Thank you for helping me to solve the SYGAV head unit wire connection questions. The manufacture has no clear instructions on how to connect those wires.
Hey. Thanks for posting. Really informative video. I am leaning towards purchasing this unit for my 2019 highlander. Does Apple Car Play stream wirelessly and connect via Bluetooth to this unit? Can you watch Netflix on the unit? If so, do you stream wirelessly from the iPhone or do you need an adaptor from iPhone to the unit? Is there anything else you can share regarding this unit? Thank you!
Apple car play definitely connects wirelessly. You could also connect via Bluetooth directly to it. Android only connects via cable (not wirelessly). As far as Netflix I personally haven’t tried it but it does come with a built in app that support video. But again I have never tried it. Hope this helps
Hi, great video. What Cambus protocol are you using? The puddle lights are not working when I approach the vehicle at night and the convenience setting is not available.
Hi. Thanks for the great video. I have just ordered this and plan on installing it myself. (69F). I saw you used a power tool to get the bolts off but will I be able to use a manual means to do the same thing? Also now that it's a year later are you still happy with the unit that you purchased and installed?
Yes absolutely you could use manual tools. A year later and my opinion hasn’t changed. Zero glitches. Works 100% like day one. And it looks factory installed. Like I said in the video at first a bit costly but now looking back, worth every penny
@@786Garage That is great to hear! I see Amazon is using your video for the listing on this item. I think it was very well done. I'm excited because the unit is being delivered today and I will be installing it tomorrow.
Hello! Thanks again for the info. I am just about to start the install on my 2019 highlander with the SYGAV head unit. I am also going to change out the dash, front door and rear door speakers. Do you know if there is anything I should do while I install the stereo unit prior to installing the KICKER speakers I plan to set up?
As long as you connecting to factory wires you should be good. If you are adding amplifiers and other things then you will need direct runs to the unit which has inputs for. Hope that makes sense
Hi Thanks for the video. I am looking to get it but I’m concerned about 360 camera installed in my 2018 highlander. Do I need some additional adapters to support it. I really like that feature and want it to stay.
@@786GarageI have a Toyota Highlander 2018. Honestly I have the same issue you were dealing with your car. I’m looking to upgrade mine too. It’s been 3 years now since then , how things it’s going on with yours unit ?
Question - I have aftermarket head unit, but they gave me backup camera, do I really need to install another camera to my car or will it work with my original back up camera ?
hey the cable on minute 16:15, how come you did not have to plug it in? I bought this kit for my moms 2018 highlander, and don't want to mess up? do you know what that cable is used for to see if my moms car has that function ?
As long as you fill all of the plugs on the stereo with all the right connections you will be good to go. You can’t go wrong because all the plugs only for in the right/identical connections. After I was done doing so everything is working as it should from factory. I have no issues. But it all depends on your end and how well you connect everything
@@786Garage so I finished, but it would turn on earlier now, when I turn the car on the device powers up but screen stays black, what do you think might be causing this ?
@@786Garage hey just finished installation on in but my question is, do we have to transfer over the mounting bracket (for the four screw we had to unscrew to remove to old unit) to the new unit ? Or do the air vents hold it in place ?
the back up camera is the factory camera that came with the vehicle. The stereo does not come with a camera. The stereo comes with the right connector for the camera to connect to. The quality of the video is excellent once connected. Hope this helps
This will work thru it’s own microphone which is included. The same goes for the gps antenna. It’s included and you could place it internally within the dashboard or on the windshield. Both work very well.
@@786Garage Thanks for your explanation. I’m just curious about microphone and gps antenna from manufacturer. Because Highlander already equipped with microphone and gps antenna. The only question (at least for me) where the manufacturer antenna and mike are located - integrated in stereo or somewhere else?

The wire harness you left out … that the one for plug and play when adding an amplifier line signal correct ?
Yes correct
