but there weren't callouts so he panickedly called out Trippy....corner....
Really wishing we didn't use midship callouts! So, so, so difficult to explain to new players why we'd say "car" instead of what shows up when you ping
For aquarius, i found that top blue and top red, I know its another syllable but I call them top blue closed and open to distinguish them because of the confusion
We need an updated one for the new season lol, I’ve been hearing callouts like Garden in Streets and not knowing where that is and some of the weapons and equipment have changed
If you released videos without intros just the breakdowns and put them in a playlist with all the maps I feel it’d do rlly well as something for people to go to and would be easy to add more maps just an idea
I'm so bad with names, I'll just hit the waypoint button. I tried call outs and confused teammates more than helped. In Bazaar I call Cafe "Mexican restaurant" lol
I guess the calls for EU and NA differ a little. For example big door on live fire would be garage. And on streets I’ve heard cones instead of ice cream, simply because of the street cones. Kinda interesting imo. There a probably more differences for other regions, I’ve only experienced EU calls myself and NA calls from this video and HCS though.
I know I'm late to comment on this video, but for the "pillar" in Recharge that there is no name/callout for, could also maybe call it Mohalk or Turbine Mohalk. Just an idea for another callout.
Can you please do another map walk through and show some of the good nade spots and rocket spots. - Guys always rocket B rail on streets and sometimes they rocket the planters wall near tires. I also have trouble with grenades on C boxes in Live Fire, and the boxes near sand bags.

L1/L2/L3 in Aquarius is for Long Hall (or "Long" for short), aka Car2 hall between our/their Util
You didn't mention Dugout in Streets, but is that the same as Trash or is it a different place/callout?

L is for Lightning (dynamos) and P is for Planters on Aquarius with OpTic btw
I've also heard L for "Long"/"Long Hall"

Love this is. You should do a spawns video. I’m terrible with knowing spawns

I'm pretty much a master of the callouts even with all the different terms but this video showed me a few new terms I didn't know.
Thank you Shyway!

I hope this video won't be overlooked. The amount of time listening to optics comms is impressive alone. Great work my dude as always

It's double stack because it's a stack on top of a stack.

I think L is for Lightning, as in lightning grenades.
one callout on bazaar i like to use is the jump up from alley to br, i call it “parkour”
their parkour, our parkour / red parkour, blue parkour
On catalyst, I call Car-glass: Iron Man.

The L reference for Car side of Aquarius is L for Lightning (shock nades)
Recharge callout suggestion:
Whirlpool (pool for short) but the big pillar could be called diving board or high dive. So they could be on the diving board or hop down into the pool (whirlpool)
Exactly! I’ve always called it Pool.

P Side means pink side referencing midship. Thanks Shyway.
ngl, I didn't even notice the subtle blue/red coloring on bazaar
Really wishing we didn't use midship callouts! So, so, so difficult to explain to new players why we'd say "car" instead of what shows up when you ping
