- Welcome to part two of our van life experience around Scotland! In this video we're going to be checking out the famous Harry Potter Jacobite steam train, take a dip in Loch Ness, venture a little further north to visit the Culloden Battefield, head over east to the seaside towns of St Andrews & Anstruther to enjoy the stunning Fife coast, and of course eat some delicious food along the way (shoutout Anstruther Fish Bar for the best fish and chips!).
We hope you enjoy the video!

The video of the train was outstanding.
Such a cool train, isnt it ❤️ Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed both Scotland Vlogs and your enthusiasm- Thanks!
Thanks so much Frank! We appreciate that ☺️
What iconic spots! Such a great video, looks like you guys are having a ball!
Thanks so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Awwww glad you enjoyed our country come back soon
Thanks John, we will definitely be back 🥰
Enjoyed your videos of Scotland. The RAF uses the highlands as a training area for low level flying, it's usual fighter jets. They say there is more volume of water in Loch Ness than there is in all the lakes in England and Wales combined. Thanks for sharing your trip.
Woahhh really? Thats a whole lotta water in one lake! Thank you for watching our videos and taking the time to comment, we appreciate it ☺️
Hi to you both. I’ve just come across your channel and I’m loving it. I’m Scottish, I’m from Dundee and love seeing your adventures across Scotland.
Hi there over in Dundee! Thanks so much, very kind of you. Scotland is a beautiful country, you're lucky to live in such a wonderful part of the world ❤️
Well this video was a 10 😍😆 I only made it as far as Inverness, as I went over to Isle of Skye instead. I never got the RAF flyby, that was Epic. Really enjoyed your Drone shots, def the right scenery for that (good work Steve 👏🏻👏🏻) 🎥🥰
Oh we would have LOVED to have gone over to Skye, it was in our original plan but re-routed at the last minute to visit the east coast. Bet it was incredible 😍 Thanks again Adz, always appreciate you and your kind words 🙏
High guys, wow, that was quite a tour in such a short time. You really experienced the best of the highlands and packed in so much. You're so right it can be tricky right on the edge of civilization, but you certainly made the most of it. I am so pleased you enjoyed your time in Scotland and you were so lucy with the weather. It would have been quite normal so have had a lot more of what you experienced on your way back to Glasgow.
Bye the way, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed catching up with the rest of your adventures in your previous vlogs. they were so interesting, informative and entertaining. However it isn't just the excellent content, your prenentation style is so inviting, your warm and friendly personalities just shine through. I especially enjoyed your food reviews. The exotic delicacies you sampled really give a taster of international quisine and you are prepared to try everything, even raw chicken. Lucky escape there! Thank you so much for your channel. The best I've seen on UA-cam by miles!!
Hi Dougie! 👋 Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our videos and send us such a lovely message, really appreciate it - means a lot! 🥰
The train was famous before H Potter was invented .special fly past .They knew you were coming .
We were very lucky to see the fly-by! ✈️
Glad both of you's enjoyed our beautiful country, great video keep up the good work 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
Thanks Chris! Scotland is unbelievable, so so beautiful - we loved it! 🏴❤️
You guys are such a tight unit. This was a joy to watch.
Appreciate that Lewis! 🤗
Wow Anstruther chippy the queue is usually huge
We filmed that part of the line after we ate, there was no line when we got there strangely 🧐
Just found your channel and it’s fabulous. Love your positivity and your very fair reviews. Glad that you enjoyed the food in the UK too. Now I’m going to watch your travels from the very beginning 😊
Thanks so much Karen! Hope you enjoy the earlier videos also ❤️
Hi guy's that was worth the wait and i really enjoyed it, you are two brave people going swimming in Loch Ness I'm to much of a wimp, where i live it's very woody and we get tons of blackberries so i go out and pick a load and one of my brother's has an apple tree in his garden so i get some of them and make an blackberry and apple crumble and get some clotted cream from Tesco's 😋 great fish and chips you had, as you said you were so lucky with the weather until your last day, stay safe guy's and looking forward to watching the Romanian tour 😊, stay safe 🙏
Hi Sean! Thanks very much, glad to hear you enjoyed the video (it was a long one huh! 😅) The blackberry and apple crumble sounds with clotted cream sound delicious, great combination!
Hopefully you enjoy our upcoming Romania videos. Like Scotland, its a beautiful country and very interesting 😍
Just wanted to say I loved all your videos in Scotland. I love that you guys tried haggis etc too, I always love it when people come here and sample the traditional stuff. I’m always the same when I travel, I want to immerse myself in local tradition and custom as much as possible
Great vids, cheers :)
Hello! 👋
Very kind of you to say, thank you so much - we really do appreciate it! 🙏
Love your videos
Thank you John! We appreciate that ☺️
4:31 Lol. At one point I genuinely thought that plane was going to fly into the hill! 😰
So did we! 😅
Great video 😊
Thank you Ian! 🤗
Those big planes are so cool!
They really are! It was so unexpected to, which made it even better 🙌🏼
@@KristyandSteve the stuff you can't pay for is what makes an experience special!!
Absolutely! Totally agree ☺️
It's not a highway, it's just a road. We have motorways which are usually 3 lane roads and fast. Great video, love Scotland it's so beautiful as is Wales and the Lake District.
Thank you Liz! ❤️
All sorts of Army, Navy, Air force stuff happens all over scotland, its used for training, so the no drone thing is real. I lived to the West of Glasgow in the 70" & 80"s it was and probably still is the first place to be Nuced in the world if it all kicked off. We even had sirens, hold on da just got to jump under the table!!!!!
Blacberrys washed and sprinkled with Caster/ fine sugar and frozen , pop in your Gin, amazing and free
Ahhh interesting! Thanks for the info, Gabby ☺️
Glad you enjoyed my home country
Hope you would like to come back
Maybe you could visit Arbroath and try Arbroath Smokies
Absolutely we will be back, incredible country 🏴❤️
Ive never seen the Harry Potter train, but growing up in Scotland, steam trains were common till i was at least 5. So meh, no biggie lol
Oh the entire viaduct area is so beautiful, you should make the trip and see it - so worth it! 🚂
Thanks for watching!
Long may you continue 😅
Appreciate that ❤️
Nothing wrong 67 years and still eating berries grow all around lol
So fresh, no pesticides and lots of antioxidants = delicious!
That van seems cracking for 1 person. The answer would be to buy a cheap tent so the missus had somewhere to kip.
Haha you're a brave man for saying that Anthony! 🤣
😅 i think he's better off not pushing his luck, she's letting him sleep in the bed and you don't wanna lose that privilege.
Bang on! 💯🤣
Loved this video, ps highland cattle are called COOO,S, not cows,
Thank you! 🥰

Scotland has the right to roam, all private land except obvious ones (military, railway, police etc) can be accessed by the public, just respect the land and you'll be good
Oh really? Thats good to know for next time, thanks 😊
Loch low mond
We know this now (after speaking with locals) cringe right! haha 🤦🏻♀️
Nah, you’re not going to know until you know. Hope you enjoyed your visit. Haste ye back 😊
it is small? how big are yiu
Hi! Yes it was a tight squeeze. Steves 6'3 (190cm), Kristy 5'10 (177cm) 😀
With a van that size you have the perfect excuse to get intimate.
Are you in the same Scotland as me just looked outside pouring with rain lol typical but wouldn't be born anywhere else
Haha I think we got very lucky with the weather in Scotland (this was filmed in September), Scotland has left such a great impression on us we are already planning our return 🏴❤️
Cant beilive people waking around Scotland in their t-shirts in September.
We were so grateful for such beautiful weather! Very surprising for this time of year in Scotland.
Thanks for watching!
Its the North Sea we dont call it cold in Scotland, its called BALTIC, maybe that explains it. Not a mosie, a Daddy Long Legs, useless but anoying.
We did hear the word "Baltic" a few times now you mention it! 🥶
St Andrews has a World famous Golf course that hosts World championships. TRUMP owns properties in St Andrews and plays at the course a lot.
Just googled this golf course, looks incredible! Have to book a year in advance to play on it and it is said to be the place where golf was INVENTED! 🤯 Omg that is some history, wish we did a little more research and got to see it - so cool! Thanks very much for this info, appreciate it 🙏
@@KristyandSteve No worries, I think TRUMP wanted to buy it at some point going back.
Sounds like something Trump would do!
