Yesss, Pillow Talk is one of my faves in general! I do love how soft the white is, for wearing on its own, though it was my first white polish. It does take a bit of practice and a sure hand because, as you said, it takes at least three coats to gain a decent opacity. Still, once it's on, it looks SO NICE!
Thank you for such thorough, thoughtful analysis and comparason. I agree that this Zoya white disappoints, but CG and OPI are really good. The SP line has many nice polishes too.
I like the more sheer whites that aren't too sheer if that makes sense. For some reason the opaque whites always remind me of White Out which I used many years ago before computers and that is what usually sticks in my mind even though they are pretty but i have a hard time not getting streaky. So I usually go with a more sheer white. But lots of people can pull them off and they look gorgeous. 💜💅⛸😻🐰
I feel like the Holo Taco polish reminds me a lot of White Out 😂 I like the sheer whites for a polished, elegant look! Thanks so much for watching as always!❤️
My favorite white polish is Wild White Ways from Essence. It's almost opaque in one coat and really great for nail art. 💕💅 I've been looking on a good sheer white though, because I would love to have one, which levels out evenly on one coat. So I could use only one coat when I'm busy but want my nails to look nice, clean and quite natural. And then I could use more coats for more opacity if I want to. Unfortunatelly all the sheer white polishes I've tried are streaky at the first coat...😖 Anyway, loved your video and I would love to see your middle and dark blues! 💙 Greetings from Finland! 😀❤
I bought pillow talk months ago and love the color...just wish it didn’t take 3-4 coats..but if I pair it over a coat of sally Hansen’s hard as nails white, it works perfectly in two coats :)
This is great! I love your color comparison videos. They are incredibly helpful, and I've been checking the existing ones when buying new polish! Do you have any sheer nudes/pinks? I have been looking for a new one to do stamping on top of. My favorite white is Cucio Flirt. The Holo Taco is gorgeous but harder for me to work with.
Thank you so much for watching! I am so glad you enjoy my videos! A new sheer pink that I have been loving lately is SpaRitual Save the Silence, but it is a bit on the pricier side. A great mainstream one that I love (that can also be pricy) is OPI Bubble Bath. It is a great classic that isn't too streaky and is a great sheer neutral!
Just a few weeks before I got summer moon I had thrown away my bottle of White on White because it was years old and very thick so unfortunately I don't have it to compare in this video. However from what I remember they are pretty similar. In terms of formula I think Summer Moon is thinner and would be great for wearing as a solid color manicure and White on White would be a better base for nail art
Alpine Snow looked a little off-white too! I don't like the look of the formula of the Holo Taco White; it looks too thick and I HATE that! It looked really draggy. I think the China Glaze Summer Moon is doing it for me. I LOVE sheer whites! I don't even like them to be opaque. If you like a milky white like I do (which I know you don't) you NEED Zoya Adel; it gets opaque after three coats and it looks like milk glass on the nails. White nail polishes are fabulous! Thanks for the video, Elizabeth, even though you weren't excited for it. I LOVED it!
haha thank you so much for watching Heidi! I will have to check out Adel. They aren't my favorite polishes but they are great at providing an elegant look! I can see what you mean about the holo taco polish. I have a strong feeling over time the formula will be much too thick for me to work with!
Once my bottle of Alpine Snow gets older and has been used a few times it definitely gets thicker and reminds me of white out😂 that is usually when I am just able to apply one coat for a base for nail art
I have Holo Taco Not Milky White and I actually didn't like it. I even renamed it "Holo Taco Not Milky - but very chalky - White", lol! My actual favorite white is Colour Club French Tip.
Haha that is hilarious! I can totally see the chalky-ness to it! It is thick for sure and I am guessing it will only get thicker! I think I like it so much because it is great for throwing just one coat on under some nail art!
I really like summer moon! I think it could be used as a base for nail art, but I think it is a better white for just wearing on your nails as a solid color.
Does anyone else have the problem that when you do coats they don’t fully dry? They never dry for me and they always get messed up and I get mad and I end up taking them of and not doing anything. If anyone knows what I’m doings wrong please tell me. ( also I wait for like 15 minutes for them to dry and they don’t 😐)
I think it depends on your environment/temperature of where you're at. I know one temp takes polish forever to dry but idk of its warmer or colder temps. I had the same issue when I lived in Texas vs now I live in the North so I'm guessing warm temps may cause polish to dry slow.
I actually don't have Olive and June HD! It is on my list to try though I will have to keep you updated when I give it a shot! Have you tried it? I would love to know your thoughts!
I bought yesterday OPI infinite shine2 Alpine snow & it is a terrible nail polish, one of the worst I ever tried. Waste of money, wasn't cheap either. The texture is awful, it gone all bubbles, uneven texture, you got to be a nail genius to make it work

Thanks so much for watching! It really is an elegant shade!
Great picks. Halo Taco I just received. All of the whites from the China Glaze collection are nice.
Thank you so much for watching! The China Glaze collection with all whites really surprised me this year but I really liked it!
Thank you for such thorough, thoughtful analysis and comparason. I agree that this Zoya white disappoints, but CG and OPI are really good. The SP line has many nice polishes too.
I agree about Salon Perfect! I have quite a few in my collection so I might start featuring them more on my channel!

i would love to see the rest of your blues!
That video has been on my list for a while! I will make sure it gets out next week! :)

Nice tip about Pillow Talk, I will also have to try it out over a more opaque white!
My fave is Sally Hansen - white on
I used to love that one! Definitely a tried and true favorite!
Thanks. I like these comparisons. I am having trouble to find a good white. Do you have Zoya’s Purity? Wondering how that compares?
I WISH I had Zoya Purity! I will have to pick it up and then make an updated post on my community tab on my channel to see how it compares!

I have China Glaze "White On White". It seems like a standard white cream, so I'm not sure what's the difference between it and Summer Moon...?

I have OPI Alpine Snow and love it but it kinda looks and feels like white out. Is yours like that? It drives me crazy because it dries to fast.

I love the white nail polish;))
Such a classic polish!

Also, is China Glaze Summer Moon worth it?
I really like summer moon! I think it could be used as a base for nail art, but I think it is a better white for just wearing on your nails as a solid color.
@@eabnailart ok thank you!!❤❤

Estefania Ortiz I have the same problem

@@angel_avengeline13 maybe...I live in California so the weather is like messed up and different all the time😂
I have to try Zoya! You didn't like Olive and June HD?!
I actually don't have Olive and June HD! It is on my list to try though I will have to keep you updated when I give it a shot! Have you tried it? I would love to know your thoughts!
Elizabeth Anne I do like HD. it levels well and I love Olive and Junes brush. I do think it definitely needs 2 coats though.
Zoya purity is a better, brighter white!
Exactly! Snow White is Zoya's "squishy" white, whereas Purity is Zoya's stark fully opaque white.
Ah I don't have that one but I definitely need to get it to try it out! Thanks!
